  1. What is your LOD (level of detail) set on? If it's at 2, try raising it to 4. That may take care of the problem.
  2. There is a free developer kit. Just fair warning about moving the scripts from the prim they are in. The script is location sensitive..ie, what layer is applied is dependent on where on the hud you click. Soooo, usually best to use the provided prim unless you know exactly what you're doing and test to be sure what you are making goes where it's supposed to.
  3. Very few mesh bodies are mod, mainly because of the scripting involved to get the layers to work properly. If they were mod, that could very easily be broken. You can change what's on the different layers with appliers, ie skin/tat/underwear/clothing, as well as get designer kits and make mesh clothing. Mesh bodies/heads are like onion. You have the main body, then the layers are, for the most part, just a slightly larger size of the main body. So 4 layers for the body and many more for the static heads that have expressions. Bento should help cut down on the number of layers since facial expressions can be done with animations rather than a layer with a different expression on it.
  4. In Firestorm, you go to World/Photo and video then choose photo tools. You do have to have your enable windlight/Atmospheric settings on. The Depth of Field is a function of Windlight and is for taking pictures, not just wandering around since only the person/thing you are focused on will be in focus and everything around it will be out of focus.
  5. If you want something beyond what's offered as a starter avi, you'll have to purchase it. I think there are some werewolf avis in the starter avis but that's about it. Best bet is to search the Marketplace to find what you want then demo and see if it's what you want.
  6. Check out Humanoid, MyAnimation, and Akeyo
  7. First, be sure that you have the alpha on for your default body, That's probably what you're seeing showing through. The other problem is, you need an applier for the skin for your mesh body. A system skin can't be worn on a mesh body. The body you've chosen isn't Omega compatible so you'll have to find skins made specifically for that body, probably from the body maker. Good luck.
  8. An addendum to the Tonic. I have both Tonic, Maitreya, Belleza and both Slink. I've found that many of the Maitreya clothes fit the Tonic just fine. It also has the benefit of having all 3 heights in the feet, one hand. It also currently has the beta Bento rigged hands for free for Tonic owners. Again...demo, demo, demo. Get your body demos then demos of some of the clothes you're interested in and try them on. All are Omega friendly. You have to get the kit for Maitreya/Belleza/Slink. Tonic is ready out of the box. As for the neck seam...First be sure that the body neck is set for the body fat you have on the default avi. Next, be sure you have the applier and skin from the same maker. Third, if you have advanced lighting on, you get a shadow from your chin that shows on your neck and makes the difference in rendering more obvious.
  9. I have the Catwa Bento and one of the AK Bentos. I've use them with both Slink, Belleza Isis, both Tonic, as well as Maitreya. Check your body fat, it should be checked and the body set with that same body fat. That's what I've done and have no problems. I've also used the static Catwa and LOGO...same thing.
  10. First, what area are you looking for the Plumtree in? I just looked on the page for homes and you can see the listings for all the homes that are potentially available in the various sections. I don't see Plumtree listed as an available home as a Linden Home.
  11. OK...just double checked with the Caspervend group. Trye Caspervend gift cards will NOT ask for debit permissions. What you have there is one of the many spoofed and fake gift cards that are being given out with the name of a reputable creator on them. It's a plague going around SL right now. There are many stores that have messages when you land not to accept gift cards from people as the store doesn't give out gift cards like that. Delete it as it's a scam to get your Lindens. Edited to add, you may get a message like that if you try to purchase something and you don't have a high enough balance to cover the purchase. In that case, I, personally, would go to the top off terminal that should be in the store and add the lindens to cover the purtchase there then go and purchase the item.
  12. First, be sure you have the most recent graphics drivers for your graphics card. Next, check your LOD factor. You may have to bump it up to 4.
  13. Also, if you are using Omega appliers, you will need to have the Omega Maitryea kit and wear the relay every time you want to use an Omega applier.
  14. I have Maitreya, Belleza, both Slink, both Tonic, GInc and uLukie. They each have their plusses and minusses. Depends on what I want to do and wear and the look I want. You might want to check out the Tonic, btw. Most of the Maitreya fit clothes fit the Tonic nicely and the Tonic is Omega compatible out of the box....oh...Fizz beat the other bodies by being the first to offer her body users an upgrade to Bento rigged hands.
  15. If it's any help, Bright Corp has a program you can put in a box that you box stuff up in and wear the box to get out an item you've put in it. The only limitation is the stuff has to be copiable so you can just delete that box since you still have a copy in your inventory. The program is free.
  16. Be sure you are clicking in the right area. Many huds, like the Omega, are position sensitive so you have to click them in the right place for them to work.
  17. You wear the hud...it will attach to your screen. You'll be able to use it then. For clothes, hit Blueberry too. She has some jeans and leggings meant to wear under clothes...like her new Cake leggings and the Cupcake thigh high boots. She also has the pizza jeans that work with some boots from Reign. As for the hair...Check out Hairology. They have a lot of haif from different makers there. Demo them though so you can decide on the textures since they all have different texuting.
  18. Join some of the active chat fashion groups like Mesh Body Addicts, WoW Skins, 7Deadly Skins, etc. Talk in the groups. Some have events from time to time...Twisted Hunt, for instance, is an active group just for chatting and they have periodic parties. You have to put yourself out there some.
  19. Stop clearing your cache. It really doesn't help. Be sure you have the cache for your texture maxed out. Once upon a time, clearing you cache was the end all for "fixing" problems from LL. All it does is force your viewer to reload the links to your stuff, which will ultimately temporarily fix problems but it's not going to fix the long term problem of why it happened in the first place. As you've noticed, it takes a long time to redo those links, especially if you have a large inventory.
  20. Catwa, AK, Lelutka, Eve, GA, off the top of my head. Probably a few more on the way.
  21. Sansar isn't going to be like IMVU. I'd say it was more like the Paleoworld experience in SL or what Bryn Oh does on her Immersiva sim. If she does installations on Sansar, that would be just about my only reason to go there.
  22. Legacy, default, classic...they all refer to the same thing...the head your avatar comes with that you can use the edit appearance sliders to change.
  23. Go to your worn. It sounds like you are wearing a hud of some kind. If you don't see anything, then do an avatar test. That will clear off all attachments. Add the stuff you had on one item at a time to find out what was bombarding you. If that doesn't work, you can mute it.
  24. It depends on the look you want. Maitreya is good. You also have the Belleza Isis or Venus or the Slink Hourglass or Physique. An up and comer is the Tonic Curvy or Fine. The Fine is comparable to the Maitreya and is Omega compatible. It also has the 3 Slink compatible heights and has the Bento rigged hands in beta available for free. For clothes, Blueberry, Lapointe and Bastchild. Hit Collabor 88, anyBody and the Mesh Body Addicts fair starts in the next few days where you can look around and see what's available. Demo, demo, demo and find what YOU like. Hit Hairology for newer hair ideas. Hit Lumae to get their group gifts. The group is only 1L to join and gives you a place to start. As for a mesh head, I'd wait for now. There's enough of a learning curve with mesh bodies, Omega appliers, skins appliers and sizing right now. I'd join Mesh Body Addicts and the Omega Solutions support groups to get help. For anything and everything you'll see...demo, demo, demo. If the mesh clothing doesn't have a demo, pass on it and continue looking. You want to be sure the clothing fits the body of your choice. On the MP there is a free kit with the body slider settings for the standard sizes. I'd get that as well.
  25. I've always loved Madelaine's replies. Like the one that had the comic strip she did inworld. That was epic and funny.
