    Have you actually tried it? I can make a prim right now, set it to youtube, load up a playlist and off it goes. Its just the website, using a prim as a browser. I just did it with a playlist i have, plays through and swaps to the next. You can even login and grab playlists youhave created.

    Why not just do as suggested. Make a prim, change the media to Youtube.com and browse to what you want to stream? You don't need anything but media on the prim to click and browse and search and do everything. Nothing special needed.

    Just to be clear... you want to get a TV, backed by an externally hosted website, where the people who run it steal content from YouTube, store said content, and then pay to multicast it to you and anyone else in SL on demand?

    I recently moved to the mainland and was able to get LL to sell me the land i requested directly. I fully expected it to go to auction, but they sold it to me direct and I didn't hold anything on mainland much less that region prior to the request.. I spoke with Guy Linden when he was helping me get it bought and he said they are in deed swamped with requests of late.

    I use a tool called CTS Wardrobe with a healthy dose of the awesome inventory features in the Catznip viewer. Like many I make use of a lot of subFolders to divide things. The wardrobe tool helps a ton with this. I make videos about Wardrobe and other SL and opics including the inventory features of Catznip. They are on my blog at everythingbutta.net.

    This simply is not possible. You have two choices either get your own land set it so nobody can see you and stay there all the time or log out. Otherwise as long as you're on a region people can see you. Instead I suggest simply learning to block and ignore all of the lame attempts from guys. Edit: I suppose there is a third option, just make yourself 100% alpha when you go out.

    When you count all the things that go on or affect the avatar directly (clothes, accessories, animations and of course body's and body parts) I am sure that I am now spending more on fashion. I rent a relatively modest parcel on a private estate so that, combined with the fee new housewares I buy is pretty insignificant comparitivly. That said, when I had my estate and was buying regions and in the months I was not fully rented my land costs far exceeded what I pay in clothes now. So I think it depends. For me now it is definitely spending on my avatar.

    You want an applier that will match your head and skin. Trying to adjust tint will always and forever be noticeable. While you don't technically need it you kinda do. The rest has been pretty well covered.

    One other thing to note is that once you change the texture on something you cant go back unless you have access to the original texture (which you wont on most houses you purchase). So you will want to make sure you have copy of your house hand on the change you dont like the change. If you have questions feel free to shout at me.

    @Cerebrogasm well it is actually possible for you to make your own skin with appliers for everything, in which case you would have the UUID> I have only worked a little with the Aeros line but did find the you have to accept a certain amount of discrepancy when dealing with the match. I would suggest one of the shadow free windlights like CALWL orStrawberry Singhs Closeups. Both will help you find a closer match. Best of luck.

    unless you have a full perm copy of the skin texture you cannot get the UUID. Most skins dont come that way because once you have that you can pretty much do anything you want with it. You may be stuck getting it close enough.

    @HaileeTempesta it kinda sucks that things have devolved so much, but I do actually know at least two times when I have been approached by avatars which turned out later to simply be new alts of a former gf. I didn't ever voice with her so voicing after wouldn't have mattered, and I can't imagine voicing with every possible friend just to make sure that they cant try to jerk me around in the future. Shame there isn't a better alternative to identify people.

    I just want to second @SAULGOODiE comment on voice and DJs. Talk over the music once or twice in between tracks providing some thanks yous to the venue etc and I am ok. Break in to the middle of a track to welcome someone or make another comment and I am very likely to leave. i come for the music, i come to hear the arrangement that the DJ puts together. I will say this, if you are going to voice get a REAL mic. Not the one on your head set, not the one on your pc. Get a nice condenser mic and make sure you can control that channel separate from the music. The only thing worse than having the music interrupted by a DJ that feels the need to talk is when its done on a scratchy, low end mic.

    i am a huge fan of voice and skype and discord and all of that, but i never think someone is less because they feel differently from me. I never think to use voice as a way to verify anything, just as an other way to communicate for those interested and able. Night I would love to have you as a friend, give me a shout anytime if you want to hangout.
