You can't. Those advertising pictures are retouched. In 'real SL' (tm) you are at the mercy of the viewer's rendering capability and the selected lighting system. And everyone's viewer is different, so whatever you do, I'll see it different from you.

It's a sad day when proper moderation is taken over by improper automation. Personally I thing the CEO of any outfit that does it should be <expletive deleted> as a warning.

The ONLY good thing that has come out of this thread is the idea of a Maitreya Petite body, and maybe better shoulders. The Belleza thing looks to me like TMP->Legacy Mk2 (and screw you loyal customers). Of course if your fun in SL is in buying new clothes, this is the perfect excuse. And you can play being a fat-butt girl too!

@Coffee Pancakelist seems to cover what is feasible for a cellphone client. (see The Mobile Client I actually want) However, I want to make it clear that not everyone in the world is a cellphone user. I am not. What I want is an SL viewer that allows me to move things (HUDs, menus, etc) to several monitors, so I can keep the central monitor clear of clutter. I don't really care. I only use Maitreya-fit (Lara, Petite, Lucybody), and Slink Physique occasionally. I evaluate each purchase against the 1000's of outfits I already own, and only buy it if it really gives me something I want. So no demo, no sale. I have also added no Petite, no sale recently. It's amazing how terrible some things look on a 5'3" petite.

I have used free ProtonVPN (I have a paid email account with them) recently from UK with the exit node in the US (New York, as it happens). It worked quite well, but then issues started to crop up as I moved about a lot with TP - I put this down to the large amount of data a new region move makes. If you are standing in a 'chat' place for hours it would work I guess, especially with Draw Distance short.

My experience of Humans differs from yours then. I don't see any changes in fundamental behaviour since pre-historic times.

That's actually a fascinating insight. Assume for the moment that we evolved as a species of running killer apes on the plains of north Africa (one of the current theories), running down faster prey by stamina, young males (expendable genetically) doing the last sprinty bit and the actual killing. Then it makes sense for (young) males to develop fast effective comms for that last bit - the battle bit, but the women who followed along had to keep the tribal lore intact... It's my favorite theory, but it is just a theory.

I can do that with Lucybody. And it's free.

The behavioural straits of the sexes come from: their build. It's hard to stand like a guy with my bum and boobs. This is reflected in the AO for the sexes in SL. their upbringing - how you react is a learned response. It's hard to mask this in RL, but really easy in SL where we don't have automatic expressions (yet). their acting ability - ... and, of course, other stuff. I made a few of alts to test some of this out a while ago (I majored in psychology, and it seemed a good idea). A guy alt who wasn't a gorilloid, and I ended up playing him gay, which was too much fun... A big guy, and I used a black skin, just to see the reactions which were scary - and really educated me. So then I made a black female avi, and that was even more scary. I closed the whole exercise down, but it was educational. It has changed my reactions in RL.

Is there a succinct meaning to 'mod' when applied to bodies? I am a long-time Lara user, and also use Lucybody a lot since BoM. But I am thinking that the new Belleza might be good, but only if I can make it fit my huge wardrobe. So what does 'mod' actually get you?

You know 'Reduced price' only saves you money if you would have bought it at full price. Blueberry is quite good, I find, at putting the new sizes into the re-delivery after they release a Saturday Sale item. The Saturday Sale HUDs mostly work on the old regular items too, except some (mostly Lara+Petite ) don't.

I got that too. It went away after the last Firestorm update.

Linden Lab is an American company. That explains everything. Even their TV companies allow violent gun-loaded programming during prime-time, but you need a password to watch anything vaguely sexual. Nuts. But you will not beat it, so stop trying.

It's a mistake to think that just buying a skin, even an overpriced one, will give you a realistic skin, IMO. The best way to do it, again IMO, is find a base skin that you like and then add BoM features - like freckles, blemishes, spots, and other features, in different densities, yourself. That way you will be almost unique. If you do it this way the base skin need not be expensive.
