The maturity ratings distinguish between publicly-promoted adult content, required to be on Adult regions, and non-public adult content, such as private homes with a sex bed, that can be located on Moderate land. Adult activities cannot be advertised or publicly promoted on Moderate land. Such activity must occur privately, behind closed doors on Moderate land (see below), and is forbidden on General land. These restrictions apply regardless of whether the parcel has hidden avatars. Advertising for SL search using adult words clearly requires being on Adult land. Other examples of advertising or publicly-promoting include renting signs inworld, listing on events, buying ads in newspapers, or distributing flyers or notecards to passersby. Private invitations to friends are not considered advertising or promoting. Inviting everyone in a small private group that you control is not considered advertising. However, inviting everyone in a public group can be considered a promotional effort. What does "behind closed doors" mean? Adult activity on Moderate land must be conducted "behind closed doors," meaning that you must make every reasonable effort to ensure that the parcel is private. This means: Allow only a group or specific individuals access to the parcel. If it is group-access only, the group must not be freely open to join. Hide avatars (turn off avatar visibility) for the parcel. Enclose the area behind walls or other visual barriers.

In addition to Rolig's great answer; if you do not wish to actually learn these programs or find them too hard to handle you could go the template way. There is quite a few full perm mesh makers on the marketplace (and in world) who create items such as kitchens and sell them full perm. You can purchase these templates, texture the mesh, add on to it (decor, animations etc) and then sell the finished creation in your own store. If you go down that route make sure to follow the template makers TOS, these are usually posted on their product page.

I second this, I'm a fan of their furniture because it rezzes prop's, too! Very interactive, very fun, very high quality and low prim, too. Prices are great as well

Wait, what I gather from your post is that because she follows her mother to mature settings that's something you consider bullying? Hardly so. Which makes me wonder what you consider as 'mature settings'. Underage avatars are permitted into mature regions as well as adult regions as long as they are nowhere near any sexual activities. As far as I've read, standing next to a sex bed is ok for them as long as nobody is using it and no sexual props are rezzed. It's a very grey zone though, and quite frankly I do agree with the general conseus that they should stay out of adult regions entirely and be careful about the mature ones. They're playing with fire and while they might not have any nefarious intentions all it takes is a Linden getting the wrong idea and bye bye goes that person. Forever.

I couldn't find the perfect skybox in the end so decided to just use bits and pieces on my own. Severe work in progress but...I think it's coming along nicely. Not going to be placing down another house in the middle since I got mine on the ground. I am undecided yet though what it'll be. Maybe a cafe, maybe some game tables, or maybe just some seating and a bunch of animals It looks pretty small but it's actually a 64x64 platform, the angle makes it look pretty tiny though

The Tahoe, too! Just did a quick search and stumbled across an expansion that turns a 1 story Tahoe home in a 3 Story home! With some creativety the possibilities are endless and now I actually want a Linden Home to fiddle around with them Too bad I only have around 230sqm left before I'd get bumped into a higher tier

They actually are! I've lived in one for a while when I first went premium back in the day, I do love the community theme and the rules to keep everything looking nicely. I've even come across some products on the MP for the high ceiling houses that basically add another floor to the house, that's some hella smart thinking and really nicely executed. Sadly I didn't make any pictures of my old home but I had one of those fantasy houses with a porch and I managed to get a plot on the edge so had a nice view of the ocean. I'm hoping they will add 1024 options some day and new themes

I was solemnly responding to the quoted post above that completely denies textures having any impact on performance. I told him they do. You proceeded to say they do, too. This isn't about intrinsic details of how much or how little they impact performance. It's about that they do impact the performance which the poster I quoted denied. Are we done yet?

ASjdlsajdlajd come on now, just why? I can't even Stuff like that makes me believe the creator sucks at texturing and is afraid to show their work. You're so right about the colors though, I fell for this the other day. Shame on me for not getting the demo >.> Bought a pair of socks that had two stripes on them, there was a color change HUD to go along with it. The stripes looked white in the ad. ....in game they were the exact same shade of grey you see when a texture hasn't rezzed yet. The other colors looked good but I was still peeved because I bought them for the white stripes. Gave it 4 stars because the product itself was great but don't make stuff look white when it isn't!!! White for some reason always seems to be the main color people screw up. I don't understand what's so hard about it. White is white, not grey, not slightly cream, it's just...white. Sorry for that little mini rant x3

I'd rather not as it has been proven time and time again that textures do indeed affect performance, and that's a fact. When you try to get people to believe you, you should be 100% sure with facts backing you up 100%. Because now? I won't believe a future word you say.

I second what Chic Aeon has said and strongly advice against adding anyone unless you have spoken with them personally and they've agreed to be friends before you send that request. Otherwise you'll be putting them on the spot. They might add you to be nice even though they don't want to, or they'll decline the request and feel bad. Naturally, there's also people who add 'friends' left and right but especially us oldbies can be quite fickle about our friendslists as we're long past any urges we may or may not have had to fill it up. However, welcome to SL, it's a truly fascinating world and it's very likely to suck you in and never let go. And if you do manage to get out...you'll eventually come back. They always do *cue creepy music*

Would be great if you could post your general rates on your website (I realize exact ones can't be given, but general ball park figures would be extremely useful to know) and a bit of info about your workflow. Do you provide the items? Do you expect whoever hired you to provide them? Do you only work with items from your store or do you possess a large landscapers inventory with landscaping items from many SL merchants? Do you offer skybox landscaping? (Aka turning a flat prim/mesh ground into something else entirely with slopes and inclines and generally giving it a non flat feel? Not talking about an enclosed skybox home here.) I may be interested but the extreme lack of any kind of information other than a couple of pictures makes me unsure if I should contact you or not. I'd rather have all the info on hand to know if we click or not than to spend a long back and forth conversation asking tons of questions only to in the end have both our times wasted if you're not who I am looking for. I'd hate to do that to you, and myself for that matter. Perhaps I'm not the only one who shares that view :3

Is there such a breedable anymore? Perhaps Amaretto & Kittycats come close but Meeroo, fennux and fawns seem to have crashed entirely or at least that is the impression I have gotten. Some breedables vanished entirely during my absence. I'm actually thinking of getting a couple Meeroo again for nostalgia's sake and breeding them just for fun without selling the offspring, though if there is still a breedable worth getting into I wouldn't mind having another jab at that. Auctions are fun and its been far too long.

Whoa, I thought that was only me! Once I returned and found that angry expression on my (non bento) head I haven't turned it off since no matter what I wear. Funnily enough, I'm really not an angry type of person but I'd be damned to make her stop doing that expression now, its awesome. Angry avatars rejoice!
