Sometimes I think the newer folks have it easier. They didn't spend months/years making their classic head just perfect and then spend many more years looking at that face - thus wanting a mesh head that pretty much looks the same, just smoother.

@Patch Linden - Now here's an idea for coming up with those last name lists:

The dot may have come about when web profiles came about because spaces don't work well in URLs. There may also be viewers that only have a single login name field and want a dot instead of a space - I'm drawing a fuzzy there, but something like that sounds vaguely familiar. I did create a display name for one of my alts once, but that was just for testing something related to display names. I've always been happy enough with my name and group tag.

I also heard that LL found it very time consuming to create the lists -- ensuring there was an adequate supply of new names that were not offensive.

If the payment method is a credit card, it is possible that the card company questioned it. If so, you'd likely get some sort of alert from the card company. Another thing to check -- double verify that you entered the payment info accurately.

I've currently got a total of 8 accounts using the same payment method. Supposedly you can only have 5 accounts per email. Mine are spread across a few emails, so I'm not sure if that limit is still there or not.

/me votes for 8/10 - I'll be out of town on 8/3 with a laptop that can only barely log in to SL

Posting this in a couple of places (yes, I know, my bad) Gadget Portal has made us a HUD for the Hangout. If someone wearing the HUD arrives at the Hangout, then anyone else with the HUD will be notified that someone is there. It does not give any names, it just turns green to indicate that someone with the HUD is there. Maybe this will help with more spontaneous gatherings. Well, every pair of "normal" jeans that I have is only in Mid and/or High feet. Everything that I have that is Flat feet is either a skinny jean or bell bottoms or torn jeans or has some sort of design on it. Figures.......

I think she was using the European meaning of holiday that equates to our 'vacation' term. Summer is consider the vacation season (or 'holiday' season, as they say it).

I have found this problem in hunts much more frequently lately. The hunt website gives a SLURL that ends up not being valid. I then search on store name (assuming it is a hunt that tells you the name of the store - not all of them do) and try to use the associated TP which also is not always valid. I then try to find an associated store group so that I can get the Owner's name and check their profile. Many do not have their own store as a Pick or a SLURL in their profile comments - this totally amazes me. If the store group is free join, I'll try that and see if there are any notices with the store LM. Sometimes I'll also search MP for the store to see if there is a valid link there. I am truly surprised at the number of times lately when none of that will give me a valid location.
