Read up at Nick's response. The last thing we need resident's to decide is if something is illegal or not. That is LL job. Let them do it.

Ahem ... Linden Lab does not decide if anything is "legal" or "illegal" - that is the job of the actual court systems and governments.

Linden Lab decides what they will and will not allow within their service, keeping the above in mind.

Illegal in the sense it's against LL law/ToS.

Doesn't matter/don't care about twisted up senses. Legal/illegal ought to be kept as far away from ToS/CS concerns in all discussions concerning all non-government online entities.

ETA: There is no such thing as LL "Law".

A couple of these sexualized babies with obscene texts on their shirts landed in the park under my store being redesigned atm. Am I obligated to report them? And might I be accused of age-play on my land if I do nothing?

This phenomenon is growing larger, and it's going to give SL an even worse reputation if nothing is done to minimize it.

I believe it's a fad now for many that has grown beyond those who have a need to replay past traumas via abusing others or re-abusing themselves. It is through education that some of those who are more into this behavior as a fad might become aware of it's destructive nature and stop.

Think the phenomena only grows larger when one starts to look for and obsess on it. I've seen some of these things for sale but never bought one but now people making such a deal about them, snotty noses and pigeon toed animations, I think maybe I ought to buy some and go parade in front of some storefronts and art exhibitions. 😏

This is your land, your store, so you have the right to deal with this person yourself if you wish. If such a situation happens in the future, I'd suggest IMing the person and (as nicely as you can) asking them why they have such a shirt on their baby. - My former landlady worked in a public library, and while she couldn't legally forbid patrons from watching porn on a public computer, she could talk to them and make them feel uncomfortable about doing so. Sometimes making a person feel uncomfortable about their behavior is all that's needed for them to rethink it and decide not to do it. - If this person is then rude when responding to you, you would then be well within your rights to ban them from your land and store group.

I thought my post was obvious.  Guess not?

LL law=ToS.      Nothing whatsoever to do with RL law.  Using illegal in regards to being against LL ToS (LL law) in my previous post.

Every few yrs, I go to the newbie freebie shops to see if there is anything that I can modify. Seems like everytime I venture out, theres always a naked guy with a huge freenis IMing me wanting to 'do the sex'. It's a peeve.. but also pretty funny.

That takes me to a peeve for a friend who joined SL.  She went to a freebie place to get some stuff and someone somehow took control of her avi and she can't seem to break from it.

Yes, it was obvious. I thought my point was as well - I don't care nor do I care for it.

Add this to the pile of things I am quite sick and tired of: People using "law" and "illegal" to describe things a software company (especially those who develop MMOs and such) or forum admin (and on and on) will not allow.

I'll not "nitpick" (as someone else put it) further however.

That's nice - stretching the definition as a "gotcha" attempt and a throwaway "last word".

Here's my "last word": Linden Lab is not a Community.

ETA: A Two for? Should have stuck to leaving it where it was.

I. Do. Not. Care.

Get it yet?

I've made it abundantly clear that I do not ascribe such a loose, broad definition to such things. It should have ended at that specific point - I am well aware what the broader definition entails and quoting them at me is little more than a "gotcha" attempt or dig.

And yes, this is another of those things that goes well beyond a peeve - of which I am rather sick and tired.
