You will still be able to do most of what you want but at the same time, you will also have neighbours. Honestly, if you do a bit of digging in the mp and ask around (feel free to in the Wanted section or the Home&Garden thread!) there's tons of people willing to help you find stores that sell the quality you want with low Li landscaping products/houses/furniture etc. The mp does offer you the option to filter items by prim count. So if you type 'tree' and use that option to filter out all the trees that are between 1-5 prims that's helpful, you can then see which tree has the quality you want without having to sift through those that are far higher in Li. Or you could search for 'complete forest' and set the max prim count to 50. A homestead seems to be the best option in your specific case considering what you wrote. You can rent these by the week, so if you find yourself unhappy there is nothing keeping you from stopping to pay rent and moving somewhere else and making compromises until you find what is perfect for you. We can only make suggestions after all, it's ultimately on you to figure out your best bet^^

In addition to what was already said, you can also advertise your landsale in the https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/286-parcels-for-sale-mainland/ subforum. If you need pricing help look for parcels for sale that come close to your own. Factors such as waterways, beaches, roads etc will higher your lands worth while ugly buildings all around it, ugly ground texture or the parcel being in the middle of nowhere can lower the worth of your land. There is only two solutions here and you named them both, there is unfortunately no middle ground for what you want. Not possible for the reasons stated above. You can neither own a homestead nor an open space region without owning a full sim at the same time. You are mixing up terminology here. Homestead = 256x256 region. 5000 Prims. Can hold up to 20 avatars. Full Sim = 256x256 region. 22500 Prims. Can hold up to 100 avatars. Both are full islands, both are distinctly different in the Prim department as well as visitor count. There is no such thing as a Homestead Full Sim. Back in the day when there were just prims and even when there were sculpties and prims, 5000 prim allowance could get filled up incredibly fast but with Mesh you can build incredible things without using up your prim allowance fast. I think you're far underestimating what 5000 prims can really get you. I've seen MANY homesteads so decked out I thought they were full prim sims but they're not! You're neither naive nor foolish. I think you're just at this stage not realizing the sheer amount of things you can do with a homestead's prim allowance. I know it seems low compared to the 22500 prims a full sim offers but it's really really not. Back when I started I had trouble with the prim allowance on the 8192sqm parcel I had rented. I would run out of prims so fast. But times have changed. Now I own a 5408sqm parcel on mainland with a prim allowance of 1856 which is about the same as my old parcel had. But with Mesh....I have the ground level fully decked out with a fully furnished and intricately decorated house, loads of trees, animals, ferns and grass. It's a winter wonderland for sure. In the sky I have my store as I'm a merchant. The store isn't big but also decorated and made homely. And guess what? I still have 756 prims available that I don't really know what to do with! Without Mesh I would have ran out of prim allowance probably by the time I finished the ground level without having any left over for my store *and* having 756 left unused. It's marvelous what mesh can do. If you do decide to get a homestead, invest into low land impact mesh things. It makes a huge difference to place down a highly detailed mesh tree that is 2 Land Impact as opposed to a highly detailed sculpty tree that is 10 landimpact. If you place down 50 of the former you've used up 100 LI for a pretty big forest, but if you put down 50 of the latter you would have used up 500 Li. There's also premade mesh forests on the MP where 50 trees will have a Land Impact of just 40 Li or so! By the way, prim allowance is what it was called before mesh, the term Land Impact pretty much replaced it when mesh was introduced. It's basically the same thing so don't get confused there.

Hi there, I have a question concerning the flagging of an item. Simply said, I am not sure what category this kind of flag would go under. What happened is, I purchased an item, there were some issues with it that I brought up to the creator and was treated rather rudely in return. Fine, no problem, I left a review on said item pointing out these issues and gave it a 2-star rating. Now, a while later while looking for something I came across this very same product, same name, same creator but all 5 star reviews (fake much?) and my review was gone. At first I thought LL had deleted it but nope, found the product in my favorites and the link leads to nowhere. Clearly the creator simply unlisted the item to hide my review since LL wouldn't take it off and re-listed the product. Now do I flag this item under "Item was disabled & relisted", or "Item Spam, multiple listings for the same item" or? No matter which option I select, there is no comment box for me to add on that old link to the exact same item that is now dead. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Being up to par on genetics and how they work yet claiming to 'have lost big time' doesn't make any logical sense. Either you're not being entirely truthful or you had improbable bad luck that I haven't heard anyone else complain about. I was quite active within those communities back when they were big and spoke to many big time breeders on the regular, none of them reported what you state here. Those who complained about suffering big losses by only getting crappy offspring were ones who had no idea about breeding and I spent many evenings explaining things. It's always easier blaming the system, isn't it?

