  1. I'm out flying around tonight and I run into this spinning over someone's houseboat: I report that and continue flying. A bit later, I run into this snowstorm - with an actual huge storm cloud around the 40m height - also promptly reported:
  2. They keep giving us that old "it's in the mail" routine. I WANT MY PONY ! ! ! !
  3. The last two times this thread has popped up on my feed, I have read it as: happy premium MEMBER with emphasis on that last word.............. because it's SL, after all
  4. Rather than hit the "Quote" "button", you have to drag-select the run of quotes in the post and wait for the "Quote Selection" popup. Click that and you'll see the entire run pasted into your post. I'll be darned - I never knew you could use the highlight 'quote selection' process for an entire set of embedded quotes. You can doing it using the Quote button, but it takes much more work. Quote the last / outer one (or use highlight / 'quote selection'). Place your cursor in front of the first word inside the quote box and press enter. Move you cursor up to the empty line and then hit the quote button for the inner quote (or again use highlight / 'quote selection'). Rinse repeat for more inner quotes. Usually, if you type something into the response box and then change pages without submitting it, it will still be there when you click into the response box again. That is how I get the inner quotes from previous pages. Every now and then, the response box does not play nice when you change pages though, which messes my whole process up.
  5. No. Patch has said that "themes 5 and 6 are well underway", but no comments on possible release time frame - at least none that I remember.
  6. Onion ring batter is typically flour, milk, and oil - but it also almost always has an egg mixed in. I think the egg is used to get the batter to stick to the onion, though there is likely a way to make it work without the egg. ETA: However, I doubt that most of the fast food places are using a vegan batter.
  7. Because onion ring batter is totally vegetarian/vegan.
  8. And maybe time to make another baby...... though for many, that will take less time that feeding one does.
  9. Did you watch that video? They were all over that crown. Better check yours carefully each time you put it on.
  10. I need a "RL Pet Peeve" thread, so that I have somewhere to come whine about all the things that people do that drive me crazy
  11. and we all know "alts" are dangerous! 🤩 I know mine are. You should just see what they do to my L$ balance - even with the tiny amount of inworld time and shopping that they get.
  12. I knew I had seen that noted somewhere I do have a post saved, from one of the Lindens, that specifically says politics should not be discussed here.
  13. Ooops, sorry! I have never actually watched the video, just listened to the song, so I did not know about the spiders!!! I usually don't watch her videos, as they are bit extreme for me, lol. I do love her music, though. No worries - I was exaggerating a tad on the "for hours" part.
  14. There are actually quite a few fully & partially furnished skyboxes on the MP for free or super cheap. If using sandboxes for rezzing, he just needs to be aware of the auto-return time set.
  15. Very likely an alt account. There is this in his profile Groups list:
  16. I'm at work, so I can't get to Flickr right now -- are there truly no mousy ears there? I don't think I noticed at the time it was posted. Oh well... back to the topic (though this is most definitely not the first derail in this thread and definitely won't be the last).
  17. Eeeewwwwww, spiders on the body. /me will have the heebie-jeebies for hours now.
  18. I'll try this next time I experience the issue. My issues are not like the OP though -- with items going invisible and then coming back in view and then going invisible again. Over the past many months (maybe a year), I often land in places where things simply do not rez, no matter how long I sit there waiting -- things like walls or items that I know should be there because I see the price tag floating in the air, etc.... Usually, though not always, a TP away and back will make everything show. I have started experiencing the no-rez thing a lot more lately - even at my house over the last few days - so I've started playing around with various settings to see if anything other than a TP will fix things. It also seems like the longer I am logged in for a session, the more it happens.
  19. I have sort of thought of this sub-forum as the OT forum, but looking at the description, it does say "Second Life discussions welcome here.' (emphasis mine) Perhaps we need an OT forum? I guess it is ultimately all up to LL, either let this be a de facto OT forum, or whatever. Even though the forum description specifically says 'Second Life', one of the mods did post a comment about non-SL general discussions being okay here. I have the post saved at home, so I can add it to this later today.
  20. Even though he was hoping someone would donate a mesh body to him in early Dec, he apparently acquired a Gianni body by late Dec. However, it is entirely possible that someone gifted that body to him -- my Maitreya was gifted to me shortly after I returned to regular SL usage in early 2017 - and I have paid that forward a couple of times. So we can't really assume that he bought the body. As to the baby, I can't wrap my head around someone gifting them with that, so somebody must have spent some money to get it - not to mention the money required for the care of said baby.
  21. If there are no mouse ears, then I highly doubt it is Patch. I don't think he ever goes around without those ears.
  22. Hopefully never. If it were possible, the system would be gamed no matter what. Unscrupulous person A keeps going through homes until they find something that many consider desirable. Under the table they offer to exchange it to someone that wants it, for a "finders fee" of course. They then abandon the one the exchanged for, that is maybe not as desirable, and start hopping through homes again until they get another one that is desirable by many. Once again they do an exchange with an under the counter finders fee involved. Rinse, repeat. There are many people that would pay said finders fee, all very quietly and hush-hush, in order to get their dreamland plot.
  23. Oh my - I might have to free up an account or bump another one up on the super duper off chance that I could nab one of those. It looks like there could be some similar plots scattered throughout that mountain range.
  24. Yep, that sounds like a good description of the plot. It is the only Trad that I've picked up since April 15th that I have held for more than 15 min. I do like it a lot, but i also like the other. Eventually, after popping between them multiple times, I'll make a decision.
