Many creators do that for things like decor and furnishings. In a nutshell, it's mainly a matter of uploading twice at different LOD levels. Agreed with this, and those are the best creators because they are forward-thinking. The whole LOD issue is among the reason's I'm still a fan of good old fashioned prims. If something is prim-based and well-built (it actually looks great) I'll go with that and willing to spend the LI for it (within reason) because it will not crumble to pieces and since prims are build into the viewer, it doesn't cause FPS-hell workload (truth: fewer mesh and more prims = better FPS in my experience and I've been around for a little bit.)

Here are direct comparisons - made into grayscale so skin colors don't influence (as much as is possible) - look at the shape of the top of the shoulder and the armpit area - both with arms outward and arms straight-down. This is the kind of detail I pay attention to, myself (and why my personal mesh body choice is the Belleza, in this case it is Venus model).

A few brands are like that and it among the primary reasons I keep coming back to my Belleza. I haven't worn my Slink or Tonic in a while so I don't remember if they have that issue or not, though I think Eve does and I don't like the butt and knee shapes on them as well (and the legs on Maitreya - SO European-looking to me and, again, why I come back to Belleza) - though Maitreya has the best default girl-bits among all of them (including Belleza) and a decent butt. LOL And to clarify for those who take comments personally - I'm not saying others are bad, I am speaking only for myself and my own likes and dislikes. Everyone has different taste. And the "shoulder" thing isn't so much the shoulder as it is the *armpit* area - it's "cut" too high up. Wait.. I wonder if this comment should go into that new "Vanity" thread...

The real question is whether you want live bodies who are not perpetually AFK. Understatement. Search Places for ANY term whatsoever, no matter how ambiguous or specific with the Adult rating turned off , for example: "free sex" and you'll get "barely-populated' regions. Turn on the Adult feature and search "child" and everything over 20k traffic is a Sexual deviancy-related location. BUT SL is NOT all about SEX!!! Go figure.

I didn't think of that aspect. That's smart! Build it in worst-case scenario and it can only be better than what you've got when building it! This is why I'm not smart enough for the deep-scripting stuff.

If you are doing candids, then slow-motion is definitely your best option. In all viewers turn on the DEVELOPER MENU. In the AVATAR sub-menu, you have these options: All animations 10% Faster All animations 10% Slower Slow Motion Animations Reset All Animation Speed <-- important one LOL

Yes, that's what I suspect, elevated also - so I am thinking they will run it eastbound over water and stuff. It also means (to my suspicion) that they will also build-out SSP260, 278-280, 294-296, 310-312, and 236-328, at the least. Ugh. I DUNWANNAWAIT! Edit to add: I wouldn't be surprised if it loops back up to SSP284 to link up. I can also envision they may put an autonomous tram or something, like the Ferry at the Fairgrounds. That would be fun, too, I think.

I've hear men call it "Train-Tunnel Pelvis Gap" LOL But, as I understand it, that gap *usually* comes from child-birth (the way many in SL are creating it) - because a natural pelvic gap happens the skinnier you are, not the other way around. 🤣

Updated my comment to detail how it works There is a SAFETY - If the current high is 250:1 and you offer 1000: one, it will not go that high. It will create a new pool of 251:1 - the next higher rate. This way the market doesn't't go chaotic and you are protected also.

