  1. Very odd - I just picked up a Trad in Mercy Hill, which doesn't appear to actually be fully ready for release. It still has the red square over it, the green parcel marker on the ground, and the red text parcel identifier.
  2. Tornadoes have been know to roll through an area and only uproot a single tree. Must be the Mole magic that keeps it floating rather than it falling over.
  3. I haven't seen any Victorians for quite a few hours now, so I'm guessing the slow release of them has finally been exhausted and thus no more until LL releases some more regions after the new year. Still no issues getting any of the other 3 styles though.
  4. Hate to sound like some sort of forum monitor or snob here, but folks are not really supposed to be advertising their own creations all the time in the forums.
  5. I am still blown away that for the first time since the original release in April, we still have a surplus of all 4 styles available to pick from. Being on vacation currently, I don't have the time to play house-swap. If there is still a surplus after I get home this weekend, I may see what I can land.
  6. The land page is still showing me all 4 styles. Trads, Houseboats, Campers and Victorians.
  7. There are currently still some available, as of right now. Go for it. You MUST Abandon and then go to your land page to get a new one. Just click Bellisseria for the Theme and then click Victorian.
  8. I was actually quite surprised that they weren't already considered against the covenant since so many of the colors people are choosing are most definitely what I'd consider as 'out of theme' for the neighborhoods. Then again, I never really thought that a glowing pink tree was "in theme" either, so what do I know.
  9. Happy Holidays & Happy New Year to all of you. As a few have mentioned, you have given me a renewed interest in SL and I thank you with all my heart. Enjoy your well earned break.
  10. That is likely the crux of my problem -- I'm not wild about pizza and absolutely detest beer.
  11. Wow, 19-20 hours after my previous post, which was 8 or more hours after the actual release, and my land page is still showing me Trads, Campers and Victorians. Well done @Patch Linden and all Moles.
  12. I don't think they've hit saturation yet. There actually seem to be plenty that like the Victorians - I'm just more partial to my Traditional. I also think there are still plenty of folks that are waiting to see what the next themes will be. And ultimately, all those folks still hanging on to the older Linden Homes will have to give them up - and I imagine that most of them will come to the new ones. Very likely some of the current hold-out batch is still waiting to see what other themes come up. There are plenty of people that rent places where they cannot actually edit the house, so that part isn't a real problem to some people. The biggest advantage, IMO anyway, to the Linden Home, which does help offset the fact that you cannot edit the house, is that it does not count against your LI and so you end up with the full amount of 512/1024 LI to use for your own furnishings and landscaping. And the old Linden Homes also could not be edited, yet many flocked to them when they first came out. Over time, some get tired of the restrictions and move on to other less restrictive pastures - Patch even commented that LL actually expects many folks to do just that. Yet, even after all these years, there are actually still quite a few of the older Linden Homes occupied, and (based on forum posts) quite a few are from oldies, not just newer folks. Many of the folks that have gotten one or more Linden Homes have also kept their mainland, so I can see other folks keeping their current rentals as well. Ultimately, I'm not sure what the overall impact on rentals will be. I can easily see some eventually losing interest in the Linden Homes - maybe not until after they have sampled every type - and then returning to either a rental somewhere or buying their own land.
  13. After logging in really late in the evening to check the forums and then seeing that they had done a large release, I popped over to my land page and there are still Victorians available - 8 hours now since the release. The land page is even showing me Trads and Houseboats. I went ahead and grabbed a Victorian, but mostly just wanting the content pack. I'm not sure whether I'll keep it or not, regardless of what the location looks like. I did see Patch's post from a few hours ago about abandoning though, so I'll go ahead an hold it until sometime tomorrow.
  14. This is the exact reason that a mesh body creator gave me for not allowing fly on their land. She asked me how I was managing to fly when they have it turned off. Apparently she didn't know about the override setting.
  15. I use the Firestorm option of 'always fly after teleport' so that I can immediately fly away from the landing point. I also use the Fly Override setting so that I can always fly if I want. However, most of the time, after flying away from the TP spot to someplace somewhat out of the way of others, I then cam shop. I almost always stay in fly/hover mode, but if I'm at a location that is somewhat ***** about their no fly rules, then I'll make sure I'm hovering very close to the ground, Since I cam shop, most store owners and CSRs don't notice that I'm technically still flying. There are actually a few places that I've gone to that detect if you are flying and they will TP you out. Those ones go on my list of places to never go back to.
  16. Saddened. I had been wondering why I hadn't heard from him lately. The last time I talked to him, he was not doing well. Thanks for letting us know.
  17. The blog post is definitely not your specific info. Go to your Account page: https://secondlife.com/my/account The top section shows the date that you will next be bill for your Premium membership On the left, click Premium Membership and then scroll down. Under the Annual Membership section, it should show the same renewal date that you saw on your account page and then next to the $89 renewal option, it should show a date one year from that first date. For me, my current renewal will be March 25, 2021. If I choose to early renew, then I'll pay $89 now and they will not bill me again until March 25, 2022 -- one year farther out than the current renewal date.
  18. Honestly, the typical USA person is at work during many LL events of this type -- things like their annual Halloween Crawl, the annual Snowball Fight and the various inworld LL meetings. This one is actually the exception with it occurring towards the end of the LL day, though for many of us in the US that are not in LL timezone, it meant dinner time.
  19. I'm going to start referring to it as something slightly different each time I mention it.......... just because
  20. Finished decorating the trailer for the holidays.
  21. Today's pet peeve: Searching the MP, only to find one particular merchant has used the same huge batch of spam keywords on every one of their products so that it fills up multiple pages of my search results yet do not come anywhere near actually matching what I am searching for. That one ticked me off enough that I spent a full half hour flagging items. I probably could have continued flagging for another two hours without running out of items. I wish I could just flag the store, with a comment that explains the problem.
  22. Do you ALWAYS fully type out United States of America or sometimes shorten it to USA or US? Ditto for the various states? People shorten things all the time for all sorts of reasons, trying to find abbreviations that simplify the typing/writing/talking. Many things invariably get nicknames, usually just because many folks find nicknames fun, some of which we might go along with and some that we don't. Sometimes, it is not even about any "extreme extra effort" to type or say something, but simply "just because". I have my times where I'll type something out in full and my times where I shorten things down - and sometimes even use nicknames because either I think they are cute or because that just happens to be the name that most people know something by. I sure as heck am not going to say that anyone else is wrong or bad in any way for choosing to use an abbreviation or nickname.
