It sounds like you have an existing group that owns the land and you've both donated your 1024 to the group. Now you want to create a new group and put the land in it. The steps to ensure you don't incur any additional costs and to make sure nobody else buys the land would be: 1) Create the new group 2) Both of you remove your donation from the old group -- groups can be negative on tier for short periods 3) Both of you donate your 1024 to the new group 4) Set the current plot For Sale specifically to one of you - this keeps anyone else from nabbing it 5) That one then activates the New group tag and buy's the land using the "Buy for Group" option - this puts it straight into the group, which has the tier to cover it

If you keep system head but get a mesh body, you'll need a body applier in the matching tone of your chosen skin. If you keep the body and get a mesh head, then the head applier is what needs to be in a matching tone. Your logic makes sense, though it might have helped some to have mention in the blog posting that it was an Adult location and if their settings did not typically allow such that they would need to do a short modification - and assure them they would not come in contact with any truly adult content. Those that still lack some SL knowledge, might not even consider the content ratings setting in the preferences (like the OP) and just keep assuming there is a problem with the region all the way up until they ran out of time to get the gift.

Did the land by chance belong to a group and you took it back from the group before you sold it? If that happened and the steps did not all happen in the correct order, then you can end up incurring tier fees. As to the "next billing date" - my guess is that is simply when LL will attempt to get the $7 again, since it is the same "day" as the August date that you were just billed (tier is collected monthly). If you sell some L$, then that will wipe out the $7 due, otherwise LL would try to use a billing method again on that date.

Newbie ones

It is not set to auto-unpack, so you'll need to drag it from inventory to the ground -- use a sandbox, if you don't have another location that will let you do that. Then right click it and select Open and in the popup window "copy to inventory" and you'll get a new folder from it. Oh and Guy Linden is one of the true LL folks, so he has God powers and can go anywhere and do anything.

Sometimes even the adults in SL don't want to go to the Moderate or Adult sims, thus the setting where you can set what you want to have access to. Since all here are supposed to be adults, I think the setting is just to keep people from accidentally going to an adult sim if they don't want to do so.

Let's try @Patch Linden and/or @Keira Linden and/or @Alexa Linden. Surely one of those will be monitoring things.

While sim content can definitely play a role in lag, if you are consistently getting low FPS everywhere, then it i more likely due to your internet, unfortunately. You can pull up the stats monitor -- Ctrl+Shift+1 and see what your ping time is like. That display will also show you some info about sim actions/events, but it isn't really obvious as to what specifically to look for. If you are using Firestorm, you can click the ? at the top of that window and it will pop up a help browser telling you about some of the fields - which might give you an indication of what to look for that might be adding to your issues. I just went back to the location and it really is Adult, but that means LL has specifically (maybe unintentionally) excluded everyone that doesn't have their settings at Adult. That just seems a bit odd to me for something like the birthday hunt. @HarleyQ420 - Open your preferences and on the General tab, check your content settings to ensure you are set for Adult.

I understand the sentiment, but SL can require much more from a computer than any other computer usage, including any other games - and laptops are notorious for having heat issues under heavy graphics usage simply because they just can't have as much cooling as a desktop.

The bandwidth is irrelevant for my problem but it's already set to 1000 kbps. The advanced lighting is already disabled with minimum settings. If you'll notice, my comment was specific to your SL Viewer settings, which the picture shows as below: You might be right - it might be time to make a purchase.

One additional note -- If that back debt is not cleared (not sure of the timeline, but likely only 30-60 days), you account will be locked until you pay it.