It was only a money pit if you didn't take the time to look into how RL breeding works. If you gathered knowledge about it and understood it's workings - because both Meeroo and Fennux's breeding was directly modeled after https://www2.palomar.edu/anthro/mendel/mendel_1.htm - you would have faired better. Mendel with his peas was the one to uncover the knowledge of genetic mechanisms and the two above named breedables were making use of that. It wasn't magic, they didn't make up their own rules, no, they specifically stated (and many of us tested this and found it to be true) that the breeding structure was the same as that found with mother nature. Those who simply paired two cute things together without taking a look at their traits and more importantly their ancestors traits sure were throwing money away. They have only themselves to blame however. Breedables on their own were not a money sink at all, it was users who didn't know what they were doing who threw their money into that pit. Edit: Breedables were not a gamble. One could strongly influence the outcome but just like in RL breeding there's unforseen results. What comes to mind is the rather fascinating story of a white couple giving birth to a child of color. He thought she cheated, she was confused AF. Turns out that *his* ancestors hailed from africa and somehow that genetic trait had become dominant in the baby and gave it a skin color that neither matched the parents nor grandparents. Mutations also happen of course. But at the end of the day, if you had any idea of what you were doing you would have had enough good offpsring to pull in profits. At times hitting the jackpot, sometimes getting an undesireable but not to the point where it would be anywhere close to a money sink.

I do realize this post has been made a month ago but I still felt compelled to respond. I sure felt stupid when I invested into the Meeroo breedables and made over 100.000L$ profit. I sure felt really stupid when I invested into the Fennux Breedable and pulled in even more of a profit. Clearly those breeders who had much more breedables to rely on for profits and made ten times my own profit felt stupid, too! Maybe you should think twice before posting about things you admit to not even trying out thus have no experience with it.

Hey, I feel like such a derp but when I go there all it shows me is a bunch of pictures of terminals with most of them having no indication as to what shop it is or a slurl. Is there a more cohesive list of store names? I basically see this: Where am I supposed to get any info on what store it is? Am I missing something here?

Have you looked into "Fitted Mesh" and "Liquid Mesh" that isn't designed for a specific body? (Or at least where a mesh for classic avatars is bundled in with specific body meshes).

I strongly second Ghost on this one. Caspervend is highly reliable, offers a ton of plug ins and options and the support is downright superb. I remember two instances where I had questions, one was immediately answered in the support group and one that needed Casper's direct involvement had him contact me via in world IM within that same day. He was polite, extremely helpful and the issue was cleared up with ease. The webpage set up it offers can mostly be ignored safe for a few key elements, you can however fully fill out that product page as Caspervend has their own MP for SL products using their vendors. I personally *really* like the fact that you can adjust products however you wish on the website without needing to log in in world. I can change vendor pictures, edit product info on a whim or set up all/specific vendors to have a special sale. All with just a few clicks. I recommend getting the premium pack https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/CasperVend-Complete-FAT-PACK-Massive-saving-Vendor-Boards-Vendors/1626868 as it's the most bang for your buck. It has the addition of giftcards, holo vend, Gacha vendor and so much more in it.

Quite confusing isn't it? "I want someone to make this for me." Yet it's not supposed to go into the wanted section. The Inworld employeement subforum is spammed with clubs hiring, there's no regulation on how many times an advert can be posted, some clubs create several, in extreme cases up to 5 adverts at the same time, one for each position (dancer, dj, greeter, manager, escort). So those who want something are quickly finding their threads buried under adverts for job openings. The wanted forum section would be much better suited. Sure you're temporarily 'employing' someone to make something for you, but it's not really what one would understand as a job within the Second Life world. It's more of a comissioned one off project.

Hello there lovelies If it hasn't been mentioned, I just stumbled upon Inverse's Anniversary sale, all their houses are 99L, now's a good time as ever to go shopping<3 That said, I do have another question! I've finished up my ground level home & my store and was surprised to have 760 prims left available. I'd keep 60 for safe-keeping but whoa, 700 prims! Time for a skybox. I've spent the past couple days looking through the MP on and off when I realized you folks no doubt know of a few good ones I won't have come across yet! I am preferably looking for a fully landscaped skybox. I'd like something with vibrant colors, spring, fantasy, summer, beach, woods~ Along those lines! A house with it is not a must! I'm looking for super high quality and realistic textures, it doesn't matter if it's prim or mesh as long as it looks really nice ♥ I do like what FelixvonKotwitz Alter makes, as well as Garden of Dreams. If I can't find any other alternatives I'll go for them! I know I know buying bits and pieces and putting things together will be much more awesome but after spending the past two weeks on nothing but landscaping/decorating I feel a little burned out, yet want a place to chill in that isn't my beloved snow, diversity is a must with me<3 I'll probably build the skybox of my dreams up from the ground in a couple weeks or further down the line but for now I'd like instant gratification Edit: My bad, some of their houses are 99L! I really like the look and the shape, so please don't take this the wrong way! When I first saw the picture my only thought was "Oh boy, those two boobs had a fight and now don't like each other anymore." I think it's the dress but it gives the impression that they're litterly turning away from each other as if to give one another the 'cold shoulder' xDDD I'm so sorry!
