1. May 20 at 9:30-11 a.m. PT From here: 2. Being fully nude. Child avatar content creators are required to add a modesty layer which is baked into child avatar skins or bodies, is not transparent, does not match the skin tone, and may not be removed. Every laptop you've shown is actually good enough to play SL. The last one is better than the others.

That's why I hate Nvidia's numbering system. Anyways, the OP clarified it's a 4060. I can't say for certain but I have a Ryzen 7, RTX 3060 with 16gb and it is 22FPS in the London City sim at Ultra with about 30 avatars in camera view out of 60 total. It runs faster by lowering or turning off different graphic options. Edit: My laptop has a Ryzen cpu/gpu and 22 FPS is from running the Ryzen gpu + help from the 3060 gpu. Using only the 3060 gpu, I get 30 FPS. The OPs system seems to be a similar AMD/NVidia notebook so it may have two modes as well. As to getting a notebook or desktop, I think technology has moved far enough that notebooks with lower power chips and efficient cooling are good enough for gaming and a user doesn't have to feel they are making a huge sacrifice if they buy a notebook.

16gb is fine. It has an SSD drive so starting up SL should be fast. 15.6 inch screen is fine. I wouldn't get any screen size smaller. It is 4.85 lbs. Not great to carry but most gaming laptops are not. Very light gaming laptops are super expensive. The Newegg listing is an Intel cpu version and not the AMD cpu version you listed in your first post. The intel version has an RTX4050 gpu not a RTX4060 gpu. I don't think anyone would notice the difference in SL.

You'd want to consider things like what a L$ is worth in SL and in real life. Maybe try to find what photographers normally charge in SL and set your tip to a percentage of that.

Help dealing with a stalker/harasser
Bree Giffen replied to Alastor Jigsaw's topic in General Discussion Forum
You can't share convos on the forums. It wouldn't do any good here because we're not Lindens. We also can't verify anything we read. As Garnet said, block and ignore. Also, don't even converse with him. If they continue to harass you, collect those messages and send them to LL through the abuse reporting system. It's a lot easier for LL to see one-sided harassment than to figure out the details of a conversation. For your profile pick on him, state the basic facts and keep it drama free. LL might think your pick is provoking the other person. -
I have Avalon for myself but I also have Erin and Fleur for two alts. I feel kind of bad that a lot of people use Avalon but it is a good head. I use a fairly long process of elimination to pick my heads and if I ended up using Avalon then it was the best choice for my avatar. For the Erin head, I chose it for a younger avatar (Halloween girl) and Fleur was chosen for an Asian avatar.

I wish we had an AI that could help us with shopping. For example, if I am looking at a pair of shoes at a store I could ask the AI if I already have shoes similar to it. Then it would say "Yes Bree you have the exact same shoes in your inventory already". If I was at an event I could ask if there is anything being sold that I would be interested in and the AI would say, "Yes Bree there are two items in this event that you might want, a pair of shoes and a prim dog, they are located here and here." That's the kind of AI I would want. Not an AI that tells me the capital of Uruguay.

YS&YS has an in-world store and they have skins for different heads and bodies. If you want to stick with them, they have Lara BOM skins which should work on both Lara and LaraX bodies. They also have head skins for Lelutka and other head makers. As far as finding skins, I think we have a few threads in the past that have lists of current skin stores or go to seraphimSL and go to the shopping events which usually have several skin stores offering the latest products. The demos usually provide a store landmark to explore them in detail. These events are also a good place to find clothing stores too.

OMG. I was just thinking of this song this morning and I searched for it on youtube to put it up here. As I scrolled to the bottom of the thread... it was right there!

Easier for who, right?

One reason why a creator will have no-mod is because someone could break apart their product and use the prims to make an ersatz or dangerous product with their name baked into it. Scripted items are usually no-mod because it's all just text that can be copied forever. The ability to take apart something that is mod and recreating the object is another reason. Everything used to be made out of prims so copying from looking at mod items was a possibility. I would do this with freebie items when I was learning to build in sandboxes. As for animations, I'd say my choice of mod or no-mod was made purely out of child-like innocence.

A barter economy would be interesting to see at Burning Life or some other event. Vendors would have to give away limited quantities of no copy/transfer items. People would have to barter with items they were able to get. People might start offering payments to acquire items instead of bartering. It could get messy.

I've had a few neighbors who didn't seem to know how to build in higher altitudes. I usually rent a parcel on the mainland and whenever I have built a skybox a new neighbor will rent next door and build a skybox right next to mine. I think they are using my skybox as a place to rez and build their own home in the parcel next to me. This has happened a few times with different avatars of mine. Thankfully they are not online at the same time but it gets awkward when they are.
