  1. It is probably a carry over from RL. If you frequent nightclubs you aren't going to see men dancing with other men. You will however see girls dancing with other girls. Why don't they? Who knows ... Does it matter?
  2. Don't you worry Phil, I am sure at some point someone will chime in with their altruistically negative perspective and claim that SL is dying, and that LL is doing nothing about it. Perhaps it will be a comment like "too little, too late" ... lmao This is really exciting news!
  3. Once I used the updated head and eye AO, the issue was resolved. It sounds like it might be an animation priority issue of some kind, but I am not entirely sure. At this point, I'd suggest contacting the creator. Her name is Sanya Bilvaio. Perhaps she might know what is causing your issue. I am pretty disappointed with all of the issues and some of the general features it lacks. It is a beautiful face however.
  4. I joined it. I am super picky about hair, but for 350L, it is a deal! I like that he sends out the demo for event product. Definitely a nice touch there.
  5. They do a free FATPACK once a month!? Christ, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing! <3
  6. It sounds like it was an open gate community being there was no security system in place. For those wanting any form of privacy, it isn't going to be there. lol If you ever decide to rent again, I think my landlord has some open spaces. It is a quiet community, no lag, and never had any issues with griefing whatsoever. The landlord is responsive and accommodating. Feel free to hit me up in world and I can pass along his info if you want.
  7. Some hair vendors do structure the hair in a way that would create an effect of a hairline but nothing to that extreme that I am aware of.
  8. You didn't have to buy anything. The Maitreya HUD (included with your body) has a "hide/show" option as well as a "clear all layers" button to remove all appliers.
  9. Who is this " Swedish dude?" ... Is he another tenant on the sim, a friend of your landlord? I am really confused why there was no security on the property. Was it a shared space situation, or what Chic described? Typically you should have abilities to govern who has access to your lot. Most landlords provide a security system, so you as the tenant, can decide who has access to your property. Generally speaking, tenants do not have the ability to ban people, only to eject. Banning would typically involve the landlord. If it is a shared space situation, or community housing, you of course will be limited in what abilities you have. I'd say that was very generous that she offered you the money back. Many might not be so gracious. Unless it was a requirement, I wouldn't pay out the month, but instead go week to week to see if I was happy with the space before committing to an extended period of time.
  10. @MissSophie MennaI haven't experienced anything like that with my Fiore Bento head, but I'm wondering if there is something you're wearing that is really high in complexity that could be potentially causing the issue. I've experienced this even with my Catwa head. I'd suggest stripping down your avi (remove piercings, hair, tattoo's, etc), clear cache, and then relog into a quiet sim. See if the issue still persists. @Mysti Nowles The last update Fiore did on the head should have resolved the issue you're describing. If you're sure you have the latest version (version 1.4), take a look at the HUD. Outside of "eye lock" there is I believe an eye AO button that should fix the issue. I am not in world at the moment to check, but as I remember there was an additional button I used to correct the issue. Sorry for not being a bit more specific, but it isn't my main head.
  11. I'd disagree. It is entirely possible to keep your frame thin, be in proportion and if you wanted, add some thickness in there. Doing so requires more then modifying body fat, and thickness sliders.
  12. The head looks like a Lelutka model, but I am not 100% certain.
  13. Curio came back in 2014 after that DMCA debacle and never fully recovered. The lack of appliers, and same approach to to the business which had evolved since her departure was just the nail in the coffin. It really is unfortunate. I had owned a few of her skins previously, but I wasn't about to ditch my mesh body and head to wear them again.
  14. Of course, nobody is going to say that to their face, but deep down inside we're dying to say it lol.
  15. Sitting there, biting your tongue, trying to keep a smile on your face as a customer blames their oversight and incompetence on you. The response to that can only be. -hugs Chic-
  16. For years, people pleaded and begged LL to do it, but that was long before this market had matured. That need has been met by the community, in spades. Now, when you want to go mesh, you look for a community made product, which is the way it should be.
  17. That's really terrible. I have heard of this kind of thing happening before, and it is the reason why I refuse to pay months of rent in advance. Most landlords offer a discount for paying a month at time, but in most cases that's as far as I'll go. The risk is just not worth it IMO. Put in a support ticket, and don't delay. If you know anyone else from the sim, reach out, and encourage them to do the same. Keep us posted!
  18. Buyers need to do their due diligence and with all of the resources available these days, a little effort can go a long way into making a better informed decision. I am not just talking about the little nuisances we may experience after the fact, but rather those large glaring issues (like the ones you described) that could have been easily avoided had that person done their homework. New residents should be doing just that. Getting their feet wet, not diving head first. God forbid they're required to read something or use their brain. Perhaps they'll find sympathy in their safe spaces. Appliers are no different then skins. The popular mesh mesh bodies include hands and feet, with the exception of SLINK but the cost of their body is reduced to take into account for that (a nice perk for those that already owned their hands and feet previously I might add). Clothing that fits? Ad signs and listings tell you which body the clothing is designed for (simple enough?). The demo packages list the body by name (not simple enough?). All of the major bodies have great product support out of the box, and that is only further enhanced by Omega.
  19. Like Rolig said, there is a chance, but amateurs aren't earning anywhere close 2,000L per shoot. Your success as a photographer is going to be based upon your work (portfolio), your price, reputation and of course the level of exposure you receive. I know some really exceptional photographers that struggle to get business, and it isn't because of their cost, or the quality of their shots, but because very few have seen their work. The market for profile pictures has changed over the last several years with the advent of mesh. Not only are there more resources available today to teach people how to take and edit photos. but the pictures themselves require a lot less editing then they did previously, and as a result, even novice photographers are producing better quality shots. This of course all leads to fewer people having a need or seeing the value in paying for someone to take their photo. Start out small, don't invest a lot of money into it, and build up your portfolio.
  20. Apparently, all the OP needs is a Maitreya body and a CATWA head. What happens when you show up for your casting call and realize everyone else on the grid has one of those too. -insert sarcarm-

    Rules Check

A negative experience would constitute a dispute. That's why posting the details about your encounter on the official forums is not permitted. Like it or not, that is the rule.
  22. Clover is right, the Maitreya body does not have an installer, so you'd have to wear the relay before for the applier to work. For tattoo's and clothing however, you will not be required to wear the relay once it is saved to the applier HUD, unless of course, you clear the HUD.
