Bree Giffen replied to AugustVonHelson's topic in General Discussion Forum
I can't get into Firestorm either! Oh wait, I don't have it installed. Haha, I guess I avoided that problem. -

Creators - how much money do you make?
Bree Giffen replied to Galactikat's topic in General Discussion Forum
It's possible this person was bartering clothes and cosmetics with a sculptor making statues for them. Getting six figures a year from a sculptor seems pretty low actually. -
The G-Now free service kicks you off after an hour but allows you to go back in... I guess. There's a queue of some sort. The non-kicking premium service is $5 a month/ $60 for first year and then reverts to $10 a month/ $120 a year. If it works, might be worth it rather than buying a gaming laptop or new video card. It records your gameplay though, for playback. Might be a sticky point for SL.

No, not advertising for them. Just want to mention that Nvidia just launched GeForce Now, a game streaming service. It's free or you can subscribe for premium. Anyways, SL is not on the supported list but it can be suggested. Should we all go and suggest SL?

I'm not addicted to anything right now. I've been playing a mobile game constantly though. You just let it run in the background. I can "play" it when I'm in SL.

SL is only dead because he doesn't love you anymore.

I saw this while reading the news. Artificially making roads "jammed" with traffic using a bunch of phones! Genius. I know that some neighborhoods used to report fake accidents to stop Google from routing people through. I think Google figured out how to detect that.

Second Life's Alright For Fighting!
Bree Giffen replied to wolfshanty's topic in General Discussion Forum
Perhaps SL can reintroduce the tradition of dueling. There were many rules to be followed and was done to satisfy one's honor. There should high stakes such as the loser bring banned for a month. -
Does SL need a chat mobile app?
Bree Giffen replied to ManuelAngel2004's topic in General Discussion Forum
Also, LL is making a chat viewer. -
I was on Everquest and Everquest 2 before joining Second Life. It was the EQ2 instanced apartments that opened my eyes to the possibility of user-designed content and set me on the path to Second Life. I have played several other MMOs since then; Guild Wars, Tera, Dragon Nest, Vindictus, and many others that I've dabbled in.

If your avatar was in a band, what kind of music would they be playing? I think mine would be a female fronted rock band that played mostly pop songs.

Make Memberships more attractive to creators.
Bree Giffen replied to James Samiam's topic in General Discussion Forum
I think any premium incentive for creators would always be more beneficial if given to the wider base of free users. Creation of products is the tide that raises all boats. (Always wanted to say that) Upload fees are more of a maintenance cost than a profit generator. The profit I assume is from the sales fee. We don't want to handicap that. -
Yes, I click on the reaction buttons. Sometimes if I don't want to post I'll just like the post that I think is the best response.

How about making skin get tanned as we stay out in the digital sun and forming tan lines based on the clothing we wear? It would make some funny tanned skin when someone gets naked.

Why such "relaxing" music in a place that serves up caffeine and sugar? People want to wake up in a cafe! Speed metal would be more appropriate.

The instant pot is great! I've never made soups before but now I can make them easily. Actually still the same prep work but once in the pot you can just walk away. It speeds up the process quite a bit. I don't have counter space for an air fryer... Maybe if I replace the toaster oven.
