You can't show a group of ten possible prizes and then reward people with one of those prizes chosen randomly. Which is what a gacha does. As long as people know what they get with their purchase then it should be fine.

They may be in a coalesced object located in some other inventory folder such as the objects folder. If they were linked for some reason they may appear as a single object with the name of the last object linked. Might also want to check the 'recent items' folder to see what new objects were recently added to the inventory folder. Drag these new objects out in a sandbox to see if they are the actual objects or something else.

I tried to search for this particular error as it relates to Invision forum software and I read that this happens when the server runs out storage space. Must be all those pics we post in that forum. It should cause all of us to have that problem though and have been able to access that forum just fine.

This is sad news. I just bought some summer clothes from there recently. I hope the owner all the best and thank her for keeping us clothed.

I don't know the specifics of what is happening but perhaps you can create a poison pill by uploading unattractive pictures of someone else to your profile and pass it off as yourself. Not wildly unattractive but just enough to make the stalker think it's no longer worth it. Another method would be to create a honeypot avatar that gets all of the attention from your stalker while you have a second true avatar that exists separately. Then keep both logged in at the same time. These suggestions may be extreme but it seems you have tried everything else.

What a great idea! An offline mode for SL. With mobile, I think this would be a nice way for people to enjoy SL in places where there is no internet connection. Maybe players could have a limited play area that is saved in a cache. As for the Sims 5, I think Linden Lab could experiment with an isometrically locked camera and UI to support a top down play style for SL. I guess this could be something a 3rd party viewer might try. To push it further, maybe an AR style of camera view where the SL world is locked to something in the real world like the floor or table and a mobile phone or tablet would be a free camera looking down on the virtual landscape.

I just downloaded it. Seems okay. It loads images fairly quick but I couldn't find a landmark to go to an event or where you get a demo of something in the HUD. Probably just need to play with it a bit more. It likely won't replace my normal visits to places. Teleports are easy to do. Might be good for events that I can't get into. 🤤

How about height discrimination? That's a physical characteristic and there is diversity of height in SL but short avatars are definitely excluded in venues.

The last avatar I updated is using Catwa HD Sasa. I made a thread about it before. She uses the original skin that was used for the system head and it looks good. The Catwa HD heads also have funny face animations.

But seriously, I haven't had too many problems with random IMs. Mostly people ask about something I am wearing. Everyone has a different experience in SL so people should be free to do things that bring them peace.

To match something you see in an ad you will need to have the right shape, skin, mesh head, and proper lighting.

I think you, you and your partner, should take a break from your main avatars and create some alts to have fun and reconnect by going to places you've never been before and simply enjoy second life without thinking about the stalker. You could try creating avatars with similar names if you want. Maybe even go shopping together and recreating yourselves. Just do things that won't identify you to the harasser. A stalker thrives on having your utmost attention and this is a way to break that cycle of dramatic behavior.

I know why this happened. The avatar saw you teleport in and immediately looked at your profile and copied it to their own. Ctrl-c and Ctrl-p. Easy to do. They then stood around near your to see if you would react to your profile copied to their profile. This is called trolling. They are doing or saying something to get a reaction that is entertaining to the troll. After you stop reacting they will change their profile back or leave it up until they can find another person with a profile they want to copy. In real life, trolling is normally done between people who know each other because the troll knows about their target and expects them to react predictably. However, on the internet and in SecondLife people will troll strangers but the outcome is often unpredictable and possibly not entertaining.

Any major currency changes in SL will have to be done gradually and monitored closely with the possibility of reversing the change. The SL user base might fall off a cliff in response to changes and may never return thus ending Second Life.

I've been getting notices on my computer to use the Microsoft Copilot AI. I haven't accepted to turn the thing on.

I never realized there was an outfits directory in the inventory folder tree. I just use the separate outfits toolbar button to access them. In my specific case, I think outfits are a good way to manage my clothing items. I don't have one avatar with a deep inventory but several with a smaller inventory. I can make outfits out of most of their clothing and manage everything easily. If we ever become cyborgs that can switch bodies I'd probably have multiple bodies living in different parts of the world.
