  1. Me personally, I buy everything from far more talented creators and the landscape and decorate. I don't have custom things made as that is too expensive and I much prefer mesh to prim builds. iMHO, you don't make money from regions unless you are renting the land out. Even sex Sims are unlikely to make money (perhaps less likely to). Regions are expensive at $200-$300 per month for a full region. It is difficult to make that back. And don't forget the upfront cost if you don't want to rent a region from someone else. Most RP Sims are a labor of love. Someone building something for themselves that they want to share with friends or the community. I imagine there might be some that do but my guess is the vast majority do not. Building something you love, do it because it's fun. It is hugely rewarding to see your vision come to life. Do it for that, not for money.
  2. Hehe. In world group for the CTS Wardrobe tool. It's a visual organizer
  3. This is always a great idea. We do these on occasion in the Wardrobe group and it can really help make a boring task more fun.
  4. I tend to be like that as well, especially for brands. I can almost always recall where I bought something and that is often enough to narrow down to what I need.
  5. It is a visual organizer and automated dressing (using RLV) tool. Basically a HUD in SL and a web page you can use to see what you have.
  6. I tend to hover in the 30-40K range. I use the CTS Wardrobe tool and as a result am fairly constantly organizing things. I do shop a lot but keep it well processed and cleaned out. Over the past year or so I have removed first all of my old system clothing and then more recently been removing anything that is not fitted mesh. The result has been a fairly static inventory count even though I still shop quite often.
  7. I added you as a friend in world. Best of luck fixing the PC. I go nuts when I cant get on mine to do things.
  8. Always looking for people to chat with or hangout. Please feel free to write when you are able to get back in SL. Or even before if you just want to chat.?
  9. I am always interested in chatting especially about video games. Feel free to give me a shout.
  10. It depends on whether you are premium or not. 42 for basic and 60 for premium. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Limits
  11. I live on the private estate region of Aquincum. My home is currently more if a hangout than a house. It is my little playground where I love to landscape and decorate. I love guests so feel free to msg me if you would like a quick taxi for a visit
  12. Try a different region. Choose a default skin from the built in options. Or just grab a new copy and start over. That's usually the fastest.
  13. Actually it's very easy to delete a folder accidentally. Backspacing at the wrong time trying to rename can do it. Accidental mouse drags happen all the time especially when it is laggy. I am often finding folders dragged into others by mistake. It doesn't have to take a conscious effort. Sounds to me like you had 1000s of items in your trash either accidentally or other wise and you emptied it. I do a no copy search before clearing my trash each time and review each folder name manually. I can assure you I do find things that I didn't intend to delete.
  14. Hey there. I am on SL most week days from like 7 am SLT until about 2:00 pm SLT. I like most of the things on your list. I love shopping, decorating, landscaping, dancing, exploring and photography. Feel free to give a shout if you want.
  15. Welcome. Yea the best thing is to just dive in. Wander around, search and explore. Find a mentor if you can because it helps a ton to ask questions. Press F1 in the viewer to get some simple tips. And have fun.
  16. Accessing adult content has nothing to do with premium. It has to do with the birthday you gave when you signed up. If your over 18 based on that date then you can enter adult rated regions. Open preferences in the viewer and you can select the regions you are able to access on the General Tab. Your house you need to select from your dashboard at secondLife.com. login there and click the premium benefits link to start the process of selecting a home.
  17. I am from the US but am most active in SL from about 7am till noon SLT. I am always looking for people to chat or explore or just hang out with. Feel free to give me a shout.
  18. See in your photo where it says advanced? Try clicking that. I think it gives more granular alpha slices.
  19. No one here can help with that. If you have billing questions you need to contact Linden Lab directly. See https://support.secondlife.com/billing-support/ for information.
  20. Greedy and Cards Against Humanity are popular.
  21. I use Picmonkey almost exclusively. It is a little more point and click and I am not very good with PS. It gets the job done. I do occasionally use gimp for very specific ideas/effects.
  22. Then perhaps the birth year you entered when you signed up doesn't have you as old enough. There is no way to change it or verify any other way.
  23. There is no longer a verification process. It's all based on the age you are based in the birthday you gave when you signed up.To access M and A rated regions make sure you have them selected in the General tab in preferences.
