I've spent the day clearing up pee and vomit, because my real life brother is real life poorly currently - on top of having to deal with the day to day half a body of paralysis thing that happened 17 years ago when he had a stroke.

Came in here for some light relief, and all I see are people I term to be quite good friends in SL terms having petty childish squabbles, just because of what now? Because some dude happens to tweak his avatar and looks pleasing on the eye. So does a decent vase of flowers.  There certainly was no need for the b1tching that followed, and the subsequent apparent falling out.

I hope that you all will sleep on whatever disagreements you've been having on these forums today, draw a line under them, and start afresh tomorrow.

We are all grown ups already!

Nope. Centimetres. I look like I'm nine months pregnant. It's what really prompted all the tests.

Good god. I read it as mm, just because... that was bad enough. Jeebus. :::very careful hug:::

Yeah. I said a lot of ummm....stronger...words lol. On the one hand, I'm extremely tired of people asking when I'm due (or was tired, before self-isolation). But on the other hand, it's not so bad to be 50 years old and the question they don't ask is aren't you too old  to be having a baby? Nice stroke for the ego 😁

Please keep checking in with us

They decided to keep me in overnight, to continue tests and scans tomorrow.

I managed a couple of hours sleep before being woken at midnight for another blood pressure check (even higher than before), followed shortly after by a different medication. They'll be back to check its effect on bp soon, so I guess it's reassuring they're trying to find something that helps.

It's hopeful the loss of vision in my eye won't be permanent. It seems like it might trace back to January when my emotional stress levels and survival threats kinda peaked, and progressed from there. Recent stuff hasn't helped, and it definitely feels like throwing up my hands and just getting medical care as first priority is where I need to be.

In other news, I'm glad I missed the drama here! Love to all who need it xx

I’m feeling angry. Like a white-hot rage kind of anger. And I’m tired which is making my anger worse, but I can’t sleep because I’m angry, and it’s building and I want to beat several people over the head with a big bloated rotten dead fish but I’m trying not to because everyone else seems to have a bug up their butt today, too, and then it would be Forum World War  IX or something like that and no one needs to have the forums explode BUT OMG I WANT TO SCREAM.

Maybe if I take a couple more Benadryl and an extra blood pressure pill...

I’M SICK OF DOUBLE STANDARDS FOR MEN AND WOMEN.

Just think of it as not contributing to the American commercialism/racism surrounding Cinco de Mayo!

I'm not American, so any racism regarding Cinco de Mayo must have slipped by me. But I remember Cinco de Mayo starring in a Seinfeld episode once, and THAT was funny. 😋

Today is my day for really not having the right emoji responses at my disposal.

/me pats your head and "there, there"s you. (Note, it isn't spelled their, their in this case, which is a reference to a deleted subthread in which hilarity ensued.)

Forum WWIX was so last decade. On a Thursday.

You might need to flounce gif.

We're all cranky, tis true. And weird sheet be happening.

Have you ever wonder what the species of bug it is that causes so much problems in butts? (I highly suggest NOT Googling it.)

I went through this with both eyes when my illness started if it helps any within 48 hours of the neurologist starting the steroids  (granted it took 6 weeks for them to prescibe them) my eyes started to return to normal.  I hope for the same for you once they start on a treatment regime.  I am not really someone why prays (lapsed catholic) but I do remember laying in the hospital bed talking to God saying if its between having my legs working again or my eyes, please let me have my eyes because the thought of not seeing my beautiful boys is worse than the thought of not walking again.  🤗

I'm so late to this, so sorry. I am relieved they have taken you in for observations. The vision disturbance was like my brother had a few weeks before he had a stroke, and that was down to high blood pressure. You are in the right place. Your vision WILL go back to normal when they sort out the blood pressure issue.

We're all right this morning, thanks for your concern. He gets badly affected by the sudden hot weather and his blood sugars go haywire, then he goes into pee overdrive and has a vomit crescendo. It happens from time to time. Then he sleeps, and I clean and clean, and he's ok today, just tired and no appetite, but he does have a district nurse and someone in to assist him with a shower this morning, so all is good again.

I tell you what I really liked the other day, someone - was it you? - posted a gif of, oh was it Taylor Swift , floucing, hissing, with a snake. Oh gosh that was marvellous. I can't find it now.

My ex girlfriends would usually scream the opposite at me!  😔

On a side note: Anyone seen Amanda Keen (I think) lately? Not seen a Jennifer Aniston GIF for a couple of weeks now!

Beth and I sometimes talk in Taylor gifs. She once stated that there's a Taylor gif for everything. She was right! For hair flipping, flouncing and angry snakes, there's a ton of 'em. :) Here's the one you were thinking of, I think:

I'm super groggy and just cannot wake up this morning - coffee doesn't even seem to be making a dent.  I slept fine for the first few hours, but then started waking up a lot.

UGH, and now my f***ng space bar key is sticking on one side.  I do not remember spilling anything lately.  I'm supposed to be working - not a good time to have to take the damn keyboard apart for cleaning.

She's changed her name to Amanda Crisp, but hasn't been in since 27th April. I hope she is OK too!

Hungry.

I'm feeling hungry.

Because of another thread's food suggestions.

And I have eye strain.

Because I am trying to make £100 stretch to £200 of stuff, and no matter what I do, it won't stretch that far, so I am squinting at loads of different pieces of paper with drafts on.

And I keep breaking off to check the forums!

And my glasses lenses (varifocals) are out of alignment, with no access to an optician until lock down.

In the big scheme of things though, I'm feeling fine. A bit over-caffeinated no doubt though!

And jolly relieved the full moon was yesterday, so I don't feel as "snippy" with people.
