I agree with that. When the Lindens were hands-on moderating, there were one or two idiots amongst them who suspended people for nothing at all, both from the forum and from inworld. It seemed as though they did it merely upon complaints without ever bothering to check them out. I know that at least one of them is still active in the forum who should never be allowed anywhere near that capability. Such idiotic sledgehammer moderation was also sometimes overturned, but not until after the suspension when it was too late, because there was no way to appeal it whilst suspended.

These days, the moderators don't, or can't, use sledgehammers like that, so the moderation now seems to be much more in keeping with what moderation should be.

Peeve: Just saw "Helios Casino and Lounge" is an "Editor's Pick" on the viewer login screen.

That doesn't seem exactly fair, for LL to be promoting their own location as an "Editor's Pick!" (It gives an unfair advantage to LL over user-created content.)

I can't see it as a Pick now so perhaps they rotate.  I wouldn't have seen any of them really as I just login and don't take any notice of all the gubbins on the screen.

TBH, my peeve is kind of redonkulous, as IMHO most people would never hear of the Casino if it weren't featured someplace highly visible like that.

If so I wouldn't worry too much about a lot of advertisement going on.. it's mostly the new people that will see it.. hehehe

I think they all use their own.. I know Black dragon has their own and  my fire storm I think I have mine turned off, because it's just a black screen..

ETA: Oh wait, no. My firestorm has a bunch of other places at the top that looks like a destination guide or something..

@Nalates Urriahgave me a useful tip. I turn on area search, add a part of the "flower's" name, and walk around. I usually find what I'm looking for fairly quickly, then zoom in, and buy it.

Peeve: being proven wrong at entirely too old of an age: first wasp sting in my life, well into my 30s. Had begun to think I was somehow a friend to them or something.

Longer version:

Was walking in the forest today, it's a beautiful day, just me and puppy in something out of a Disney movie. Birds tweeting, ideal temperature, slight breeze, fresh piney scent the rustle of leaves and shafts of sunlight beaming down through the canopy: perfect. I've collected a few mushrooms and a few blackberries even, it's lovely.

I bend over to pick up a stick for puppy and suddenly pain! but from where? I look down and there's a wasp! curled up against my top and with its nasty stinger embedded into my stomach. I freak out (naturally) and look around for a leaf or something to get it off since it seems to have stuck itself into the fabric, no good... so I resort to nudity and pull off my top, luckily nobody but puppy to stand and watch as all this is going on and I'm shaking it out trying to get this stupid evil insect to go away, it does but it's super mad and buzzing at my head and I'm running through the trees topless with puppy thinking this is great fun until I can't hear it any more.

Luckily there was just me, puppy and the trees. I hope. Also turns out wasp stings really sting! who knew?

Peeve: Did not know that "black and white thinking" is categorized as a psychological disorder!

This is a social platform. People are not from the same places and communicate differently. I think I'll just stick to my adult areas, unless I'm with @Cinnamon Mistwood. Much safer with only hardcore sex and violence....Geez, I can't believe that happened to Sid.
