  1. Let us then presume you've never used one at length.
  2. Yes, exactly. When Belleza upgraded to the current version, they (apparently) upgraded their applier, too. Most creators have not updated to the current Belleza Applier, so their old appliers don't work. Any creator using the new applier - it works just fine. Another reason to never buy ANYTHING unless there is a demo you can try *first*.
  3. I was looking at that region yesterday (Friday) morning around 7-8 AM SL Time and counted 14 greenies at once. I am hopeful they are "on a roll" with those Trailer regions (They are now coming up really fast.) I've been following them and can see at least 10 or 12 regions in varying levels of development. I don't know how many they intend to complete before initial release, but I am *hoping* the target is before end of this month.
  4. Final Cut Pro X. Once you've used it (and gotten used to it) you'll never go back. I've used Premier, Vegas, Avid, and countless others. They all look and work basically the same way. But when Final Cut Pro X came out it was an instant game-changer starting with Magnetic Editing. It was developed by the original creator of Adobe Premier and he stated that it was a chance to "start over" and how he imagined premier. At first there were some real growing pains (missing features, like multi-angle editing, etc.) But it's now fully matured and with Motion and Compressor adding it rivals Avid Composer Ultimate.
  5. Okay... yes, that is a Devil's Triangle mystery, isn't it? Though at the same time, I will scold the creator while standing on the sideline (I don't have a right to LOL) for creating a wafer-thin wall cover. A better method would be to make it thinker so that it is embedded into the wall itself, rather than hanging a sheet over it. (I say this only based on what I know from comments and descriptions, which is why I have no right to scold anyone) I'll bow out now as the dead horse is starting to fall apart now.
  6. Please cite your source. As for the law at the Federal level, it's not $20,000; it's $10,000. This is why you can make a single deposit of $9,999.99 into your bank with no worries. A penny more and your bank will report it to the IRS. Of course, we are speaking on U.S. Law, other countries may have different requirements. When coming into or going out of the United States, you must declare any money you are carrying above $9,999.99. And so on. Because IRS.
  7. You are injecting emotion into text copy where there is none. Never take anything written in the forums personally and never inject emotion into written text. By doing so you do yourself a disservice.
  8. Based on recent comments, I suspect nothing is moving, but rather that it is an alignment issue. Where one side of the cover fits right and the other side is not with a gap, etc. (left-to-right or up-and-down, not flip-side) - that this is happening with a particular style. Perhaps this style of house is *very slightly* rotated when it is rezzed and not exactly on the primary directions of the compass and people are only noticing when they eventually look at the side that is not properly aligned (thereby thinking it happens "later".) Of course, it may be close enough that most people don't care or notice. Then there are people like us: Aynahl about how stuff Fitz!
  9. Yeah, I *still* maintain that prim is king. Just because mesh doesn't't mean anyone ought to mesh. Mesh is way over-used in SL.
  10. OH! So the entire house may be drifting? That's the only explanation, unless something is getting wet and shrinking because of it! I hadn't noticed that at all on my house when I had one, though I didn't use wall covers, either. I don't know how these wall-covers are designed and I'm not in a house right now so I can't check. Though if I were to make wall covers I'd make them thick enough so the same prim on both sides of the wall (where possible) and use select face for different colors if desired. (Yes, prim, I don't see a need to use mesh unless odd-shaped). Though I don't remember how thick the walls are in those. ANYWAY, sorry if I derail the thread or anything, I was mostly thinking aloud and thought I'd throw that useless idea out there.
  11. So what you are describing is the (very old, long-since fixed) "prim-drift" bug? Is that right? As I understand it the walls are lined up initially, they they move or are otherwise misaligned... Have you tried LOCKING them into place while they are aligned? I'm not saying that's the answer, just suggesting something I haven't seen suggested up to now. My apologies if it was suggested and I missed it.
  12. Unless you are one of the very few privileged people who are above the law. @Selene Gregoire's statement is actually accurate and true. So I'm not sure of the meaning of your reply to that. A scofflaw is still a scofflaw, they are not above the law, they are below it. Just saying.
  13. The one feature every viewer is missing is the ability to derender, save that derender information [into an inventory object], and share that with other people so they can "apply" the same derenders to their viewers.
  14. I may be misremembering, though I understand that setting is to control a subset of graphics memory for pre-rendering or something or other - it's not a full setting for the full capability of your graphics chips. It's like come kind of buffer or cache for graphics.
  15. They call it "voice", but it's really "Televisions, screaming at kids, being screamed at, burping, farting, disgusting-sounding gum-chewing, health-related labored-breathing, loud-slurping from a glass or straw, chuckling, and anything else that is nasty/annoying/gross/uncalled-for/irritating that you can think of sound-application" Who wouldn't want to listen to all of that by having that feature turned on?
  16. Most creators aren't very bright with regard to sales analytics, the smart ones sell their product in a separate sale for each body type; they know which bodies are popular. The rest sell one box with all body types so how do they know which of those is the least popular? The only way would be a "phone-home" script that reports back each time a product was rezzed. The legacy is the new shiny. It's a way for creators to attempt giving the impression how "progressive" or "on-the-ball" they are. Also, it's no secret that "first movers" do best. As for dropping one brand for another: likely so they don't interrupt their established workflow. If you're into a real conspiracy mood, you could wonder if the TMP people are paying or otherwise in cahoots with some creators to "drop that body for our and we'll xxx for you". LOL
  17. You are absolutely correct! EVERYONE should always make their avatars to the proper scale of whatever building or furniture they are using! They shouldn't *be allowed* otherwise! You are so correct! Anyone can be anythi... wait a minute. /me looks it up... Okaaaaayyyyyyy...
  18. What type of business and what is your budget?
  19. All you have to do is practice painting a vivid mental picture and describe every detail. Imagine in your head that you are witnessing what is happening, then describe what you see it in as much detail as possible. Though not "escort" fodder, an example would be: Simple way: "/me scowls at you angrily." Detailed way: "/me glares at you from under her eyebrows with a look that would set you on fire if it were possible, nostrils flaring, and down-curled lips quivering rapidly in absolute anger." See the difference? Picture the image clearly in your head, then describe the image is as much detail as you can. As though describing what you see to a blind person, or someone on the phone.
