Note that your issue is almost always a connection issue of some type. Just because your internet works fine elsewhere does not mean it is working okay for SL. After you get logged in, press Ctrl+Shift+1 to open up the statistics bar. Check to see what your Ping time is showing as well as your Packet Loss. Post that info here - screen shot or something.

On the log in screen, it typically defaults to "My home" or 'My last location". Highlight that and type a specific region name - like Smith:

Ditto. Apparently I suck at taking any sort of self portraits. I probably tossed a dozen or so at it with my highest score being 87.7% and almost all of the rest being less than 30%. I do slightly better with landscape shots. Out of about a dozen of those, I got 2 in the 90s and quite a few in the 70s and 80s. My best one from everything I threw at it is a lighthouse picture that scored 97.7:

You can just not sign up for the LL home - it is not a requirement of Premium to take the house. Then find a piece of Mainland that you like -- either one for sale or abandoned. If for sale, buy it. If abandoned, put in a Support ticket asking LL for it - normally, if they approve, they'll sell it to you for L$1 per sqm. Anything you own on the Mainland you can sell later if you want.

Not only how I look today, but how I've looked for the last few days. I'm guessing either your Premium recently expired -- or maybe is still in that 'downgrading' status - and the Land Holdings page just hasn't quite caught up. Or the Land Holdings page has a bug - which in and of itself wouldn't actually be a big surprise. In any case, No, given your current status you cannot go buy any Mainland. When Garnet mentions buying on a Private Estate, just be aware that you are not truly 'buying' - as in you would not really be the "owner" in the eyes of LL. You would actually be paying rent to the true owner, though you usually would get close to full owner permissions on said land.

I'm confused. If you stopped paying, then you are either fully Basic now and thus cannot own any mainland or your account is in the process of downgrading to basic (to be completed at the end of the currently paid premium timeframe) and you still cannot own land - and I have no clue what a status of "payment data informed" means. I also don't know what the page would show as "available" if you are in a downgrade status, but if you are in that status the system would not really let you buy any mainland. What does your Account Summary page say? i.e. Mine:

While your post that I quoted was just shy of 2 days ago, it was only one page back on my browser and a total of only 9 posts prior to my response post -- so really not that old in the grand scheme of things. Hell, around these forums, it is not uncommon for anything within the current week to be considered "current".

Only in some people's eyes. As to these forums, I'd say it only seems toxic to those that don't get agreement with everything they say here. As to inworld, I don't run in to hardly anyone that thinks the people in SL are toxic. My guess is because those that truly thought that way and actually cared simply left SL. Why would anyone continue to expose themselves to a situation that is highly toxic everywhere they go. Any sane person would remove themselves from such.

Sorry, but you cannot. However, LL is working on creating 1024 sqm houses which will give you more overall space and more LI. We don't have a date yet - we just know that they are doing it.

I have very little imagination and no creativity skills whatsoever, thus my favorite part of DragonCon is simply sitting at the hotel bar, sipping on whatever my latest fancy is, and watching everyone wander by. True, but if I have a card with 8 GB on it, it might help SL to have more then 2 GB. I could give SL 4 and still have 4 for everything else.

You just need to not care that Joe Blow knows when you are online or not. Block/Mute them and continue with your own SLife. I actually have one of those Av Detectors rezzed on my land with the name of all of my accounts in it. One method in helping me to know if anyone else has managed to get access to any of my accounts.
