Your frequent assessment about any complaint has been that the very expression of a complaint ITSELF is wrong and open to challenge.

a complaint is never wrong, but the same complaint repeating for 10 pages isn't a complaint anymore.

Why repeat it then? Stop thinking you are any better!

Well I kind of get you there. I've rolled my eyes a time or two coming upon these same complaints over and over. But, quite frequently they are not lodged by the same person. It's existing in a kind of unreality to respond to each separate person as if they are ALL of the people we've encountered. Best to respond to each person as the new poster they really are.

At the risk voicing an unpopular opinion, I have to wonder why anyone would respond to complaints in THIS particular thread, since by its very title it is a thread dedicated to venting. That's like going out into the rain and complaining about getting wet. To me, this just defies logic.

Yes, there has been a lot of upset comments posted lately. A lot of negative views shared, and a lot of individual threads started dedicated to this very thing. But if everyone was to vent in one specific area then why can't that be tolerated? Providing ToS, rules, laws, and civility is adhered to, isn't venting in the one spot a good thing? Isn't it better to have a majority of the fires contained to one area rather than battling the flames as they pop up all over the forum? And while I know this thread isn't going to stop everyone from posting their own threads completely or even stop the negativity, it may lessen the instances of them. It might even be making people feel a little better to get their frustrations out here amongst others who feel the same way. What's the harm in it?

If people are sick of reading such posts, why come here to this specific thread in the first place? What do they expect to gain beyond further frustration? Is it the sheer thrill of arguing? A need to convert others to their way of thinking? To prove themselves right and others wrong? I just don't get it.

People venting about people venting in a thread about venting... 🙄

So now that I've effectively and undoubtedly offended someone, fire away.

( And yes I'm fully aware I'm venting about people venting about people venting in a thread about venting! *my aching head* XD )

How do we know when they are released?  It's fine to say Monday Wednesday and Friday but since they are gone quickly it would be nice to have an idea of the hour!

they are going within SECONDS. your chances are so low it's honestly not going to make any difference.

I was hoping this time out for over refreshing was going to slow things down a bit and give us more of a chance!...but no! Possibly made it worse. I got up at my usual 1am and patiently refreshed my land page for an hour, only got timed out once in that time (you can log out and straight back in to fix that) and in that hour I didn’t see one house or houseboat come up! Its quite disheartening every release day to come away again (been consistently trying for a home for 10 weeks) with nothing. But I guess I’ll keep trying 👍😊

So in other words, never!  Grumble, grump!   Well I still think they should have a waiting list.  I've been paying premium plus $75 US in tier every month to LL since 2010!  I think I deserve some priority for that.

Wow. Another failed region release today and I got put in time out for trying to refresh to actually get a house!!! I'm seriously debating cancelling my premuim because I amongst several other people are getting ripped off right now lol....

It's not a failed region release. You just didn't happen to get lucky so far. My auto refresh is set to 1:06 and I haven't been locked out. (time out is for children).

If you cancel your premium account, you won't get a refund. The account will cancel when the time paid for runs out. No one is being ripped off, since there are plenty of Linden Homes available. Just not the ones we want for now. It'll settle down soon enough.

Try to relax. It's just a game, and if it's not fun for you, just unplug for a while.

I also have my auto refresh set at 1.06!! So how come I didn’t see any new homes come up in the hour that I tried?  Even though I was reading in the forums that people were seeing them and getting them. Congratulations to those lucky people btw.  It seems I am not that lucky.

On the other hand, the lack of priority (over whatever - length of time in SL, money paid...doesn't matter what) means that you could create a premium alt account right now, and - if you have more than one device - monitor the homes page with both accounts, and potentially get a home with tomorrow with that one day old account (it's no less and no more likely than getting a home with your main account), rather than that new account being allocated priority 38000 or 60000 or 80000 or however how many premium members there are by now. So there's that. 😊

By all this comes some mind playing - if they didnt anyway; Instead of all the stress, why do not they first look at the marketplace which houses sell best and then put similar down? By this, it comes spontaneously in mind as a fitting example in Las Vegas works how the casinos and/or hotels are runned: you build them and after 2 to 5 years when it has refinanced, tear it down and build something new. Just simple as that!? That's just not that difficult digital? Some old pre'ium ones I thought were good, but a garden around each house was forgotten. And they where too much stacked. I already told those back then. Some fair criticism. But nobody is listening to me. gfy

I'm actually trying as my premium alt.  In fact I have two premium alts but one is staying in her old Japanese Linden house for the moment while the other one gave up her home and is trying desperately for a new one.  So in fact I pay for three premium accounts and only one wants a home.   But I would be even more angry if I made a new premium alt and still no home!

I stayed out of the Bellisseria group chats today when the region release was happening.  Not looking for a home. Husband took a Traditional and paused his search for a houseboat.  But I have heard in the groups later on and spotted a few complaining here in the forums, as well as a few personal in-world friends, that the new Linden time-out is glitchy.  Perhaps Linden Labs is aware of this or can look into it.

I do agree with the limited refreshing and getting a time out from excess hits. But when people are getting timed out just by opening the page, seeing a new house and clicking on the NEXT button and losing their chance or hitting the refresh once or twice only and getting a time out, that is a bug, if its supposed to be set up on a 1 refresh cycle per minute, before a time out.  I'd be frustrated, too.

Lets hope that Linden Labs is looking into this so that doesn't continue to happen.  ;)