That's actually really low. The "high" versus "low" is a measurement of the strength of the dollar, not the Linden Dollar. The $1 is the anchor and reference point in the exchange. The way to look at it is what is the value of the Linden Dollar; How many $L can I get for my one dollar U.S.? If I can get 300 $L for my $1 then I am getting a better deal (the $L is low value - so I get more for my one dollar). But if I only get 200 $L for the same $1 then the $L value is high, because it's costing me more each each $L, so I get fewer for the same $1. So, for the *fastest* transaction, you lower the value of your $L by offering MORE for the same $1 - someone buying $L will buy yours because they are getting more. If you are Buying $L you want the highest number of $L you can get for that same $1, right? This is why $L261:1 is called the HIGH and $L253 is the LOW - it's not the strength of the $L that is measured, it's the strength of the $1 that is measured. NOW, the way RATE buys work: Let's say ten people offer $L250, each selling L$1000. That's a total of $L10,000 Now ten more people offer $L249. 10 more offer at $L248. Lets say you were the 5th person to offer $L249... All $L10,000 being sold at 250 per dollar must sell before that pool runs empty. When that pool runs empty, all new buys will come from the next lower pool - the L$249 pool. So let's say the first three sellers in the 249:1 pool sell, then two people offer 250:1. Now there is another 2,000 in the 250:1 pool... Now I want to buy $L5000 - it will pull from the pools like this: First 2000 from the 250 pool and the remaining 3000 from the 249 pool. That mean both sellers in 250 have sold and the next three in the 249 pool have sold - in the 249 pool you were number 5, but the first 3 sold earlier, so you are now number 2 in the batch of three that will be pulled, you've now sold your $L.

This - you reaffirm my own hypothesis on the matter. Olbies have been around long enough to become annoyed and disillusioned with the states of the grid as it pertains to "get off my lawn or I'll shoot" mentality (that feels more prevalent than it really is.) Renters are people who prefer the flexibility of mobility or simply uninterested in the prerequisites of owning land or LL home. This is why I say there may be a small dent in the rental business (from those upgrading to premium for the first time,) though generally overall will be status quo.

I really hate to say it, but maybe it's time to consider a move to a new place? I wouldn't have put up with what you are putting up with, so I have to salute you on your perseverance!

Absolutely THIS. I have my LOD set at 2 on the slider (half-way point; default) and it's amazing how much junk fall apart at 20 meters away (Giant yachts are the funniest). And if a creator ever tells you that you need to turn up your LOD setting, they are dead wrong and out-of-line. And remember: even if you turn your LOD settings up, others who don't will still see you as the Emporer with new clothes (Seriously: I am seeing MESH CLOTHING that disappears 10 meters away LOL)

I'm wearing Genus head in my Profile picture here, my alt wears a Genesis head and get's more compliments (and far more likes in some of the photo threads here) - even though both are made to look similar. Genesis Animations are not an issue (I use Chrysanthemum face AO and it's better than most facial AOs, including Catwa and Lelutka, but that's a moot point. I have Maitreya, All three Belleza, Eve, Tonic and Slink. I do not judge the quality of any based on how often they are updated, etc.; I based it on the look and on (as asked by the OP) how the sliders allow me to get the look I want (I *still* keep going back to Belleza Venus) - and @angelikiinha - try demos of all the bodies you can find. All three Belleza bodies can do a maternal belly quite well. As for Bakes on Mesh: Just as with Bento - it will not be "main stream" until at least a year after Firestorm finally gets around to implementing it. So BoM is NOT something people should be considering as a buying-decision priority right now. Most creators of things will be implementing BoM by this time next year. As for mesh heads and BoM: Not necessary, as long as you can get a matching skin with an applier for the head, and a BoM version for the body, it's still doable. And just because BoM is the new shiny, it doesn't't mean you have to use it. Onion-skin bodies and heads will be around and well in-use five years from now.

When the rate you want to buy at is the going rate then you will receive them. Check the list of buy rates - If the current rate is 250:1 and your buy rate is 248:1 then you have to wait until all the offers to buy at 250:1 and 249:1 are sold out before your pool starts selling, and even then, first-come, first served, so if there are 100 people ahead of you at your rate, they sell first, etc. The 6-Days is the estimated time to fill your order based on the trending history of the market. Look at MARKET DATA to see the trending history. The time-to-fill estimate is not that accurate. As I type this right now, the going rate is 253:1, TOday's volume is 18.7 Million $L (that's the total pool right now). If you're rate is at 254:1 (I presume) then you are in the next batch, once ALL the 253:1 sells out. Most people who buy $L go with the quick-buy, rather than rate-buying because the potential profits (or difference) is minuscule compared to wait time unless you are buying in very large bulk (like $500.00 U.S. or more).
