The really weird part was that I got another house right away, far away on the other side of Bellisseria. While I was looking it over. that same woman showed up in the street right outside my new house. I suppose she was playing catch and release, too, but it felt odd at the time. Same! With the very first home I got, I arrived and someone who had already abandoned was still hanging around there. She did not leave! So then I abandoned it too because I didn't want a home that came with a creepy woman in the yard. lol

Since LL's office hours just now started for the day, that may explain the delay.

I think it's more luck than anything else, and luck is random. For any of us, it's a matter of being there at the right time, not being there ALL the time. I have a very busy, full time job in RL myself, and it only took a few days of very occasional refreshing to score a houseboat; my point being that it really doesn't require babysitting a browser all day. Without having actual knowledge one way or the other, I'd be willing to bet that many current homeowners in Bellisseria are busy in RL as well. But yes, it is what it is. Everyone will get a home, it just won't be right now is all.

I sure hope people aren't coming to the forums thinking that other residents CAN take care of LL-related issues. You comment here, you will most likely get replies. That's how forums work. Whether or not you like the replies is a whole other story. At any rate, the process functions exactly the same for all of us, which is pretty much the definition of "fair".

One way to possibly find the item is to join the store's group (assuming there is one), and check group notices for one regarding this event. You might find a LM to take you right to their Shop and Hop display. Or maybe message the creator? (Or tell us the name of the shop... I'm about to head back over and can keep an eye out for it...)

If it is just a rental, meaning you did not purchase the parcel itself, then you shouldn't have a problem. Check your parcel and see who is listed as the owner. If it's you, or a group that you donated some or all of your tier to, you will need to still have enough additional land allowance free to be able to claim a Linden home. ETA: If you don't have enough land allowance free, I'm pretty sure the system won't let you snag a home in the first place. So if you still have the option on your Dashboard to claim a home, I think you are in good shape.

I don't think I even bothered to go to SLB last year. SL10B was great though, and the History Walk was inspiration for the creation of the Bay City History Pavilion a few years later.

Your meaning was clear, and you did not say anything wrong. Some people have extreme anger issues.

Tapestry of Time is so much fun! I had pretty much forgotten many of the events they have listed, and I enjoyed seeing a few folks that I know in some of the photos, too.

Same! I avoid using it at all costs (luckily, I do not feel the need to use weapons).

You really do not need to stalk the forums, since you can just click the "follow" button on Patch's update thread here, and/or change your settings to get notifications from the SL blog, to have notices of updates delivered to your email.
