SSP?

FWIW, up in the SSP zone all 36 regions now have been created for what appears to be a new theme.  Nowadays, there's usually at least one person at work there whenever I check.  The speed at which this has is being put together seems to me to indicate that it's a new 2048 theme, but that's of course speculation.  /me places a marker on mid-December.

Also, any idea what this little block of new-ish SSP regions is for?  I noticed them recently above the "Monkey" regions.  Perhaps another sort of Hub?  Or something to facilitate moving from first generation LHs to Belli?

Hmm. Undoubtably, British Airways (BA) are opening four new airport terminals in SL. ^

Thanks for the earworm 👂🪱- at least it’ll replace Virgin’s I Am What I Am (why, Virgin, why???!!!) for a bit… Oh, no, Sarah! You’ve removed the musical reference!

And now, an update to this Wild Speculation post about possible new Fantasy homes:

Today, in one of the few remaining regions in the original SSP zone Fantasy buildout, there was a person dead center.  Really, I NEVER see anyone in this sort of leftover region.  Then that dot disappeared, and one immediately showed up in the SSP QA Vault region, where moles seem to archive Linden Home builds.

Also, on and off, there has been someone in SSP83X, traditionally used to test home controller modifications.  It's quite early to be doing controller work for the new theme.

OK, yes, someone might be working on a bug fix.  Or a Fantasy Halloween build.  My little observations mean nothing.

OR DO THEY???

Is there some culture where believers get wishes granted on Halloween?  If so, my personal wish would be for new Fantasy home styles!

Other themes have had new style love, so it wouldn't surprise me! Little cottages would be fun for Hallowe'en. Nice big oven inside. Candy trail.

Does seem like they're working on a bunch of different things, as pretty much everyone is gone from the public areas. Forcing us to map spy on the dots instead. No test cars to try stealing. Tough times.

More oddity in the SSP zone that was previously used for the Fantasy buildout (large green block).  That entire area was deleted LONG ago (tho of course leftover map tiles still show, patchily).  I just noticed that just two regions in the middle of it have returned.  Neener neener!

The lab just announced that a new Linden Homes store will be launching soon.

"Coming very soon, the new Linden Home Store will make selecting your new home much easier. With this upgrade, we're putting the power of choice and control right at your fingertips".

"The new Linden Home Store looks and works great on your mobile device’s browser. Whether you're on your computer, tablet, or smartphone, you can now view and select from all Linden Homes".

"By popular demand, you can browse all the Linden Homes even if you already own one, you are not logged in, you do not yet have a Premium subscription, or the Linden Home model you want is not currently available".

Check the preview here.

What does everyone think of the new look ?

Hmmm... The page shown gives a mishmash of alphabetical listing by house-style names and house themes. Question 1 (to Patch et al.): Why are the original Linden homes listed at all? Question 2: If the decision has been made to definitely include them, why are they featured in this way?

Other observations: The photos are poor - there's no need for the perspective to be distorted. For an initial page (not shown), each theme should be shown, with links to the house types available in that theme. While a clickable alphabetical index of all house names would be useful, that is not the best way to present the information in the first instance.

The upcoming land page is so underwhelming that I'm really disappointed. I was expecting a new Linden Homes portal that puts Bellisseria at the forefront and fades out the old theme. Mixing them all in is confusing and they look dated. Also, I thought they were going to show us available homes, not just available themes, which at the moment, is all of them.

No one has ever said that showing available *parcels* would be possible, as information would be out of date as soon as it was presented.

And yet it's been done not by LL, but they banned land bots so that feature was removed from the site that shall not be mentioned here.

Well, when I looked at that site at the time, what I saw was a tally of the available parcels in each theme, nothing at a more granular level identifying where those parcels were located. And I maintain that given the rapidity with which any houses in popular themes are claimed when they appear on the Land Page, that level of detail would be useless - counterproductive, even - as the parcels would be gone by the time you pulled up a map.

You must have missed the page that gave direct SLurls. But anyway, not all themes are popular or snapped up within seconds. This is a useful feature for premium plus concierge ticketing. People aren't going to teleport around or scan the gigantic continents for a place to ticket, certainly not new players who don't even know where all the themes are located. Just a suggestion. LL is capable, just because they haven't given us a feature doesn't mean it's not possible.. soon. :)

They've blogged about what's happening. There will be a candy hunt from the 12th. Millbank opens for haunted stuff tomorrow (5th October). I'm guessing we'll get the buckets from there like last year.

Are there different tier of prizes?
