Y'all know I'm horrible to anything Wonkydoos (The Microsoft product tine), and run Archlinux on my desktop. So you won't be surprised that my email all goes to my end-to-end encrypted Protonmail account (that runs in Switzerland away from prying GCHQ, CIA, СВР РФ, et al.) I use an anonymous re-mailer for most organisations than need an email address, so that they don't even get my 'real' email. But since joining SL predates my paranoia with misgovernment evil (amazingly, coincident with the election of certain ex-authorities, now planning their return), my account email with SL is still the 'real' one. I tend to use Protonmail's web interface, since it's the same on all the devices I use, I have tried Thunderbird, and it's good, but I just find the web works well on my secure-browser.

The old SL head UVmap is now pretty much dead. Everything is going EvoX for heads. If another maker, say Catwa, made another UVmap, I doubt it would succeed, unless they buy the market, and that would be a terrific commercial risk. EvoX won. What we need now is the equivalent for bodies, so the symmetry on the arms and feet can be fixed.

I used to have alts, but now I don't. I used to have a lot of alts to get clothes to fit lots of bodies. Perfectly rational reason, and not pulling any fast ones on anyone.

The opposite analysis would also be interesting. Who is the youngest member of SL calculated as (RL-age minus SL-age). I wonder how many would be less the legal minimum... I know I was, but then I'm a serial age-rule breaker.

I find this topic tricky.... Ups and downs, I guess.

Late to this thread. I am of the opinion (yes, mine, and it's just an opinion) that skin is the most important distinguish-er of avis. Especially Facial Skin. Humans are keyed to faces, this is why seriously unhealthy bulldogs are considered cute... But I digress, I advise everyone to learn how to make a good skin on the face.

I find in SL that I get IMs just AFTER I have decided to tp somewhere else. In RL I get RCs (Real Conversations (tm)) all the time though. I guess my RL avi is just more sexy than the SL one

You can't. Those advertising pictures are retouched. In 'real SL' (tm) you are at the mercy of the viewer's rendering capability and the selected lighting system. And everyone's viewer is different, so whatever you do, I'll see it different from you.

I have a folder in inventory that contains demos of things I'd like, but not at that price, it's called 'Awaits a sale'.

It's a sad day when proper moderation is taken over by improper automation. Personally I thing the CEO of any outfit that does it should be <expletive deleted> as a warning.

The ONLY good thing that has come out of this thread is the idea of a Maitreya Petite body, and maybe better shoulders. The Belleza thing looks to me like TMP->Legacy Mk2 (and screw you loyal customers). Of course if your fun in SL is in buying new clothes, this is the perfect excuse. And you can play being a fat-butt girl too!

@Coffee Pancakelist seems to cover what is feasible for a cellphone client. (see The Mobile Client I actually want) However, I want to make it clear that not everyone in the world is a cellphone user. I am not. What I want is an SL viewer that allows me to move things (HUDs, menus, etc) to several monitors, so I can keep the central monitor clear of clutter. I don't really care. I only use Maitreya-fit (Lara, Petite, Lucybody), and Slink Physique occasionally. I evaluate each purchase against the 1000's of outfits I already own, and only buy it if it really gives me something I want. So no demo, no sale. I have also added no Petite, no sale recently. It's amazing how terrible some things look on a 5'3" petite.

I was sort of thinking of a Dictatorship of Lindens. But then that might be outwith the TOS....

I have used free ProtonVPN (I have a paid email account with them) recently from UK with the exit node in the US (New York, as it happens). It worked quite well, but then issues started to crop up as I moved about a lot with TP - I put this down to the large amount of data a new region move makes. If you are standing in a 'chat' place for hours it would work I guess, especially with Draw Distance short.

My experience of Humans differs from yours then. I don't see any changes in fundamental behaviour since pre-historic times.
