I tried the C&C, didn't like it much, couldn't get the boobs down to reasonable size (my current motto is 'no Petite, no sale'). It's so sad, all that work for nothing. I can understand how Siddean felt.

I learned so much from Siddean's work. I still keep all my Slink Physique stuff, because it is still the shape I am looking for. And I still think a fully BoM body is the right answer. But, people move on, and I wish Siddean well.

Here's the problem: If you do anything construed as ***** in SL you get tossed out on your ear, you and all your alts, and LL take all your money and you loose everything you may have spent 10 years building. This is a GOOD policy because no one (except sickos) want to encourage ***** abuse. Note there is nothing in the policy about height. The problem for people who run events or own venues is how to make sure they are not caught up in that. So they make daft (but easy to script) rules, like all avatars must be over 1.61 metre's (5'3") tall, or some other arbitrary number. Sorry to say - that's life. I keep a special 1.62m tall shape, just for a place I like to go to that has such a daft rule. The rest of the time I am 1.55m just like RL.

There is a free program that combines two shapes exported as XML files. I use it all the time when I get a new head and want to put it's advertized look onto my body. https://gitlab.com/Captain_Ai/dr-frank-shape-combiner_/-/releases Despite being for Wonkydoos, (.exe), it even works under wine on Linux!

There is a group of sims called 'Naked' that is a nudist colony. If you join the group you can set home there. You save a lot on clothes too.

I have an opinion on this, but it is only my opinion. I think avatars with excessively fat butts or mega-boobs are pig ugly - you can call them 'curvy' if you like. This doesn't mean they aren't fun though, and, yeah, they seem to pull the guys. So I am definitely in the 1.62 m (5'3") high Lara Petite, with a skin that has a few blemishes and wrinkles, camp. Just like me...

It all depends on the 'target' person. Some people just want a quick fix, and just refuse to try and understand - they will never be happy in SL, so I don't waste my time. But it's true that SL is a very complicated place to be creative in, so some people who are genuinely trying to understand can be helped by judicious guidance. Actually, teaching people who want to learn will teach you a lot too.

Y'all know I'm horrible to anything Wonkydoos (The Microsoft product tine), and run Archlinux on my desktop. So you won't be surprised that my email all goes to my end-to-end encrypted Protonmail account (that runs in Switzerland away from prying GCHQ, CIA, СВР РФ, et al.) I use an anonymous re-mailer for most organisations than need an email address, so that they don't even get my 'real' email. But since joining SL predates my paranoia with misgovernment evil (amazingly, coincident with the election of certain ex-authorities, now planning their return), my account email with SL is still the 'real' one. I tend to use Protonmail's web interface, since it's the same on all the devices I use, I have tried Thunderbird, and it's good, but I just find the web works well on my secure-browser.

The old SL head UVmap is now pretty much dead. Everything is going EvoX for heads. If another maker, say Catwa, made another UVmap, I doubt it would succeed, unless they buy the market, and that would be a terrific commercial risk. EvoX won. What we need now is the equivalent for bodies, so the symmetry on the arms and feet can be fixed.

I used to have alts, but now I don't. I used to have a lot of alts to get clothes to fit lots of bodies. Perfectly rational reason, and not pulling any fast ones on anyone.

The opposite analysis would also be interesting. Who is the youngest member of SL calculated as (RL-age minus SL-age). I wonder how many would be less the legal minimum... I know I was, but then I'm a serial age-rule breaker.

I find this topic tricky.... Ups and downs, I guess.

Late to this thread. I am of the opinion (yes, mine, and it's just an opinion) that skin is the most important distinguish-er of avis. Especially Facial Skin. Humans are keyed to faces, this is why seriously unhealthy bulldogs are considered cute... But I digress, I advise everyone to learn how to make a good skin on the face.

I find in SL that I get IMs just AFTER I have decided to tp somewhere else. In RL I get RCs (Real Conversations (tm)) all the time though. I guess my RL avi is just more sexy than the SL one
