  1. I totally agree. Lelutka took a risk and it was a very savvy move on their part. At the same time, Catwa was slow to respond. As a consumer, it is going to take more then hype to entice me to buy in. I need to see that there is product support on the back end or I am not interested.
  2. @ShelbyBeu The vendors go where the money is. Rigging takes time and right now most vendors are already rigging for 3-4 bodies. I would agree with you on the PR piece though. SLINK is an established brand but its reach has waned. Body aside, the marketing for the new bodies looked dated.
  3. I agree with Rowan. The rental prices at your estate are above average. Many of the estates I have looked at or rented from are doing at least a 1-1. I also wanted to add, that I have rarely ever sourced my rental through a listing, or by a random search. More often then not, I will ask a friend who they rent from, and use that as a basis to make further inquiry. Word of mouth is key! I am not sure how many tenants you currently have, but it would be beneficial for you to offer them an incentive on their rent if they can refer a friend to rent at your estate. There should also be discounts for tenants who are paying their rent in advance. Outside of posting ads, I would also suggest networking more. Do you know a lot of people? Do they know the business you're in?
  4. Hi all! I was wondering if anyone knows a place to freeplay Lucky Rainbow? I have seen various other games not in the skill regions because they were freeplay $1 refunded. I used to love doing Lucky Rainbow for fun to pass the time. Anyone know where some are that are not in a skill region? Thanks!
  5. I am well aware of the VR tech backstory. The tech behind it has been improving, but when I say it is a novelty, what I mean is that most people have never even tried VR in any capacity. It is far from mass usage. Maybe in 5-10 years that will be a very different story.
  6. VR is still in its infancy and more of a novelty at this point. So its not a shocker Sansar wasn't going to do well. I'm all about the silver lining but in business terms, it was a failure. I am glad someone was dumb enough to buy it and LL was able to recovery some of the money they wasted on it.
  7. Totally agree Sid. I'm guessing (from experience) that the labs is looking to diversify their income stream because they have reservations about how SL will perform in the years to come. Unfortunately for them, Sansar backfired and never gained any traction.
  8. I'd have to agree with that. I saw BOM as a way of unifying all of these individual products and Lelutka goes ahead and breaks the mold and were right back to square where we were before to some extent.
  9. A demo would be almost an absolute must. Vendor ads in general can be very misleading and seeing a demo gives pieces of mind. If a vendor chooses not to offer a demo, then I can only assume they don’t believe their work is of good quality. The appearance of a shape can change rather drastically based on the skin that is paired with it. So, if you have a demo, you can at least test it with skins you’re thinking of using with it. Without that, it’ll be a shot in the dark.
  10. I uninstalled and that seemed to have helped ...
  11. How can I clear my viewer cache when I can't use anything on my HUD on login?
  12. Hello all I hadn't logged into SL for some time and earlier today I decided to login and say hi to some old friends. Everything seemed fine and then I logged out. Tonight (a few min ago), I tried logging in and I am getting the "there is an issue with your inventory, please logout and if the issue persists contact support" ... (something close to that) Anyone have any ideas what the issue could be? I put in a support ticket but haven't heard back yet. Thanks in advance!
  13. Who else saw the trailer for this and was left feeling completely let down? When I heard Camron was coming on board for this one I had higher hopes. The T2 teaser trailer did more in 30-seconds then this trailer did in 2-3 minutes.
  14. It's not a glitch. You quoted me and then went on a rant and it really had nothing to do with what I said. That's why I am confused.
  15. huh? I am still trying to figure out why I was quoted in this ...
  16. I do, yes. If you'd like to see my comments you're welcome to read my previous posts in this thread.
  17. Yes, thank you. We already knew this. That is exactly why threads like this are so valuable. So buyers can be educated on the product and make a better decision for themselves. Do you own anything TMP? What does this even have to do with what we're talking about?
  18. I don't think you meant to quote me lmao. That was a quote from Alyona Su.
  19. Exactly. Your story sounds a lot like my own. I waited and waited, listened to their promises of updates that never came. Buyers today expect more and know more. Back then there was very little in the way of competition and people took their word at face value. They presented us with a new shiny thing to have and I am sure they've quickly realized that things have changed and people haven't forgotten.
  20. I think that goes without saying though. We are not salespeople for TMP and consumers are entitled to express their opinion of value. What discussions like this do is better arm consumers to make better purchasing decisions. The comparison of TMP to Genus/Genesis Labs is an apples to oranges comparison and for a lot of reasons.
  21. It could be that you have to change your foot position (flat, medium, high). If it still doesn't fit after doing that, then there is a good chance the shoe was rigged without the use of the dev kit. As you know, in the past, we had no other choice but to rely on advertisements to make purchasing decisions. Demos help give peace of mind, and more importantly, it can help to increase sales and even provide an opportunity for a lesser-known vendor to make a sale. It does not come as a surprise to me that I own more FATPACKS from the vendors which offer a FATPACK HUD with their demo.
  22. Initially, it does but you'll find that once you get the basics down it's relatively straightforward. I NEVER EVER want to go back to a time when we couldn't demo clothing. 😁
  23. Do you have an idea of what types of products you want to sell or what market you plan to cater too?
