  1. I can't get to the photos from my work location, so can't see them at the moment. When you say "it doesn't help", are you talking about the reduction in your draw distance or the playing with your bandwidth settings or both?
  2. And whether the seller changed redelivery systems since you bought the item. Another possible cause - if the item was bought via some sort of promo that didn't use the vendor system or was a group/hunt gift. Basically the redelivery system can only redeliver whatever was originally bought via that same system before. This is why, for some items that I consider to be a bit more important, I keep a copy of the original box.
  3. This is the correct answer. And the vast majority of the time, it is something within the network that causes the rezzing delays.
  4. Sometimes I really hate the internet. When I click play: Had to go search a copy that I could play.
  5. Yeah, I don't really like Google either, but I can't seem to get all pages to run in Firefox. Never heard of Cliqz, so will check that one out.
  6. I've never experienced that one - though have often bought a full cart of nothing but L$0 items. I only use Chrome or Firefox on the Windows PC - don't like the Microsoft Edge browser.
  7. As Cindy's article mentions, it is a "rolling" 24 hour period. However, the initial limit will increase a bit every few days or so until you hit the 30 day mark and then the limit will set to the default max.
  8. My problem is that I wake up every 1-2 hours all night long. I usually go right back to sleep, but it is still very disruptive and not conducive to a good night of sleep.

You obviously didn't see The Vampire Diaries - that is where I learned that there is a cure to vampirism.
  10. Ditto - I end up back at the home page when I click on the 'get demo version' link for that specific item. I've always assumed that it meant the demo for the item wasn't really available, despite the link.
  11. The person owns another 5504 on the other side of the sim - a bit west of the plot for sale on that sim http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kanaloa/93/131/55
  12. On the item page, you clicked 'add to cart'? Then upper right, click on your cart. On that page click 'check out'. Now, unless there is something in your cart that costs more than L$0, you will have to scroll down to the bottom of the next page -- LL likes to hide this below tons of ads for other stuff unless you are buying stuff for more than L$0. The bottom of the page should then have the 'place your order' button. Is that where the button is missing or do you not get that far or ?? Note that clicking 'buy now' on an L$0 item will also take you to that page full of ads and you have to scroll to the bottom.
  13. This is one of the reasons I prefer mainland ownership with my tier paid directly to LL. I don't want to HAVE to log on weekly or monthly to pay someone else just to ensure my land is still there when I return - and paying someone other than LL isn't really a full guarantee anyway since they could up and leave.
  14. First thing I'd do is drop that down drastically. A sim is 512 m. If you are at a sim edge, you are telling the viewer to draw 2 sims worth of stuff for you. I typically run with a setting around 128m, adjusting based on where I'm at and what I'm trying to see. You can also play around with increasing this a bit (a little at a time, depending on what the above draw distance changes give you). I think average setting is more like 1000, with a recommended max of 1500. I think mine is currently at 1200.
  15. That would imply that your connection is playing a role in the problem - or possibly, if 'back home' is a different computer, then the computer or viewer settings there. Maybe post viewer help info -- Help / About in the viewer. That will tell us a bit about your system and settings.
  16. It means that the CI - Avatar Complexity Index?? (not sure what the I stands for) - of one of the mentioned heads apparently is roughly 48,000 The complexity value is supposedly a number that indicates how much of a load your entire avatar (all clothing and such) is having on the viewer - thus how much you are impacting other people when you come into their view. It is a quite controversy measure, but we don't really have anything else to go by right now. Anyway, most folks shoot for keeping the value under 100,000 and many try for keeping it under 50,000. Those numbers can be hard to hit if your head alone is eating up 48,000 of the value.
  17. I actually remember reading that too, but there are forum posters that will dispute it. There are at least 2 that I remember that have specifically said that they have downgraded and gone back to basic a few times over the years - most recently just last year - and they still get the L$500 stipend when they go back to Premium.
  18. So, to summarize the possible problems: - Mesh feet are not actually attached, thus trying to fit them to standard classic feet - Wrong brand of mesh feet being used - Wrong height on mesh feet -- feet are 'flat' when they need to be Mid or High
  19. We've actually had people state here in the forums that they experienced it differently if their account is old enough for the higher stipend. However, what seems to be unclear - or maybe not consistent - is whether they only get the higher amount if they were premium before and left it for a while or if first time to premium gets the higher amounts. For first-time premiums, we've heard it both ways, so not sure.
  20. This ^^. An increase in that number is actually one of the few things that I'd be willing to pay a higher fee for.
  21. Now that you mention it, I do remember having to answer the "what city/state did you sign up in" - I only did process credit once in all my years here. Rumor has it that they've recently stopped doing that stupid 'name your friends' stuff (really, how many of us know the exact spelling of those odd names that many choose to have?). I suppose if you are transferring out large amounts and/or doing it often, then they might want some further proof of who you are. I think part of that is so they can decide if there are any IRS filings that have to be done.
  22. It could just be that when you zoom out, you are filling your texture cache with whatever new stuff the viewer tries to rez and then when you come back in close those specific textures have aged out and need to be reloaded. Does it happen everywhere or only places with lots of stuff? If that is the situation, increasing your texture cache (if possible) would help.
  23. I'm so glad that you pulled up a 2.5 year old thread for that wonderful bit of advice.

Correct - the system will not allow you to downgrade as long as you are using tier in any way, via direct land ownership or via donation to a group.
