Since the 20 year birthday celebration is coming up soon, I don't think they're on vacation. The Moles are certainly busy with that and with the 2048 m Linden Homes. I've seen a few green dots on Linden Home development regions (SSP4000 + and  LH DEV regions).

I think they're busy with something behind the scenes.

Possibly related or not, did you know there's an SSP Conspiracy III region?

Mwaaa ha ha ha! 🤣

As the title says... i really wonder where the Lindens are.
Pulled back?

Didn't see any note or announcement they would leave the most important way to be in contact with their userbase ( next to inworld)

That's what I was asking and wondering too already.

In the US, this weekend is a long 3-day weekend for Memorial Day (observed on Monday).

Since holidays should have more Second Life users, SL will need more support. It makes sense if some Lindens are taking time off prior to the long holiday weekend.

Unless that's the change,  during the 19 yrs before there were only posts like : less support those days .. come back later.
Can't really imagine that they with a much smaller staff suddenly go provide more support.

LL tend to close support over holiday weekends (stupid IMHO given the world wide user base).

I haven't met a Linden inworld in 17 years. And I'm doing just fine.
In all these years I needed help twice from support and that went smoothly.

And for their presence here at the forums: We are such a small chunk of their user base, and mainly a bunch of Waldorfs and Statlers on top of that,
I  can totally see that they communicate less and less here.
Other media get more attention I guess.

Honestly, how dare they give their employees time off work in general.

*stage whispers* I once heard that the Lindens don’t even need to sleep - they exist solely on air.

I agree employees need free time and fair pay. BUT a platform having a global userbase, should have implemented international service times long time ago. That's what work shifts are for and that's what's holiday extra pay compensations (don't know the English word for that sorry) are for XD

My husband's company works with >27 countries and they also have satellite offices in some of those countries, and yet my husband needs from time to time to work at unusual times.

That's how it goes. Last week he had several online meetings with colleagues from Bulgaria and Italy...those timezones ...it was usually at  17:00 their time and WAY past bed time for us here in Tokyo.

So at least one day a week they could offer international... like Europe friendly times at least IMHO

Oh and if I remember right there was some Euro Hotline at least back in 2007 or so don't know why they killed that.

Are you having a support issue and not getting responses?  It may be helpful if you provided some context: whether you created JIRA, tagged a Linden in the Forums, etc.

Some have commented recently at a lack of Lindens in the Forums.. which I don't have an issue with.

That lack of response has caused drama in various threads as questions regarding what and how the Lab is doing different new things, is left up to residents opinions. Personally it strikes me that with the Lindens, it is a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, so that it might be considered best if any communication is left to official announcements.

Perhaps participating in the forum is voluntary and we have made it something they no longer want to do.

I doubt they really "ever" do the Forum, unless:

a) the posts are of a technical nature (in a thread a Mole or Linden follows),

b) someone tags them by name,

or c) someone reports a post/thread.

When they make unpopular policy decisions is it any surprise that there is some pushback? In many instances if the thought behind it was explained I would suspect more would be supportive of them.

We're such a tiny group on the forums. I feel like most sl users don't even know the forums exist. I'm not surprised there is very little linden interaction here.

Does sl have a discord?

The forums were much busier in the past, even with just lurkers but with the new stricter moderation and attendant policies, the forums have dramatically shrunk as a result. Though the Lab do make announcements on other platforms like twitter, one has to wonder what their thinking is when one has to go elsewhere to find information about the platform because threads here will be closed.

Yeah, the only Lindens I've seen in-world (I'm discounting the ones here who have slapped my wrist or suspended me -- does that count as an interaction?) since 2011 or so have been at user group meetings and such.

Oh, and there are a couple I follow on Twitter.

They really don't seem get in-world very often, except perhaps on alts.

Strawberry is sort of active in-world, isn't she?

Gee, I can't imagine why any Linden wouldn't leap at the chance to pop into the forums and become a lightning rod for discussions about company policy.  It sounds like a terrific way to spend a free hour now and then. Assuming that Lindens have a free hour, that is.
