  1. Hello, i have problems with my bento head layers (neck tattoo, hairbase and beard) and i hope im right here. Beard and neck tattoo are on the same layer and the hairbase not. Hairbase and neck tattoo works but if i add the beard the neck tattoo lose some parts as you can see on the picture. How can i fix this? Thank you Baracu
  2. I've been searching all over trying to find an answer for this. Maybe it's right under my nose, but I can't for the life of me seem to figure out how to fix this glitch with eyelashes on the Catwa Catya Bento Mesh Head. I know I can switch from blend mode to mask mode, and that does seem to fix the glitch with my eyebrows, but reduces the quality of the lashes greatly. I see others wearing their lashes for Catwa on blend mode, with makeup on even, and it looks fine. Any assistance on how to fix this issue where there's a flesh toned background to the lashes that cuts into my eyebrows would be much appreciated! I've attached a photo for reference.

  4. I have been working with Blender for mesh clothes creation for a year now, and have found my way around most problems I encountered so far. Most dev-kits have their own little quirks and once you know about them you can solve the problems they cause. One problem I have not gotten out of the way is rigging for Bento hands. Especially Maitreya and even more so: Belleza. Belleza's dev-kit bento hands can be imported and avastar can convert the rig, but does not provide the bones for the hands. Rigging to a standard avastar 2 skeleton really gives horrible results (deformed hands and fingers). The cause is most probably altered bones... Does anyone know how to properly set up the Belleza bento hands (or cheeky question: has a blend-file with a properly set-up set of belleza (bodies and) hands) in Blender + Avastar 2. Editing the skeleton bones for the hands seems like a world of pain on it's own...

  6. Let's say I have a pose that raises right hand forward with some bento hand gesture... Is there a quick way to mirror a pose, including bento poses? For non-bento poses I have tried QAvimator and BvHacker tools but didn't find any option for quick mirroring. As for bento poses, I guess any full body pose mirroring must be done with Blender+Avastar2 combo but I could not find any info on how to quickly mirror a pose besides selecting each relevant bone at a time from one side, copying its pose and pasting the mirror copy to the other side.
  7. Hello! I'm trying to rig a bento hand for avatar, but every time unsuccessfully. Can someone give a link to a good non - Avastar tutorial or explain in your own words what I'm doing wrong? here is the process i use: -- downloaded bento workbench from this site. -- opened in a blender. -- I create an object (hand). -- I place the object and the skeleton on one layer. -- I select object, then a skeleton. -- I hit control + P. -- I choose the Armature deform -- With automatic weights. -- I check if it works in a Pose Mode. -- I export in a collada format with object and skeleton both selected. -- These are the settings I set when exporting. -- When uploading a model, this is the screen (weights and joints are not displayed). that's all. I do not use Avastar, because I am not familiar with it. can this be done without it? what am I doing wrong? With a regular skeleton rig, everything works out perfectly, the process is the same. How is bento different from normal besides more bones? And do i need to delete unused bones? Please, help!

Very difficult to show in a photo because both the further away and the closer the camera, the more the lines vanish (so fickle!), but are most visible without looking through the lens: What isn't showing in the image are the two bold black stripes down the front of the neck (not just on the sides, which appear to be very small and faint in the image - trust me, they're not). I did take one creator's very kind suggestion to go into the HUD settings and hit Repair Transparency and Repair Materials, but they remain. I also tried rerouting, thinking that applying them to one of the other available tattoo layers would make them vanish; they remain as visible as ever. Not sure what's causing it or how to fix the problem. There's some great tattoo layer hairbases, but I can't use them. I can, however, use normal tintable hairbases without a problem, so not all is lost. This is only something that happens with tattoo layer bases and something that's bugging the living heck out of me. Anyone else noticing/experiencing same problem or is it - as usual - just me the technical gremlins enjoy driving insane? Just in case it's suggested - I've already done three re-deliveries, so I don't think it's that. It's got to be something I'm doing wrong but I can't - for the pixel life of me - figure out what.

  11. Hello! Are there good shape makers? I need someone to create such a shape as in the picture, for the Catwa Catya head. I use the Maytreya body and I can keep the default body params. The default peach skin is also better. Who interested please write here. But I can not pay much. Yes, by the way in the picture is Ana de Armas from the movie Blade Runner 2049 as Joi.   14. As I swim deeper into tutorials and manuals about Bento heads, I am more awed than ever by the artistry and skill that goes into these creations. I'm in the planning stage for animated movies that use Bento-enabled facial expression. Current heads meet many of my needs, but sliders can't quite achieve a particular shape I'm seeking for special applications of projected light. As an animator with crude modeling skills, I could conceivably sculpt and rig this shape on my own. Would that mean weeks of study and $$, or months and $$$$ (for Mudbox or Zbrush)? What about commissioning the shape from a 3D sculptor and paying another artist to Bento-ize it? Could a major creator easily produce a variant, which she could then sell in her store? I realize there may be many possibilities. Before I choose a path, I'm just seeking perspectives from this expert community. Thank you!

