  1. Based on the location, it might contain more Victorian homes
  2. I've seen it inworld a lot, just never on the MP before.
  3. If it is still in the "downgrading" status, you can open a ticket and have them stop the cancellation.
  4. You have a last name, which means that you have been here since at least early 2009 -- and you are just now noticing this. LL is not going to ban politics. Not to mention that typically when someone wants something banned - like politics - what they really want is a ban of any political stuff that they do not agree with. Yeah, folks from all sides of politics are guilty of that.
  5. I didn't know anybody sold limited number items that were not Gachas. Interesting.
  6. Wow - That must be Mainland stuff that you are seeing??? What is your draw distance? I'd be willing to bet that the roof of that thing is over the 15m high limit, so AR it if that is the case.
  7. I'm guessing that there is a separate way of designating a Demo - like the listings that have "get the full version" under the price. The ones that I see showing up do not have that link so maybe they didn't click some sort of 'Demo' flag? I don't have an MP store, so not totally sure about that guess. After a bit of testing, that does appear to be the case. Is it an MP rule to flag Demos as such? If so, then items could be flagged - though flagging items is time consuming and doesn't always work well.
  8. It is ONLY 9:30 SLT - even if they are going to do a release, it is not uncommon for it to not have happened yet.
  9. I watched the American version of that a few times.
  10. Yeah, that was all figured out and posted later that evening.
  11. You can "Follow" a blog so that you get notifications - here and/or email, based on your settings - whenever they add a new post. https://community.secondlife.com/blogs/ Go into the specific sub-section you want to monitor (categories on the left) and click Follow in the upper right of the blog: To define how you get notifications, click the arrow by your name at the very top of the Community pages, right side. Click Account Settings. On the new page, click Notification Settings under Other Settings.
  12. Just FYI, neither you nor us can delete posts. We can modify them in the first 24 hours. Only LL can delete. You could report this thread and ask LL to delete it, telling them that it is a duplicate. They might, they might not.
  13. IMO, this is 100% spot on. Maybe an existing account holder creating a new alt that they specifically want to have a last name for some reason. However, a totally new person just isn't going to hand over $50+ at signup.
  14. Finding someone to swap with is often quite difficult - everyone has very different views on what various parcels are worth. It is often easier to just sell what you have and buy what you want. However, you can try posting a thread requesting a swap in the forum noted below. You'll need to include a SLURL to your current Mainland so that folks can look at it to decide. https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/292-wanted-mainland/ As Mollymews mentioned, nobody can swap you a Linden Home. You can only get one of those through your own dashboard.
  15. That was last June. They have made lots of progress and are actually close to releasing the Name Change functionality.
  16. Probably got left behind when they moved the sex pad that I just found at 200m
  17. When I get my new Camper spot, I'm putting this out as my contribution to sharing:
  18. It's no longer there, so I don't know if a Linden or Mole handled it or if the owner took care of it. There was a boat about that size that someone parked in front of their houseboat on Doran for a while. Obviously it stuck way out into the public area and made what was already a somewhat small sailing lane even smaller. I reported it - it disappeared and then re-appeared a few days later. I reported it again and then never saw it again. Typically, if you put back an item that LL returned to you, you then get in even worse trouble after it is reported a second time.
  19. A few ways: One is a full mesh model - folks that can create mesh well know how to create curves in it. Most of the folks that are doing this will actually make the mesh piece cover floor and walls, and maybe ceilings, of multiple rooms. That typically gives more bang for the buck as far as LI goes and then lets you customize many areas of the house. Another way is multiple prims to get the fit you need, though that way takes more work to get your patterns to match - and depending on the actual curve can be a major PITA to create. If you go this approach then when you link the pieces, if you set your root to Convex Hull you will typically end up using less LI than the total number of prims. Finally, there is sort of a combo of those two: Make the floor out of multiple prims to get the proper coverage and then use a Prim-to-Mesh generator to create a single mesh object from that with only a single face - that fixes the texture alignment issues. I did something like this in the upper room on the Barnacle houseboat - created a wall towards the back and then divided the back section into a bath and closet. Since the back of the Barnacle is curved, that was a true PITA because I am not a creator and had to mess around a lot to figure out how to get things to fit. This pic shows the wall I created and one of the curved sections. There is another curved wall inside that section so that I have two separate areas. I have no doubt that a true mesh person could have done it much faster and much better looking. The LI is only 4, which is basically the 2 doors and their rails -- so the wall itself doesn't count anymore.
  20. I was more referring to the folks that had kept one and played with it for many days/weeks/months, and then decided to abandon and try for a different spot that they liked - maybe a different theme even. The point was that you CAN do 6 abandons a day, but only 5 claims a day.
  21. I enjoyed wandering around your campsite, checking it out and grabbing a car to crash into things with. In all my SL years, the only time I ever lived anywhere with a security orb was when I moved in with a guy that had one. While I do tick the privacy box, I've never made any of my places inaccessible.
  22. We also have to remember that the goal is not to give everyone the exact style of home that they most prefer, but to ensure there are enough total homes for all Premium members that want one.
  23. There are lots of empty homes, even claimed empty ones. You could just start popping around the Bellisseria continent somewhat randomly and peeking in homes. Many of us do that to decorated homes to get ideas. In the picture below, the most southern section is Victorians. The Houseboat areas are pretty easy to figure out. In the main part of the Continent, the circled areas are the Campers/Trailers (there are a total of 8 models of those), and then all the rest is Traditional houses. Those grassy islands on the right might have some Campers also, but definitely have some Traditionals. If you watch the land page carefully, Traditionals and Victorians do get abandoned and show up to claim. The thread noted below talks about how to set up an auto-refresher to help you try getting a type of home that is currently scarce.
  24. Technically, if you already have one to begin with, you can abandon 6: Abandon, Claim #1, Abandon, Claim #2, Abandon, Claim #3, Abandon, Claim #4, Abandon, Claim #5, Abandon, Next claim attempt will be denied.
  25. I sent the creator a message - and then sent a modified message after Sylvia reminded me that the older homes might very well allow this. The creator responded very nicely. He has changed the description to state that it is "Not designed for newer Linden Homes" and he removed all other references to Linden House/Home.
