I live inside the Perimeter in the Atlanta, GA area. I was born and raised in Tampa FL. In regards to Florida being upside down...it's because the state was settled....oddly. Northern panhandle was settled by people coming down from Georgia and Alabama. The southern tip was settled by Latins coming up from the Caribbean St Augustine was settled by the Spanish and is the oldest continuously occupied European-established city in the continental US. The center part of the state was actually settled by people from New York. Tampa was the end of the line of the railroad built by Henry B. Plant. So a lot of settlers came in by way of the railroad from the north. Then the others met in the middle. Gotta love Florida history from classes taught in school.

I have a Linden Home, Skylight, and I think I've done a pretty good job personalizing it.

That part of the TOS keeps getting missed to be updated. The page you are referencing was last updated in 2012. I did submit to LL to update that page to reflect the current policy. As I said, 5 per household, as LL discovered, was unrealistic be cause of households/college dorms/etc sharing one router/modem. It was changed to 5 per email address a while back though I can't find the specific reference. Try making more than 5 alt accounts on an email address; you can't do it.

Chances are that though the shoes are mod, they are prim and are shrunk as small as they can be. Prims can only be shrunk to 0.01m, including width. So...get new shoes. Newer shoes are much better quality.

Chances are you weren't hacked but phished. I'll bet you clicked on one of the phishing links that get spammed then logged in so gave the phisher your user name and address. They then logged in and cleaned you out. As stated above, you need to do the support case. Also, in the future, don't click on those links that appear to point to marketplace stores. You NEVER have to log in to the MP just to browse. The most that will happen is if you aren't set to for adult and it points to an adult section, you'll get the regular splash page when you open the MP and told you aren't authorized to view adult items. If you ever do click on one of those links, if it want you to log in to the MP first, it's a phishing link.

Another option is the Tonic; either fine or curvy. For 2100L you get the body, static and bento rigged hands and feet that can be adjusted to flat, med and high and are Slink compatible. There are plenty of clothes for the Tonic with more coming. It's Omega applier compatible out of the box so no extra installers to buy.

Replacer in what context? It may be that the body is being updated and you're getting an update that will replace your current body.

What you are seeing is a shadow that's added to look like the blood vessels in the eye. Catwa eyes have the same thing. You need to adjust the eyes in the head. There's a hud for the eyes that you can use or you should be able to adjust the placement manually. Be sure you also have the alpha on that hides the system eyes as well.

Tonic is a good option. For teens, it's not so much about the body as it is the face. Teen's can have large breasts. My mother was a C cup at 13, for instance. A teen will have a rounder face, fuller cheeks and a bit more jowl for that baby face look. They start loosing that at 21-22 as they finish puberty, which is why 20-something actors can play older teens. So, you might be better off with a system head and the Tonic Fine, Slink Physique or Maitreya body for your mesh.

The male Belleza body is in beta and is in the hands of selected designers to make clothes for so it will be on the market very soon....smiles.

Have you done any terraforming? There are times, if you raise the land then lower it, the collision coordinates for where you raised it are still there. I've had it happen a number of times and had to have LL come out. Just a thought

That is part of the point of the book. There is a movie coming out with Emma Watson. I actually have to stop reading from time to time because it gets intense. I was just mentioning that I'd seen an article that I can't find not suggesting the universal ID on the net. It's definitely dystopian.

I'm currently reading Dave Eggers' The Circle. The book is scary and I suggest everyone read it. A movie based on it is coming out but I'm not sure how close to the book they will remain. One concept from it has actually been suggested. That's that you have one sign in identity for the Internet. Your bank and credit information is linked for you to use, though not searchable by others. You can't be anonymous on forums or make anonymous comment under a sock puppet. Sounds reasonable, to a point. The reason trolls can get away with stuff is that they are saying things they'd never say if people knew who they actually were.

Linden Realms is probably your best bet. You run around, collect crystals that you can turn in for cash.

Unfortunately, if there was a jump in prims or a griefer, the land settings don't return last rezzed first returned but will return randomly. I've been on several RP sims that, because of needing rezzing open for bullets, griefers have taken advantage of that and large portions of the sim builds have disappeared. BTW, look in your lost and found and see if you have objects that look like a lot of little boxes together. If so, that's where your stuff it. It was returned in a coalesced object. You'll need to be sure you are in a place with enough prims and space then rez those out as they will rez out in the relationships they were when they were returned. Good luck.

Radegast is Windows and Linux only and has an extremely limited graphics interface and doesn't render mesh at all. Lumiya is a limited visual Android app that you pay for once but it is still somewhat graphics intensive. Radegast is based on the LL viewer, which is open source. Android is also open for app makers. Apple, however, is not an open system like the others which is part of the reason why you rarely get viruses on their devices. There was, at one point, an Apple based app called Pocket Metaverse but I don't think it's still available.

Not just no but hell no. If you want to use emojis, then hit forums and Skype. SL is more than an animated chat platform. In RL you would got up and say LOL, I'll BRB, smiley face. I personally believe SL should be treated the same way you treat RL in conversations. Emojis work on Twitter and phone messages because of lack of character space. That's not a problem in SL. I teach RP classes and already have a problem getting players to drop the text/l33t speak when doing roleplay. I don't have a problem in IMs or group chats with the abbreviations but you don't RP LOL,,you say /me laughs loudly. Sorry, but people are already replacing proper spelling with advertising spelling, lite rather than light for instance. Let's not drop our language skills even further, please.

The thing you need to remember is that when you look at the map and see the blue areas, those aren't really "sea" but fake hold spots for areas that are places that sims can be placed. For LL to do what you are talking about would require those areas to become actual sims that require server space. I don't see LL doing that.

Sounds like a combination of 2 things. One is if it's mesh, you don't have your LOD high enough or you need to update your viewer, as suggested above. The other is there may be some alphas textures in the hair and you're having the OpenGL glitch that happens with alpha conflicts. It's a problem with the program, not you, and isn't specific to Second Life. It happens in any online game that uses OpenGL for part of their graphics rendering. There's nothing you can do about that particular problem.

10,000L won't even begin to cover the cost of a custom avatar to be made. It will cost you more in the several hundreds USD...Since you want anthro, you might check out the Kimono avatar. It comes in parts and is modifiable and customizable. Good Luck.

I'll still post...I'm an admin in an RP sim in SL. We've had players that have passed and we try to remember them. We name shops on the sim after them or we name streets, etc. Most recently we had 2 players pass that had been with the sim almost from the very beginning. We had a wake for them where I gave a short speech remembering what they'd done for the sim, some of the more memorable RP's they'd participated in, etc. i also had, prior to the meeting, gotten pictures from everyone of the players and set them in in a rotating slide show. We all remembered their kindnesses and their foibles. We celebrated their lives and shared what they'd meant to us.

And with the new forum, there's no way to report to the mod.
