SSP?

Seventeen new Ranchland region names have appeared on the World Map today, located at the north and northwest of the Ranchland continent.

Sixteen of them contain Ranch house parcels, while one (Two Step) is another empty Homestead sim region.

The west of Ranchland now extends to within a 3 sim region distance of Sansara continent's eastern side sim of Findlater, although I predict no connection will be made there as it doesn't have a public/protected coastline that would benefit from it.

Pssst! but Bleaberry Tarn would!

The seventeen new regions are named as:

Calabash, Squirrel Camp, Garden Prairie, Uppatree, Two Step (Homestead), Catkins, Mossbank, Giggling Ferret, Bunny Slope, Trumpeter Pond.

Weevil, Barnums Folly, Bearfoot Dance.

Toboggan Scream, Skeeter Pond.

Sidearm Pitch.

Leyfsa Birch.

The regions are not yet open to be explored, at this moment Abnor is still there making things.

Does anyone else think Ranchland is beginning to look like a cowboy straddling a horse, on the map?

I'm skipping this theme, but if I weren't I would definitely want a home in Giggling Ferret, to go with my Sakura in Happy Weasel.

"Leyfsa Birch" LOL

3 weeks exactly until the Christmas Expo opens.  Meanwhile, up in the SSP zone, LL made a standalone region which appears to be a clone of one of the regions in the new theme tile development block.  Lively work has been in progress there for the last few days.  Right now:

Demo region?  The Christmas Expo website is not really active yet.

Hopefully this means they'll add in the coast soon, so they can link the railways

Yes, please! I meanwhile updated this map showing railways on Mainland+Bellisseria. As before, yellow indicates existing tracks and red shows possible / sought / likely connections.

The welcome hub's laser tag is now an under construction something else. Looks to be numbered plots and it's a community showcase, so maybe those will be assigned to communities to decorate. It's linked by a walking bridge, so easier for newbies to get there. Could also open it up for extra hub regions, as the paths go out to the edge.

The shops there haven't changed over, I noticed. I walked past one person I think was new, but they were afk, so I think I got away with not confusing anyone this time. Apparently the official marketing doesn't mention the mushrooms.

A single dot has been moving in the SSP4500s the times I've checked. Let's hope they don't find too many broken things!

Is there any train service that runs through those tracks?

There are rez zones all along the track for you to rez your own train.

My favorite $L 1 train on Marketplace. It's modifiable, so you can remove cars to lower the Land Impact and add passenger seats if you wish.

This is great. I have explored Bellisseria on sail boat. Now I can explore it via the train track.

Moles have been working on the Victorian / Log Home North coast! Abnor's trolly is on the track, and it looks like they're planning to put in a waterfall under the track at Port Haven. Maybe this will be part of a Thanksgiving surprise?

It's an early Festivus miracle.  Looks like that fabled NE passage to the stilts and points beyond may finally be on the horizon.

Giddyup

Yes, at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Giddyup/128/128… And interestingly, across the void from here, there lies region Dunvegan (one square up, three squares left) on eastern Sansara, where we can see a parcel named «pending protected status», at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dunvegan/117/126, at the end of an unbroken string of parcels named «Protected Land» that goes on water and land through regions Dunbeath, Rumgally, Big Mushamush, and Dauphin, to meet the end of an (unnamed) LL road at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Drum/163/52 — where it connects to the whole Sansara road network! 😍

LogLand's western coastline is shaping up to be just gorgeous.  This is the falls at Port Harbor - note that there is a rez zone where the bridge crosses the river, above the top of the falls.  You could rez a kayak, ride down the falls, and paddle over to the Bumper Boat court in BelliHub very easily.  The lighthouse is in Broad Seas.  When they fill this area in with landscaping (and stilts?), oh my.

Just a few regions down the coast is the Victorian train station with a dock ... probably not completely built out yet.

Hope the ranch regions get a coastline that provides a water connection to Sansara’s East River.
