I am pretty sure that I went to an island in SL somewhere, and there was a complete set of Human Proportioning tools rezzed there. But attempts to find it in my inventory, or by searching, both here and in-world have failed. Does anyone remember such a thing, or do I put it down to dementia? (I''m 27...) I know there are tools in MP, but that's not what I am trying to find.

and while we are at it, please include a copy of the Vendor Picture, so I can file the damn thing to show what's in the box.

In a slightly contrary view, I ALWAYS save a copy everything I buy, so I detest stores putting unpacked folders straight into my inventory [Blueberry, for instance]. And I don't buy no-copy things, ever. It just means I have to go somewhere I can rezz a box to pack it. Multiple layers of packing are, however, a pain, especially for a demo.

You know, the electrons will still be there long after we are all dead and gone (in rl). More electrons than if you'd stayed in rl and not opened your sl account... This is why I have 45 alts.

Out in RL, the main 'other factor' is political interest, mostly political bribery. And it is this that drives regulation, not an altruistic notion of quality. As in 'I protect your kids, so you will vote for me', and 'I can't protect your kids, because company X pays my election expenses'. This is why I think SL is quite a pure form of capitalism. Sorry I don't have time for the rest of your post.

Quality, as perceived by the potential customer is a core part of Reputation.

The wonderful thing about capitalism is that it works. (well so long as the misgoverment prevents monopolies etc., from forming) In SL we have a particularly pure form of capitalism with almost full laissez-faire. It is not surprising that those who can't compete start moaning. Nobody ever said that a Capitalist Society is a fun place to compete if you aren't one of the winners. In Capitalism, a winner is defined as someone who has gotten customers and kept them while making a profit. Please note the words Customers, and Kept them. This is what Marketing is all about. So if you are complaining, it's because your marketing is crap. NB Marketing is not about publicity per se, but mostly about reputation. (there is no charge for this wisdom, I give it to you for free, to enhance mine)

My avatar is complete. So I am not looking for skins or things like that. My wardrobe is full, so I am not looking for any more clothes. My best friend (and partner) got Covid and disappeared last year, and has not been seen in-world for months. I'm fed up of men who all look alike and start every conversation 'Hi'.... 'How are you?'.... I go to events if one of the designers of things I like tells me that they released something there - I do not wander, but go straight to it - check it out and then probably don't buy it. I used to bring 100 USD into SL every month, but I have cut it to 25. If it wasn't for the chat....

Well, you might consider a Speedlight account. Then you can turn your avi into a sleeping bot in it's bed while you are out enjoying yourself in RL Covidville. Me, I almost always TP home, but that's it. I have a horror of rezzing in an 'inappropriate' mode of dress or on top of someone else, but I have a habit of forgetting to set 'home' on the viewer before I rez.

Basically, it's a bug in SL. Since no-one has told LL how to fix it yet, they can't. Remember, Linden Lab is responsible for everything, even World War Three.

You are Boris Johnson, and I claim my 5 pounds! I'm a qualified Clinical Psychologist, but I inherited quite a lot, and decided to move into unpaid voluntary work. I am chairperson of a couple of charities too, which I enjoy tremendously.

My experience is that these people are always guys, and always interesting in starting a conversation 'now' for just one thing. And since they want in 'now', they tell me all I want to know.

In the UK we used to have a Census questionnaire every 10 years (so I only got to do one, but I read a lot 'cos Statistics was part of my degree). It used to have an ethnicity question that basically listed the nations of the UK. But then immigration started, and so they added the skin melamine questions too, but at least it always had a 'Prefer not to answer' tick-box! Of course, being a misgovernment census, you were obliged by law to fill it in. Now the misgovernment believes it knows all that stuff from some other source, and said the last census was the last census - which scares me more than filling in the form - but at least we are still a democracy right? Yeah.

The trouble is, we can can refuse to complete the survey, and then the racist-capitalist swine will judge the matter on the opinions of other racist-capitalists.
