I mix and match animations if many AOs, Vista's included. I've been doing it for years. I like lots of animations from various creators, but I prefer the HUD made by Vista. So yep, lots of different animations from different creators in my Vista HUD.

I'm not a fan of 'up the crack' pants or clothes that have so many wrinkles in the knees and underarms that it looks as though I've been sleeping in my clothes for over a week, so some of those brands dropped off my radar long before the release of LaraX. I've been really fortunate though to have many of my favorite brands adopt LaraX. Though, I still wish more would pick up PetiteX.
-
Though I can't ever remember using up all my attachment spots, it was nice when I got into my LaraX because that cleared up three attachment spots for deformers, which were no longer needed.
-
Are you sure about 50 attachment points? Remember clothing layers are completely separate. As far as I know, there are 38 attachment spots regardless of your account level. From the wiki: Max. # of attachments - 38 combined HUD or body attachments. They can be viewed by right-clicking your avatar and choosing Edit My Outfit. With the formal introduction of multiple attachments to a single point in Viewer 2.4, you can attach up to 38 total objects, and they can all be attached to a single point. With the introduction of the Bento armature, there are 47 attachment points available. With the introduction of Animesh, there is a limit of 1 Animesh attachment for Basic & Plus members, 2 if the resident has Premium or Premium Plus. So while there are 47 attachment points you can ONLY attach a maximum number of 38 objects.

It always baffles me how someone can use so many attachment points. Currently, Debi is fully dressed with mesh body, head (Lelu so 4 spots), earrings, rings (2 sets), hair, top, skirt, shoes, HUDs for body/head/AO/Attachment scanner/and hugger. She still has 23 spots available. I understand that I may dress minimally in comparison to others, but she has 23 still available. Curious as to how you're using attachment spots for makeup. I use either BoM makeup or appliers made for my mesh head. None of that requires additional attachment spots.

Shop (store) ideas that won't fly
Blush Bravin replied to Raspberry Crystal's topic in General Discussion Forum
I know that this post is meant to be tongue in cheek, but sometimes.... I'm tired of opening up Seraphim to check out the event galleries to constantly see tops that barely have a triangle to cover the "N" (not sure what gets flagged these days so using initials in this post). Skirts that are so short that the "V" is peeking out below the hem or so low in back that the whole crack shows .. not just butt cleavage. Pants with broken zippers. And on and on. Get the picture? I'm just tired of it! Maybe it's my age. I just don't know anymore. -
That assumes there are NO customers who enjoy no mod clothing, which I find completely erroneous. I buy tons of no mod clothing and enjoy the heck out of my clothes. There are a few brands of mod clothing that I probably wouldn't buy if it weren't for the fact they are mod as the quality of the mesh and color selections offered wouldn't fulfill my needs otherwise. So, I get that making your product mod is just one feature that may make your products more attractive. But in my opinion, there are many creators who make such a superior product that having mod as a feature just isn't important.
-
The flip side of this is that it's quite possible you would have inspected the item had it not been modded. You very well may have looked to see who the creator was and possibly visited the person's store. But because the item looked crappy you didn't even take a moment to see who made it. I personally do a lot of "window shopping" looking at what people are wearing to find new creators. This kind of advertising is the same as word of mouth, which in my opinion is some of the best advertising. So while I too like to be able to mod clothing, I don't begrudge any creator who decides to make their creations no mod.

I agree. I've never bought the Avalon, though I've demo'd it many times. I just can't get the face I want with it; however, I loved the Billie when I first tried it on. But then I played with the shape too much and got it all chiseled in a way that was too runway model looking. That's never been my style. So I started over with my old shape and barely moved any of the sliders to get the face I really love. So yeah, they may look similar depending on your shape, but they are different.

Those straps have to be super stiff to stand up like that; therefore, I'd think they would be less comfortable. Kind of like wearing a corset, which I've always found to be very uncomfortable. Honestly, maybe I'm just too old. But if that passes for fashion .. let me be unfashionable!

