  1. It sounds like a relog is in order, your viewer has lost connection with the server - you are seeing it deleted on your viewer, but it's not being deleted at the server, so ... Whenever I see this I usually relog immediately because it means half the connection is already lost.
  2. Technically it's not the same body. The purpose of BoM is to eliminate the extra mesh layers (onion skin layers) of current mesh bodies, so no underwear, tattoo, or clothing mesh layers to use appliers on, but rather a single layer that the BoM Composite is put on, and the composite being created using the system layers. Whether the mesh body creators will follow this intended paradigm or continue with the inion skin layers is yet to be seen. This is, in my mind, BoM is an all or nothing choice, unless the new Omega BoM relay is used.
  3. I figure it may take up so much brain power that the painful effort is worth at least a half-point up from zero. Or should it be going from -0.95 to 0? I suppose that would make more sense, huh?
  4. I don't understand your questions. You may want to look at this post and even go through the thread:
  5. Explain your reasoning. I'm with you on this. It's hardly a failure and will not be. It takes time to bloom into fruition, just as Bento did. Though there always will be negative-slanted naysayers in every crowd. They are the ballast in bottom of the hull that keeps the rest of the ship upright.
  6. Here is Bellisseria Working version on SL Maps - click this link, then zoom OUT to see it all. If you click anywhere you will see the region name. This location is approximently center of the continent. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SSP170/1/1/20/
  7. It's better: Vice-versa - it converts BoM parts into Appliers - so you can use BoM on a non-BoM body.
  8. I reiterate: All (BoM = Yes) or nothing (BoM = No). One could argue that it's "Some or nothing" - but then it requires brain-power (in terms of effort, not intellect) to make it work that most are not so willing to give right now.
  9. Appliers and "Onion-Skin" mesh bodies will still be a round for a very long time. Bakes on Mesh will not really catch-on for another six months to a year, and even then it will just be another option for creating a look. I'm not so sure it will take-off the way Bento has because Bento is no-brainer easy: Just buy and use updated animation and wear the right mesh. For BoM there is a oot more complication involved right now as people suffer the learning curve. When Creators have made using BoM as easy as using Bento then it will take off, except for the fact that unless a lot of old content is updated, many may not be willing to discard what already is a very heavy investment into the "current technologies" - only those willing to reinvest, because unlike Bento animations that can be mixed and matched, BoM cannot be mixed and match with non-BoM. BoM, at this point, is an all-or-nothing decision.
  10. These are great. To take it even further, here is a thread I created on lighting and camera-controls (via keyboard, which is a lot more flexible that the viewer controller):
  11. This. I've seen three houseboats and one traditional already this morning (My RL time is SL time) - though it seems a bit quiet from here for now.
  12. SL time is faster than Dog time. Seven days in SL is equivalent to seven months in RL. See? The maths is easy! You already know that you are the exception to the major law-of-averages. So you are just boasting. And there's nothing wrong with that; you've earned it. Congratulations!
  13. I'm watching the new Dark Crystal on Netflix, too and loving it! LOL I'm not completely certain, but I'm pretty sure I was able to come close to a Gelfling look with a Catwa head, I don't remember if it was Catya or one of the others. Since it wasn't what I was going for I was hating the head (I know: laughs). If you'd like me to give it a go, PM me here in the forums (so I'll remember to give it a try when I get in-world next).
  14. I found that script at one of the shops that sell scrips. I tested on an ordinary prim and it imploded when rezzing on the floor. I'd avoid those shops too that use that method. It's a one-liner in LSL: Basically "OnRez - llDie" - LL Die command deletes from the world instantly, does not go into trash, does not pass Go, does not even leave ashes behind. I *HATE* When creators use that. This is the benefit of owning your own place where you can turn OFF scripts (or find a region on Bellisseria and other places where scripts are turned off.)
  15. Catznip has a major feature where you can set any folder to be a system folder (cannot accidentally delete, moves it up in the list) and also set the location where any incoming object or folder will go. Most Firestorm Features are in their, albeit not all found in the preference panel. My main point: Try all the viewers, find the one that's right for you. The side benefit may also affect your performance (Everyone will experience different, though for myself I am getting easily twice, sometimes three times the performance over Firestorm by using Catznip. Kokua is about the same, LL Viewer seems better, though not where Catznip is. Fo me.)
  16. I like reading your walls of text (I do, you have great insight; albeit sometimes more verbose than necessary.) I quote this portion because it's not just Bellissera with this. I won't go into details other than to state that I don't 'wilt" when I see this stuff, I hold my nose, pointing and laughing. Though the main gist of my comment is to say this: The homes make all look the same with limited variety, though the bigger draw, I believe, is the Covenant rules and their enforcement by the Big Kahuna Gods of the virtual world. Then also that it's "free" land; even on mainland, you have to spend $L to obtain it. It's also very well designed as far as the aesthetics go. So why not grab an LL Home, have a decent "view" all the way around, spend only 0%-10% of your in-world time there? - it's a no-brainer grab-and-forget and the ability to say "I own a 2019 LL Home." - Not much more than that. As for "communities" - most across the grid generally tend to be cliquish in most places, and one often feels like a fifth-wheel outsider, almost as though intruding (especially with afore-mentioned clubs, etc.) What Bellisseria does is to give people something greatly in-common with each other, and nothing else really trumps that.

    White avatars

OH! So that's the trick! I'll have to remember that so I can get some awesome snapshots of how silly some people's wardrobes can be. I mean, can you just imagine what can be done in Affinity Photo with those white areas? (Oh, and Affinity Photo = stunning Photoshop replacement)
  18. Yes it's this, mostly because they have the mistaken impression that parcel/place traffic is actually relevant (it's not.) For myself, I shop MP and that's it. If it's not on a merchant's MP store then I'll just skip it. Even if I see something that only has a demo at their in-world store I will very, very rarely actually go to their in-world location to grab a demo (and that's fine, the other way around is against MP TOS: Having a demo on MP but not the full-price version). I figure anything and everything we buy in SL is 100% elective and discretional-spending. So I have trained myself that if something grabs my eye and I cannot snag it on impulse then I'll skip it and the impulse fades quickly. I'm deleting items from my favorites list more often than actually going back and purchasing. Because scrutinization is your safety-net. 🧐
  19. Proper punctuation places the exclamation point before the questions mark. ~snorts~
  20. If you want yes-transfer and no-copy, then just turn off copy. Transfer will be checked but dimmed - the item will be yes-transfer, no-copy. Modify stands alone and is not affected by and neither does it affect copy versus transfer.

    Body shine

On the Female HUDs that portion is in the SKIN tab: you have two sliders: one for materials and the other for "Gloss".
