Maybe i should feel bad that when i first joined SL back in 2009 (left SL after a while and came back years later) i used to look around so i also went to furry lands and nobody ever dry humped my human avatars legs? Hahaha it's funny what kind of excuses people figure out to appear "logical".

Seriously now, nobody ever banned me or even send me an IM regardless if it was a sandbox or gathering/chat place saying that my avatar was human so not fitting for their land and was ruining their "SL experience".

(I got a very good memory and remember one of those lands was a mostly german people, furry sim.)

yes most furries are respectful of others limits they are not just yiff crazy like some want to think because of the media evens in rl and online that people have seen and believe that all furries are sexual pervs with only one thought on their mind.

oh by the way @Nick0678 wanna Yiff!!!! :P

furries are some of the most tolerant and respectable people in sl and in rl. they dont judge each other nearly as harshly as hoomans do..

@Dakota Linden Any chance we could see those or something as equally non-human like them come back?

I do wish we had more non-humans about these days. It would be more interesting. Plus... the quality non-human mesh bodies (like Regalia) are a lot less laggy... 😛

I'm hoping they do a Linden Home theme that is some extreme genre that encourages a whole lot of people to get 'themed avatars' and make something different popular. But I don't expect it because those places are designed to cater to as many preferences as possible.

Hi!

I honestly haven't a clue which team is responsible for the default avatars that are offered in the viewer. 😄

All I know is that they were "created by a Linden", which doesn't help LOL

You might try submitting a Jira Ticket asking for an update to the avatars and providing a suggestion.  Perhaps the ticket will get routed to the correct team and they will then have your request in the system.

I love to see non-human avatars too. I'm an elf most of the time, though the pointed ears are subtle and often hidden by my hair so mostly, people don't even notice. But sometimes I'm in the mood to be a furry, or a demon, or something else entirely, and I've never been excluded from a place or been asked to change to something "more realistic".

I can understand the reason to have only human avatars in a RP area where humans are the only species in a particular world-setting - such as Jo Yardley's 1920s Berlin for example. Or in a sex sim that caters to humans attracted to other humans. But in a regular club or whatever, there's no need to exclude non-humans and in my experience most of them don't. I went to Skinny Dip Inn as a cat furry a few weeks back and the first thing the host said to me was "Cute avi".

I tend to avoid furry-specific clubs even when I'm a furry, because I find that their choice of music invariably sucks - perhaps due to the majority of them being 20-30 years younger than I am.

well its a little boring. feasibly you have the ability to be anything that pops into your brainmeats you choose human.

though I say be what you want. what bothers is me is most of the human avatars (a problem for both male and female) is that they are carbon copies. as if they've all been plucked from a bot that tries to make the most generic and blandly attractive person it can out of bits of other humans. never any flaws or defining marks in appearence like alot of people irl have (crooked nose, freckles [actual freckles not the 'lol I look so cute' kind], scars, eye bags, veins, ect) all wearing what happens to be trendy at the moment, most of them in maitreya with eerily similar shapes and THE hairstyle. you know the one. it can be a bit tiring to see the same thing over and over and if they didn't have nameplates I'd never be able to tell them apart.

its a "You do you" sorta thing to me but it makes me sad because sometimes I just want to see the unique looks people make and I barely find any.

despite my icon I'm not a furry, either. I kind of just gather parts from the market and piece together different avatars. bits and peices I like and think I can use for something. kind of just use what I happen to think looks best that day. I was told recently that no one else really does that and I might be a weirdo for it.

whatever soon I'll have so much mesh I can build an army. fight me.

Please everyone, don't dislike us because we are human. We all need to judge of course, but we should judge a person by their personalities. I came to SL roughly four months ago, and had no idea that prejudices exist on both sides. I'm actually shocked!!! I've experienced a bit of that because I'm an Escort, but that's my fantasy. Aren't we all here to be what we won't or can't be in RL???

Most sex club operators/owners would be suprised how many of their human visitors wouldn't say no to a fantasy creature, if given the opportunity. 😉

As someone who runs around as a Lamia/Naga with multiple arms sometimes, I can attest to that. I get hit on more often when I'm not human/elf.

Humans do have the best clothes.

I have a few decent outfits being a dragon. its more just hoomans have the most clothes.. because as furries not all of us think we need to wear clothes all the time. only when we need to be around prudish hoomans that get offended seeing the beauty of the naked body.

I totally understand this. I have a Demoness appearance that I only have 1 outfit for. I won't change it because I wan't it to be consistent. A very good furry friend always wears the same thing, and I suspect it's for the same reason. I'll ask her when I'm inworld later on today, but still, that would only be one person's opinion. I DO change outfits a lot, but that's because I have to appeal to all kinds of tastes. I won't change my face or body though. Any hairstyle also has to work within the limits of my long blonds hair. My point is that we all seem to choose a particular "look," and work within that, whether human or not. Alts are a way around that for some. As for prudishness, it makes me sick to my stomach!!!

As an escort you fit the needs of your clients this is understandable. But there are limits on how far that goes. Just because someone is a client doesn't mean they get to dictate all of your looks. Some people here in sl.. like to think it does..

My few outfits or looks are more for my Master to decide what he thinks is right for the situation or place. Only he really gets to decide that for me. If he wants me clothed a certain way or without clothes at all for that time being or if he decides to let me choose. Most of the time that means very little to no clothes on at all.

It would be impossible for my clients dictate all of my looks. They like different things, and they fall into groups of what they like to see me in. That would be very poor marketing on my part to stay totally with one outfit look. I maintain my basic appearance, because i want to be recognized quickly and consistently. Of course when I'm paid, I'll look like anything they want, but I've never been asked to change (other than getting naked). I'm a fashionista, so I like to show off my outfits, and I've been randomly paid by guys just for asking their opinions on my different clothes with no sex involved. I never ask for money for a fashion show, because they're helping me.

No one would get very far with telling me to permanently stay with a look. They would be immediately blocked!!!
