I've finished my second Sakura home and I just have to say I'm really loving this theme.  This time I tackled the Himawari which is a very large house.  Especially when you think its made for a 512.  I made an interior wallpaper shell, a patio pond add-on fences and some other items.

Hope I am not boring you all with so many pictures.

Feel free to come by.  My doors are always unlocked.

This is stunning Hedy, you truly captured a modern and traditional Asian themed home. Love it. 🥰

Thank you Pru.  This theme is especially fun to me.

I was so taken with the beautiful woodwork you captured in your build that I just noticed that gorgeous bed. May I ask where that is from, please? 🥰

It is compulsion's bed, dust bunny/con pillows and my own bedding texture,  I was having trouble finding one to match the idea I had for it.

I have a couple weeks left on my hopper and I caught a Victorian in Forsyte that has been bounced through several owners in the last month.  As usual, I wanted to something I hadn't tried before and a little different than the theme.  I decided on a 70's theme so I could practice my texturing and use some furniture I had picked up a while ago.  I ran out of ideas, but I got a living room, kitchen, and a bedroom finished.  I made the landscaping unkempt and overgrown.  I'll keep at it until this alt runs out of time, but here's what I have so far.  Still need a dining set and maybe a bathroom.  Finding all the burnt orange and avocado green textures was kinda fun.  If anyone is interested in an oceanside Vic in the next couple weeks, let me know

My home in Shiawasena Itachi (Happy Weasel).  This parcel (feel free to stop by) has an actual happy weasel (the busy one from Happy Mood), so I placed a bench to commune with him in the messy garden.  The vegetation calms down around the irori in back, fire risk you know.  I assure you, by the way, that the cook is very expert - you need not be alarmed if you see a platter of puffer fish out there.

On a foggy morning, the mountain appears remote as I get my yoga in.  I had fun making the lily pond, using Kidd's cattails - they have frog and insect noises, which you can cutoff around your parcel with his amazing 3D sound setup.  Yes, it really works.

Behind the pond is the very private soaking tub.

You enter the Haibisukasu directly into the living room.  I imagined a modern Japanese-American young couple living here, their lifestyle partaking unapologetically of both cultures.  (Forgive me for not attempting to create appropriate avatar looks.)  Incidentally, the calendar above the desk uses a print from a RL calendar I own of Utagawa Hiroshige woodblocks.  You may think having a tea chest right by the front door is eccentric, but its drawers struck me as the perfect place to store your shoes and spare tabi to change when you walk in.

The simple dining room is divided from the living room by a gas fire pit.

There is a large, not particularly interesting kitchen as well. The front room makes a sunny music room :) The koto actually plays, you can try it (tho the script seems a little fussy), it's lovely.

The bedroom suite upstairs features the bathroom, behind shoji screens.

I love having a mountain view from the bedroom.

The three of us just took over the house about 3 hours ago, so i just threw things at the wall to see what would stick.  There isn't much actual garden space, so i wild flowered out the side and then slapped a Moroccan gazebo out the back...

Congrats  You can post your decorating journey in the decorating sub forum.  I'd love to see what you do wit it.

ETA: now that the post i was responding to was moved to the decorating sub forum, this comment makes absolutely no sense.  Oh well, I'll leave it and make people wonder what's wrong with me.

All done!  Took about 5 hours plus a lot of rummaging around in my inventory.

Small wild flower meadow on the side (there isnt much garden space on this plot), Moroccan Gazebo out back, old Rolls parked out front and a retro-esque feel to the inside of the building.

Gonna have my cousin pop over and do a mesh shell of the inside of the main room so i can put decent wallpaper on it...

I have debated posting anything about this but I do want to acknowledge the great auctions that Linden Lab runs to support the  American Cancer Society.  In the past I have bid in many of them and won a few:  Add a last name (Blackwood), Name a region (Owls Flight) and, most recently, Win a Secluded Linden Home for six months (your choice of theme).  I won this last in the auctions held in June for SLB 19 and had my prize delivered to my alt yesterday.  Experienced Bellisserians will probably be able to tell where this is.  I love the LL ACS auctions and plan to bid on something at every chance I get!

I visited a couple of unoccupied auction parcels last month, they are beautiful.  It's great to see this glorious place go to such an avid decorator and Belli enthusiast!  Maybe I'll bid on one next year instead of doing PP :)
