Taking a break from the SL Forums

I think so many of us must have one certain poster on ignore since they seem to debate a lot with "themselves".   It's really amusing seeing 1/2 a page of you have chosen......

You may be onto something here!

Suppose that, instead of putting the people who annoy you on "ignore," one were to become so utterly annoying oneself that you totally drove them away from the forum! No more pages full of "You have chosen to ignore . . ."! The forum will be yours, free to range over at your leisure!

Hmmm. Maybe I should try being super annoying, as proof of concept! See what happens!

Personally i rarely have people in the ghost list except those who are very obsessed with their own political views and turn everything to a political talk which is something extremely boring to look at, also a few others who tend to complain about everything. So i have just a few.

(+ apply some html filtering just to keep SL forums nice and tidy on my browser side.)

7 pages though, that is way too many people.

So he can come back and see all the ignored people replied here and therefore he proves his own point, to himself as we don't care?  

Checked my own ignore list and just weird name spammer bots. There are sometimes 2 people that pop on and off there when it all gets a bit much and I can't be bothered with their drivel affecting my day.  Mostly I just scroll and carry on and leave them to twist themselves up in knots.

but tbh, when i started clicking the button frequently some months ago, the pages indeed looked as you described. But seems now those mostly left posting and only come to read. The view on the pages is quite normal again.
A few post mostly in topics i don't read, or rarely anyway,  having Places/Contests/International/Adult sections always closed/hidden, and subsections as Avatar are rarely really interesting when pics aren't a hobby, and seen enough boobs and minimal dressed girls for a gay lifetime.

I only got four at the moment. I usually don't put people on there, if I know they will be gone soon anyway. Like, they make a thread, behave like a butt and are gone once the lock comes down. It isn't worth it to put them on the list just for that.

That's mostly what I end up doing too, and when that starts to happen I take them off Ignore. I have just two people on my ignore list; they are the same two who were the reason behind me taking a break from the forum a couple of months ago. It's a much less stressful place when I don't see them, and I still have no desire to see anything that they may post.

Have a good rest @Adamburp Adamczyk.  I haven't enough sense of time passing to start worrying about people not posting for a while but it was thoughtful of you to mention it.

If it matters, my ignore list is empty.

I'm juss too laaaazy to ignore peoples.. It's sooo much less work to just roll my finger over the scroll button while holding a bunch of grapes in my other hand and plucking them with my teeth,  than it is to do all that buncha extra other stuff you have ta do to ignore someone..

I just enjoy my grapes as I roll on by...
