  1. I think they will look towards name change prices in other MMOs and settle into the 10-15 dollar range. It's pure profit regardless. Almost every online game has this as a transaction option.
  2. As someone who spends an awful lot of time sorting inventory, opening and sorting gachas, and more or less living on a simple platform in the sky most of the time, I can assure you that it is deceptively simple to drop items into a prim. Making sure everything around is properly locked is your best defense. No special anything required. It happens with the same easy that folders can be accidentally dragged into other folders just in inventory. There is no magic to this, when items end up in a prim, someone put them there.
  3. That's a start, but really I am not going to go looking up pictures of things for you. Your much better off posting a link to an actual picture of what you want. That said. You need to start with 2 (3) places. 1. serpahimsl.com and start browsing events. Find items that are close to what you want and note down the stores to visit. 2. Check out the store Tee*fy and the store Tres Blah.
  4. What exactly are you hoping to find? Maybe share a link to a photo of a RL outfit?
  5. To me the missed opportunity on Glytch hunting is the ability for residents to add them to their own parcels. This has been coming soon since October. As for my extra commons.. i just toss them now.
  6. Sharing inventory would be neat. If only to share ideas on how to organize and sort. The commenting thing would be interesting but the UI on that would be hard with out things are already.
  7. Planetside 2 is a great example of what can be shoved in a single instance
  8. Pick your favorite shop, visit them in world, look for the NEW signs. Lots of new stuff out there.
  9. So I do use the internal browser fairly often. I have a custom homepage setup with the links I use the most often. I mostly use it for accessing my RLV wardrobe and other specific Second Life things. IN large part the reason to use it is for immersion i guess? Keep you in the viewer focused on the world? Its likely far more useful for someone with only a single monitor in that regard.
  10. I have been hanging out on these forums a little more as of late. I am never really sure why I stop. But I thought to keep myself engaged I would pose up some questions of the day just to get some discussions flowing. QOTD: Do you use the built-in web browser in the viewer? Since Linden Lab upgraded the browser engine to the Chrome Embedded Framework (CEF) the browser has been far better at page renders and the speed has increased. It's still not perfect, but greatly improved. Do you use the browser? What actions do you use it for?
  11. I am going to take a stab here and say that the legs attached to one of your HUD attachment points by mistake. If you look at them in your appearance floater it should say the attachment points they are on. Chnage that to something different by right clicking and selecting attach to.
  12. So my first recommendation is to get over it. 1) just pixels, 2) SL is filled with people who have the same or similar fetishes. If you want privacy get some land, set it to no access and amke it so people cannot see in. Best you can do. Its pretty easy. No need to get a full homestead or anything.
  13. No you don't. If you hold 50000 m2 you pay as if you actually own a full region because there are not another tiers between 49k and a full 65k.
  14. It is called tier because on mainland you pay a certain amount based on what tier of overall land you hold. You don't pay by the exact amount you hold but by where in the tiers of payments you fall
  15. Parcel audio is not synched. The streams that come through them usually are in sync because of how the internet radio stations are streamed, but often times I have been at a region and listening to one song either ahead of or behind people I am there with. Those sorts of things are all direct connections to those URLs, they have nothing to do with Second Life.
  16. Premium stipends are paid on Tuesdays I believe. So if your 45th day happened after Tuesday you would get your stipend the next Tuesday. I don't think there is any difference with the bonus stipend vs the weekly in terms of payout.
  17. Sorry yes you are correct things like Shoutcast etc are not actually multicast. I stand corrected. Doesn't change the fact that there are no ways to do in SL what you are wanting to do with video. Sync'd video doesn't work. There are, too the best of my knowledge (i would love to be corrected) no video players that enable a video stream to be streamed to everyone in an area at the same time. You can define a playlist from something like youtube, but you cant play it out to everyone. Good luck you your club though
  18. 1. the 224, 144 are the coordinates of the parcel on the region. 2. Use this to help determine prims/ pricing : https://secondlife.com/land/pricing.php 3. You get your first 1024 free but you can pay monthly to get more. See the link above. 4. You can buy any amount of land up to 1024 for free. You could buy a bunch of little 32m2 parcels if you wanted...i dont recommend that though : ) 5. Yes it must be on mainlad.
  19. Music yes via parcel media, but that is playing a multicast stream. My point is i dont know anything like that for video to tie into.
  20. I don't know of any system that shows the same video stream to multiple people at the same time. There is no way to do it unless you find something online that is multicasting the exact same position, even then though the spee at which people see things... i dont see how its ever possible to do.
  21. I dont think you will find any TV anywhere in world where you can start a stream another people will see it in sync with you. As I read back I think that is your goal? To use it in a club setting for lots of people to both see the video and hear the music at the same time?
  22. Ah that is not how i setup media on a prim. Your right you cannot click on anything that way. However, really as I think about it you cant really do what you want to do in SL regardless since only parcel media is persistent. Parcel (web/shared) media isn't persistent regardless.
  23. I did try it as i said. It works perfectly well. No idea what you are doing wrong. Perhaps its an issue with the viewer you use or the region your on...no clue. But i can assure you creating a prim, setting the media to http://www.yoututbe.com allows you to click and browse and navigagte the site as if you were on your computer. You dont need buttons, you just click.
  24. Then click the button to make it full screen?? it works perfectly well. Perhaps your only option is finding someone willing to steal the videos off you tube, host them indefinitely and pay to multicast them for you..best of luck with that.
  25. I am not sure why that would be other than perhaps you still had the prim in edit mode when you clicked? I am looking at a player i use in my classroom right now and I can click, search, browse all i want.
