I like the Coral Bay location better. The Bermuda build is a non-issue. Derender the stuff at that location. If you went with the other, you could just as easily end up with a new neighbor next door that does the same thing. If you don't want to derender it, you could always add some sea plants/trees that grow up a bit above the dock to help hide it. At Coral Bay, if the boat exiting gets to be too much of a pain, add some of your own docking and move the boat itself over towards that sand stuff. ETA: I changed my mind. I actually went and stood on both upper decks and looked around at what I'd see if I was just relaxing out there. At Fishtown, though you have some close houseboats from the side view, your straight out view is fabulous there. So a terrific view via the front downstairs windows, the upper deck and the upper room. Whereas at Coral Bay, your only long distance clear view is looking out the side windows or from the side of that upper deck.

I'm skipping the resolutions this year and just going about my life as usual -- rather than waiting a few weeks/months and then admitting that I'm not going to follow through on my resolutions.

I spotted this fabulous decorating while out exploring near my new home -- super cute IMO.

I'm guessing that is Ebb Tide - which is where the winner of the OOAK Linden Home auction is living.

Sometimes I TP someplace and all of the items don't want to rez, no matter how long I wait. I can tell that things are missing because it will be something like walls or I'll see price tags that are floating in the air not attached to anything - stuff like that. Usually, all I have to do is TP away & back and everything fully rezzes in. Today, I was out wandering Bellisseria and saw this. I TPd away & back 3 times and also TPd to the edge of each of those lots, but I still couldn't ever get anything more of those 2 homes to rez. Everything else around there, best I can tell, is fully rezzed. The few times this has happened in the past, I'll bring an alt on to see if things rez for them. Most of the time, the alt will see everything and I'll actually have to relog to clear things up -- which was also the case this time. This is what I saw after the relog: I really wish I knew what causes it, because it is super frustrating.

I'm actually debating on whether or not to keep this home. It is not quite as secluded as my other one, which I do really like, but it does have some nice views, water on 2 sides, and a cute set of steps leading up to it. Decisions, decisions.... I think I'll ponder this one for a while. The reddish one in the middle:

I realized today that my mood this holiday season is a bit more "meh" that I had originally thought. I never did do an SL Christmas card/photo this year and I can't gather enough interest to do one for the New Year either. Oh well...

As mentioned, your Linden Home Covenant prevents you from renting it. If you don't want it, just Abandon it.

That is actually an issue that has happened to other people with various models of the different homes/campers/etc... You can try a reset of the main house rezzer first -- click the mailbox and hold for 3 seconds. Then rez a different model of house and wait a good 30-60 seconds after it looks like it is fully rezzed. Then try rezzing the Winchester again. Create a Support Ticket: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ One other thing - even if you can't get in the doors right now, you can still get into the house. Cam into the house and rez a box, and then sit on the box, which will put you inside. Then stand and create an LM from inside - or set home there. That will give you an easy way to be inside even if you cannot currently go through the doors. You can decorate and even if LL has to rerez multiple houses to get it fixed, all your stuff will still be right where you put it.

I have the option checked so folks can't see me on the parcel if they are outside it. The main reason is because there are times when I don't want people seeing me and I am really bad about remembering to turn things on & off. However, if I see a green dot on a nearby parcel, whether or not I can actually see the person via the camera, I will still sometimes IM them and noting that if it is not a good time they can feel free to ignore the IM until whenever (if) they want to respond.

Nope - got assigned one in Gentle Grove, next to the canal / river. I don't think I've ever been to that area before.

Changed my mind while bored at work before my half day of vacation kicks in. So I did a check on the Land page and a Traditional popped up. I do still periodically check on those, just to see if I can get something a bit more secluded that what I already have. The one I got assigned looks like it just **might** be, but I'll have to wait until I'm home to log in and check for sure. Based on the other times I've done this, it will not be better than my current somewhat secluded spot though.

If the page looked like this, then the Camper/Trailers were also available, but you have to click the picture of the Camper: You don't get any choice about "where" the home is. You pick the Theme/Style by clicking the appropriate picture - in "2. Select a House". You then get assigned a random location. For some odd reason, the Houseboats almost always land me in the water and I have to go up to the land/houseboat. There should be a life preserver at the edge of your property. Clicking that lets you choose which model of houseboat you want to use. If nothing rezzes, try clicking and holding for 3 seconds to do a reset. If that doesn't work, then you will need Support help. We don't seem to get emails at all about our Linden Homes, however you can always go back to your Dashboard, click on the "Get your home now" button and rather than showing you what is available to select, it will provide a 'Got to your home' button that will get you to your parcel. Take a landmark and/or set home there and that will help for the future.

All of my alts were created long ago to donate tier to my Mainland group. It was cheaper to pay for another Premium, offset by the L$ weekly stipend, and have that Premium donate their tier for larger plots of land rather than having one account pay for additional tier every month. With the Premium fee increase, that is not necessarily true anymore. When Bellisseria came about and I decided that I like the homes there, I reduced my Mainland holdings so that some of the other accounts could apply their tier to a Linden Home instead. I actually don't do a lot of house hunting / jumping. I still own the Traditional that I got on the first day that any Bellisseria homes were released. I still own the Houseboat that I got on the first day that the original Squishy Pickle was released. My trailer isn't my original, but that is more because I wasn't sure if I wanted one. I got one, played with it for a few days, and then let it got. A few weeks later I decided to give the trailer another chance and so I nabbed one again. I did go through a few locations that day, but not many and haven't moved locations since then. I have grabbed a few Vics over the time since they were released, but I'm just not "feeling" them, so even after checking out a few different locations, I stopped even trying for one of those.

Oooohhhhh - I want. Did the smoke (for the mouth) come with it or is that a separate effect item?

Many years ago I lived in a location where there actually were a couple of neighbors that were online when I was and we would sometimes chit chat. At my currently Mainland location, I've talked to one neighbor a couple of times, but she isn't usually around when I'm at that location. I don't think I've ever even seen a neighbor at any of my current Linden Homes, so definitely no conversations there.

Bellisseria is the new continent that contains the new Linden Homes. The add-ons are things that other people have been creating and selling (some give-aways) - things that can be added to the inside or outside of your home, to add an additional room(s) or to divide inside rooms, etc.. While premium is more expensive than before, it is currently on a 10% discount until Jan 2. Everything in the pic below that is not X'd out is part of the new Bellisseria continent. Pull up Striker on the inworld map and then scroll out. Pick a place to TP to and start exploring. Also, there are currently 4 themes of homes in Bellisseria: Traditional Houses, Houseboats, Campers & Trailers, Victorian Homes. There are at least 4 more themes coming. Currently the Traditional and Victorian homes are sold out and folks are only picking up ones that have been abandoned. More Traditionals will be coming after the new year, but we don't know about more Victorians. One more thing -- you can join a group called 'Bellisseria Citizens' and then check their notices. They give out a notecard contains lots of places in Bellisseria that are designated as Open Houses so you can wander through looking around.

@kali Wylder - My deepest sympathies. I can't imagine that anyone can say anything to make this any easier on you. Just know that the folks in this thread will listen and do care.

You and Elora were telling me how much you wanted to see it because the cast is fabulous. Did you go see it yet or are you now skipping it due to the reviews? I won't put out money to go see it with those reviews. I'll wait until I can stream it or download it for free.

We don't create our Linden Homes, so when you say you are trying to 'create' one, are you talking about trying to claim one from your Account Land page or trying to rez one of the models on your assigned property? If it is the rezzing of the home, click and hold the rezzer (mailbox, life preserver, trailer sign) for three seconds.