If when you say tattoo and clothing layers, you mean the mesh layers that are worn in addition to the Maitreya body, then those do not use BoM. But if you use the system layer clothing parts, ie tattoo, top, bottom, etc then those use BoM and are baked onto your skin which shows on both your system avatar and your mesh body. I think you may be confusing the mesh layers that come with the body and regular system clothing objects. Hope I'm not confusing you further. Since a picture is worth a thousand words. Here's a graphic to better explain what I meant.

I'm wondering if it's just the skin or the actual sculpt, but Bille appears to be older than most, possibly any, of the previous heads. Here's hoping!

I recently downgraded Blush from Premium Plus to regular Premium, but before doing that I found a lovely houseboat up near the Newbrookes on sand. It's a really beautiful area with lots of landscaping even though it's on water. Houseboats seems as though it would take less LI. So I was curious to see if that's true because there's lots of landscaping around my houseboat. So I did some investigating. The "front yard" to my houseboat has 197 LI in vegetation and rocks. And below on the sea floor another 223 in LI. And I've not even included all the rocks and grass underwater just outside of my "back yard". I panned out to get a view of what the sea floor looks like with turning water rendering off. And there's lots going on under the water here. I'll be keeping my houseboat for what I think will be a long time as this is the first parcel I actually went searching for and requested using my PP perk. I've also determined that after living in every theme that houseboats are my favorite. And can completely agree that the idea of having 2048 houseboats is very appealing, but I don't think they require less work or land impact if built in the same fashion as my current houseboat region.

Are you using "add" when using the alphas? If you use "wear" it will only let you use one. Be sure you're selecting "add" to wear the alphas. -
The thing that bothers me about the idea is imagining how people would landscape their yards. With so much space for landscaping I have the image of a lot of 'mini' forests planted inside the borders that do not in any way match or blend with the mole content. Logs has a very specific feel that I'm not quite sure could be maintained with really large yards.

This too is my concern. I have helped a person who wanted a super skinny body like she was able to get with 5.3. She was really upset that she couldn't be skinny with LaraX. I was able to get her a shape that was nearly identical to her old shape, and that was before we had the butt deformer. I'm pretty sure that with the butt deformer we could get the X bottom to be as thin as her 5.3. I have absolutely no issue with anyone preferring the 5.3 over the X as long as they aren't following a misconceived notion that the X can't get skinny, because it can. You just have to rethink how the body is going to react to the sliders, because if you try to get the same shape using the same sliders and numbers as you have in the past with 5.3 you will not like the result unless all your numbers were pretty much in the center of the sliders.
-
Couldn't disagree with you more. The changes in the thighs for me is a big difference. Sure if you keep your thighs super thin you may not noticed what an improvement there has been made to the shapeliness of the upper legs, but for me it makes all the difference. Also, the change in the pelvic region itself is so much prettier than it was with the 5.3 body.

Official Bellisseria Subcontenent Names
Blush Bravin replied to Persephone Emerald's topic in Linden Homes
I think you may be remembering a speculation that was posted as a map suggesting that the flipped and reversed pickle would fit in an area when people were speculating about future expansions. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I thought it was said in one of the meet the moles that the templates couldn't be flipped or rotated. -

I thought you were referring to the houseboat "pickle" where the pickle bar is located. So here in Permaglow is where the "incident" occurred. -

Pretty sure Three Mile Island is in the Trads where the green waterfall is located. I don't recall the pickle ever having a radiation incident. I think the only thing that bothers me about all these names is "official" being tied to any of them. None of them are official as far as I can tell. Lots of names have been suggested, and nearly as many have been forgotten. The ones that get used all the time end up being remembered. There are lots of names on that map that I've never heard before and am likely not to remember or hear again. -
It's not a matter of being a "newb" or not. The LaraX responds to sliders in a much different manner than the previous body. So while the slimmer shapes are very possible, you just have to rethink how you use the sliders. So in that regard we are all "newbs" when it comes to making shapes for Maitreya X bodies. And as has been mentioned before, the newly released deformer will greatly aid you in getting the very thin shapes you may desire.