I am wondering if The mesh project will update their bodies and heads to bento i love the body is really pretty so i am asking do you think be updated to bento fingers move or ect i mean it would be nice because from what i know pretty much all mesh body or most has updated to bento just not this one so yeah what you guys think
  16. I started playing with making animations using new Bento bones lately and noticed a weird issue I haven't seen before. I've made an animation for a tail and uploaded it to SL but it somewhat degraded in quality. The first video is the animation as seen in Blender 2.78 and the second is inworld after export using Avastar 2RC9 .anim exporter option. I tried using BVH format but it completely scrambled up my animation to the point of not resembling the original one at all. The issue mostly appears in slower animations. I read somewhere that SL optimizes animations throwing out frames where there's only a small change from the last one, I tried changing fps of the animation, its length and speed but it didn't seem to change the resulting inworld animation. The only improvement I noticed was when I used NLA Editor and duplicated the animation a couple of times and lined up one after another, extending its length this way. The result was considerably closer to the original animation but still not as fluid. I'm curious to hear from other animators how to deal with this issue.

I made rings/accessory for bento hands. but A problem occurred in Belleza bento hands... plz tell me about Belleza bento hands in Blender ■ I imported Belleza bento hands(dae file) with reference to this site. https://avastar.guru/fragment/devkit-import-belleza/ in my case → Target Rig : Extended (cuz use bento) ■ When I validated hands bone, it became like this → https://prnt.sc/n65p0s I seem to have some problem...? ■ I made a ring to this hand in Blender and upload in In-world. but when I wear ring, a finger did not have it. It was put on in the place apart from hand. I tried the same procedure by Belleza body. Belleza Body(dae file) was available without a problem in Blender and mesh object corresponding to this body was available without a problem in In-World btw, I use → Blender 2.79 / Belleza_FemaleBentoHands_DaeApril2018 (dev kit) I am troubled very much. plz help me :'(
  19. Sorry not sorry :( For the ears, why are only bento canine ears like, super duper tiny? Looking for some giant maned wolf-type ears that would still be giant if I had hair on my head. I made my current ears (image found here) but can't figure out how to rig them - if someone is willing to help me do that, that would be dope. Otherwise, if you can make similar ears and rig them, I would love you long time. FOR THE TAIL...I'm not even sure how this would work, but I'm looking for something like a Saluki tail. I'm stuck using flexiprims right now because it's kind of like, the only thing that really works for how it should move.   20. Hi, As the title said, having trouble with snap to base function or store join edits with avastar. I'm currently working on the Kemono bento base file and I've made wings that use the bento fingers but when ever I've made the edits and select the bones to press "snap to base", it either reverts the fingers back to default or pushes the skeleton back and keeps doing so. Was wondering if there was a reason for this. Thanks, Mimaah

I've had my account for a long time but only now getting into it regularly, and finding that I'm abominable at shopping. I don't know the right devs to search for, so any and all suggestions are welcome. I'm looking for realistic looking hair in blonde tones, with or without roots, and also with or without base hair (babyhairs). I'm using a Catwa Catya head. Forever grateful if you can help a girl out :)

Hello, From time to time I see that my avatar gets kind of deformed like on this pic: https://gyazo.com/b11880bcb58645b7e0b6b4233d156223 Relogging helps but after I teleport to another place it sometimes comes back (sometimes not - I know, it's weird). I use Maitreya Body and Catwa Head I wonder why it happens and if there is any solution to this.

  24. Hellow everyone!, I am starting in the bender design and I am currently finishing a rigged model for the NAM Chibi body. To my perception the weight of the skin is acceptable, the base body was provided by the creator and the gray model created by me. i was exported the gray model as collada.dae, and when trying to upload it as a model to SL. I can not include the weight of the skin I have no idea how to solve this error, could someone help me? thank you very much for your attention.!
  25. Hola a todos!. Me estoy iniciando en el diseño en bender y actualmente termine un modelo riggeado para el cuerpo NAM Chibi. A mi percepción el peso de la piel esta perfecto, el cuerpo base fue proporcionado por el creador y el modelo gris creado por mi. Eh Exportado el modelo gris como collada.dae, y al momento de intentar subirlo como modelo a SL. no puedo incluir el peso de la piel No tengo idea como resolver este error, No tengo idea si tiene que ver con las dimenciones del modelo en Blender o en la forma en que debo exportarlo, alguien podria ayudarme? muchas gracias por su atencion
