  1. Honestly, this morning is blissful. I slept late -- really late, 9:00 -- and now I'm just drinking my coffee and reading the forums. There is nobody waiting for me to get into the family room so that I can pretend to be excited while everyone opens gifts............ and that is totally awesome.
  2. Since we are home this year, with no kids here, I'm heading out to a Christmas Eve dinner with my husband. Personally, the only thing I ever really liked about the holidays is the food - even if it is just a great meal at a nice restaurant. In many ways, it is easier when the kids aren't home - I don't have to pretend to like Christmas and be happy and such.
  3. Townhomes, as I knew them, are a row of attached homes such that the owners share a wall between their individual homes, like the ones pictured below. I honestly can't see LL ever building a set of homes that are attached like that. I also can't see a ton of people wanting to live that close to their neighbor.
  4. Are you on the Recent tab and possibly all of the items in the Received folder are older than whatever your Filter time frame is? Try closing all inventory windows and then re-opening. If that doesn't clear it, close all inventory windows and relog.
  5. Eventually, LL will have enough homes built such that everyone can just go claim when without having to wait and try for days/weeks on end. However, just like the older Linden Homes, they will likely never have a surplus of every single theme. There will be times when certain themes are not available, but there is still availability of other themes.
  6. I've stopped on my houseboat and my camper. I do still periodically check on the Traditionals and Victorians.
  7. This ^^ I'm getting to where I mostly just skim right past any Flickr or Forum post where the person is sideways (unless it is a true laying down shot) or mostly sideways, or even slightly tilted if they do it to pretty much every one of their pictures. A tilt on a photo every now and then can look nice, but it is just so overused.
  8. It is a work holiday for me and my husband went to the office, so I'm at home alone. My husband and I both work from home a lot and as such, he is often working from home the same days that I do. Therefore, I don't really get much alone time anymore and I'm one of those introvert types that desperately needs alone time. So, since I did not work yesterday and my husband was at the office, I've now had 2 days at home alone during the day. Thus I am actually feeling fairly decent and not stressed or feeling like I want to crawl into a hole and hide.
  9. This is a biggie. In the old Linden Homes, if you wanted a different style of home within a given theme, you had to abandon and then go pick the new style - and hope that you then liked the new location also. Being able to stay in one spot and just rez any of the styles within a particular theme is a much, much appreciated improvement over the old way.
  10. Go to the top of the forum page - the main forum page or any sub-forum (not within a thread) and then look on the right side of the page, beside the thread list.
  11. Most people simply show their items in relation to an entire room or house. Your photos often are of just the items that you made, sometimes showing the different colors it will be available in, and usually with comments about things like number of animations and such. And the exact same photo with the same comments is often posted to more than one thread. To me, it just sounds like an ad, so I commented such.
  12. The same wishful (complaint) comment in multiple threads is not going to make it happen.
  13. Here is the response I gave to your question about this in the other thread: The biggest reason is that the Victorians take up more land space, so it is highly unlikely that you could rez one on your land on not end up with a nearby tree poking into your house. That is why LL uses those monopoly looking pieces when they are landscaping -- those pieces encompass the complete size of all houses for a specific theme that could be rezzed on a plot. Additionally, per Patch, the Victorian homes are truly a different theme than the Traditionals and would look out of place mixed in with the Traditionals.
  14. They won't. The biggest reason is that the Victorians take up more land space, so it is highly unlikely that you could rez one on your land on not end up with a nearby tree poking into your house. That is why LL uses those monopoly looking pieces when they are landscaping -- those pieces encompass the complete size of all houses for a specific theme that could be rezzed on a plot.
  15. I'm about 15 or so pages behind in this thread due to vacation and I just don't have it in me to go back through them. So please don't be offended that I skipped liking any pictures for all those previous pages.
  16. Maybe, once upon a time. Most of the time now though, I just want to make it through the day. Like Seicher, I've had some really bad experiences with being truly open about some personal stuff. Combine that with me being raised in an atmosphere of 'never complain about your own stuff'. Thus, for the most part, I've just found it easier on myself if I just don't. I can mention a positive now & then, I can whine about misc work or home stuff, but just can't make myself really talk about the negative personal stuff. When I was a child, no matter how small of a bowl of other cereals that I prepared, it just always seemed to get soggy way too fast - much faster than I could eat it. Once time, when my mom was extra frustrated with finances, she saw me get up from the table with soggy cereal still in the bowl that I was going to dump. She made me sit back down and finish eating it. I gagged with every spoonful and threw up twice finishing that bowl of cereal. I've not eaten anything but Grape Nuts since that day -- with just a tiny bit of milk and lots of sugar.
  17. I only have a couple of alts that I might have done a name change on, but not for $40 each. Overall the price will not be considered too high for some folks and for many others it will be considered outrageous. I'm not necessarily in the "outrageous" camp, but I do think it is too high for me, personally.
  18. Good to know that the region just wasn't fully cleaned up rather than something not ready for release accidentally getting into the release region pool.
  19. Yeah, I think I'll not try for any Trads for a while - just wait and see what's up with that area. I don't actually see any locations around there that I'm super excited about anyway.
  20. Given that it is pretty much surrounded by other regions with red and yellow markers, I'm still wondering if it got into the release pool by mistake. Live Chat person is escalating the issue since a region restart did not change anything. I went ahead and abandoned the one I had there -- wasn't going to keep it due to location anyway.
  21. I checked that green parcel marker the Moles use and that is what that single item is -- 67 LI. Live Chat said they are going to restart the region to see if that clears the pre-release objects. LOL - I TP'd to my other home she said she was gong to restart the region. I just checked the landmark info and she renamed it to "Still Kickin It" so I'd know it isn't ready yet.
  22. Yep - the parcel marker - amazing that one item is 67 LI. The owner for the object is @Abnor Mole I think the Live Chat is acting wonky for me today. I put in a comment about the land and it has been 5 minutes with no response - and I've never had it take that long.
