I think old threads should be locked and if a poster wants to refer back to it they can make a link to it. Shaming doesn't work because necro posts are made by new users and new users come in all the time. Giving users a choice on whether to necro post or not also doesn't work because new users simply don't know it's a bad choice to necro post. The warning that the post is old doesn't really mean much to a new user either. How do you control a situation where you are getting a stream of new people who will never know enough to not post on an old thread? You lock old threads.

You can use a sandbox to assemble your avatar. There are several Linden sandboxes like "Plum" where you can rez your objects. Looking at the TenFace products on the marketplace it looks like you need to rez all the pieces separately and then link them together. If yo don't know how to put together prims you can watch some youtube videos or go to a region where people will help you. It's not that difficult.

Are there any alternatives to bathing or showering? I had to bathe for about two weeks a long time ago using a cup and a 5 gallon bucket of cold water. I managed to go from using 5 gallons to only 2 gallons. I read that astronauts just wipe themselves down with a wet towel. When I was younger I thought about making a bag that you can climb into that was filled with soapy water and then it sucked all the air out so you would just move around inside the bag and get clean. Then it would fill with clean water a few times to rinse yourself off.

Since working from home, I take a shower every other day and usually in the morning. Southern California used to have a water shortage for a many years and everyone became conscious of their water usage.

I wonder about all the people who spend a lot but don't read the blog or this forum. This fee increase might come as a nasty surprise. I don't really buy lindens that often so I don't have much to object to. It's good to hear there is a real push happening to improve SL.

I'd search for places that say cherry blossoms or sakura viewing. Those places will have a lot of pink flowering trees. There was a Japan themed shopping event that was surrounded by pink trees and falling blossoms. I don't recall the name of it though. As for the lighting you can change it to whatever you want in EEP.

You do have to add Firestorm VR to Steam VR in order to run it.

My philosophy is to never mind the ad image and get the demo. A good looking demo is probably the best advertisement a store can have. I don't know why some creators make demos difficult to get to. Another thing is demos shouldn't have a timer and they should allow me to get a good look at how the product looks on myself. Some have these transparent textures that force you to move the camera because you can't get a good view of the item. Another thing, obscure ads. Sometimes I look at an add for several seconds and wonder what is being sold. Oh and one more, animated ads. I just see a big moving blob of pixels that takes forever to load.

It's amazing how close I can get to looking like myself.

One of the great things to do in SL is to walk up to people and talk to them. You can ask them what they do in SL or ask about their avatar or if they have a house in SL. It's possible to teleport around with someone and very fun to visit places with someone who knows their way around. One thing you should be careful about is asking for real life information. Some people don't mind sharing a general location but might not want to go into detail. Also, don't send a friend request to people before asking. If you get a laptop be sure it has good graphics car like an nvidia or amd.

Maybe instead of asking for money back you can ask for some additional work to get it closer to what you expected.

It was a Catwa head that I updated! I have been upgrading two avatars. One with Catwa and one with Lelutka. The Lelutka was purchased recently and it doesn't have an animation hud. The Catwa was old and had to be updated because I wanted to try BOM on it. That's when I noticed it had an animation hud. Sorry @Sammie Kiyori. Thanks for pointing that out @Gabriele Graves.

I just updated an old Lelutka head that I got about a year ago. I used the redelivery terminal to get the latest version of that head. This one had a new animation hud. Not sure if that's what you mean by getting animations. Anyways, my old shape still worked for the new head and the applier still worked too. So I ended up with a new head that looks exactly the same but with all the updated features. The old head and components will still exist in your inventory unless you delete them.

I think it’s a great idea! Sol and Luna need some companions. We could go even further with planetary rings like Saturn. Or we can be on a moon orbiting a large planet like the moons of Endor or Pandora.

Isn’t the sauce something called HP sauce? Don’t know what that tastes like or if it goes with chicken. Never really watched any version of The Jungle Book so can’t say if calling someone a chicken is good or bad. I did watch a rather long video about Marmite and still have no idea what it tastes like. I need to get a sample pack of British food items. I can totally make Yorkshire puddings though.

You should feel happy that you are pretty enough to get IMs. Some people are never get IMs because they don’t have a mesh face, have a small chest, and walk funny because they haven’t updated their AO in a while.

I had a moment back in 2006 when I saw a really nice avatar walk by me. She had a nice shape, an AO, blonde prim hair, an orange dress with a flexi skirt attachment, prim shoes, jewelry, makeup. It still remember it after so long. I looked at my starter avatar with her system hair and her system skin with a shape that was made from countless adjustments in a t-pose. I felt like absolute garbage. I think that's what my noob self would feel if I saw myself now.

Pay once a week. It's a hassle but if the owner disappears you are only out for one week. It also works if the problem is on your end and you need to abandon the place. Only out one week at the most. You might want to check if the landlord has a lot of rentals that are not being rented out. They could be losing money and might abandon the land.
