They are already out, but they are all full at this time that is why your seeing the old ones.

Yep! They're also a part of the community. Me, personally, I would rather be on an alt than my business avatar. Cuts down on chances of being harassed. I was half asleep when I responded and didn't notice the house was highlighted. Yes, I have heard of a few moles and/or lindens living in the community. @Sylvia Tamalyn is correct, all the houses have the Moles as owners because they are off parcel as to not count against our Li.

and if a new LL house is available will it be at the top of the list or do i need to click the drop down every time?

if you have patience for weeks of clicking... go ahead, i'd say go enjoy your SL and wait till the next batch is released.
At the moment 1 to 3 people find a home during a full 24 hour period .. but there are thousends waiting for one. Calculate your chance... and if it's worth spending all your time on it... go ahead. (i'd opt for a mainland parcel or old linden home now.. practice in low prim living

If you mean that because it shows a Mole as owner of the house, a Mole lives there, that is not correct. All the Linden homes will say that. The only way to see who owns a parcel is to look at the Land box for the parcel itself.

Right. When you get a Linden Home, you own the parcel, but you don't own the house. Its root prim is outside of your parcel, so it's on the public land owned by Linden Lab. That means that the house belongs to Linden Lab or whatever Mole or Linden worked on it last.  You get to live there, but it doesn't count against the Land Impact on your parcel.

it's what you see here by the belliseria addicts   when one finds one, they post it.
Of course i don't know the amount of people who don't post.
But seeing the 700 plots go within 25 minutes there have to be a load of people waiting to jump on the wagon for a home

No idea what you were trying to say there, sorry.

My question was how would anybody know how many homes are claimed in a day. We only know about what is said here. The people visiting these forums, indeed even knowing they exist, is a small subset of the general SL population.  I thought the response was appropriate to the validity of the original statement.

If you spend more than $60 a year on L$, get premium & pay annually, you're only spending an extra buck a month and the priority teleport access to shopping events is worth it alone.

The fact you can then hold 1024sqm of land is a crazy bonus before you even account for the possibility of it being one of the new Linden Homes.

Just incidentally stumbled (or better cammed) into a home that was packed full with hardcore porn photos (as pictures on the walls) and in the middle of it a giant teddybear. Just to test if they had an orb I tried to walk in - I COULD !! - only in chat there was a message "if you are not a friend of xx please stay out" - I withdrew, but ...

What am I supposed to do? ignore it? file an abuse report? ... and if so how? never did that.

I wonder if that is against the TOS? Did they "take all possible precautions" ???

What would you do?

Ignore it.  You had to actually cam into the house -- i.e. behind closed doors - in order to see it.  IMO, that is the chance you take when camming past walls into someone's house.

I think it actually says “all reasonable precautions” which in my opinion they did.  Your camera was on their private property so it had no reasonable right to be there.  Yes, we all do it on occasion by accident or intent and we must respect that what we notice on someone else’s private property is private!

Was quite stunned with what I saw!   

Usually when I cam in I want to get some ideas für decorating my own house.

But I know I do that at my own risk!

As has been discussed elsewhere, the absence of furniture is not a reliable indicator of whether a parcel is owned or not. By far the best way to see the current state of a parcel (and not 'stumbling' upon a person's porn stash) is to right click on the land itself and look at the 'About Land' window. You'll see the owner quite clearly there.

Perhaps that was the message from the orb?  The LH supplied orbs put the message in chat instead of popups, I think?    (I haven't set one up, so I don't know what the options are exactly).

But as far as the material, if it was not obviously visible from off the parcel, I wouldn't be concerned about it.
