  1. I sit here and imagine all the people with painted butt cracks back on display.
  2. OK, I saw your other one, and hmmm, hard toi guess where to put it. Let's do it here and ask the mods to move it You have two options! * You can become premium (which is US$72 a year, but you do get US$60 back, a little "refunded" each week) and then buy 1024 square metres of land on mainland as a one time purchase. From that point you have no more to pay but your premium (which also gets a few more benefits that might interest you) 1024 square meters of land should allow you a small gallery. A good start. If you pick your region well you will have room to grow (for a small extra cost) * You can also rent land from many real estate agents. These might range from US$5.00 and up. If you do this, and rent on a private estate, be very careful of the covenant. Some of them don't allow a shop, some do. Also some will restrict the build you can do. Lastly, either way of the two above, if your art or commisssions include genitals, you may need to restrict yourself to adult only land! So, consider what you want to show people before you make any purchase. If you are going premium you can look at the continent just north of http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Farumier/154/158/51 otherwise, talk to the land's estate agent about your needs. Good luck!
  3. Rather then selectng the entire link set, try select face on the lower of the 2 linked meshes, then apply the texture.
  4. How about this instead? (in explanation: "twink" is gay slang for adorably cute)
  5. From experience, the Lab don't like this. They can put an administrative hold on you and ask you to confirm who you are with faxed copies of legal paperwork. I would suggest you create a support ticket beforehand to make sure they know it is ok with the relative.
  6. Supermarket Operating 101: The day after Easter, start hanging bells and holly. The day after Christmas, put out the Easter eggs.
  7. Try uploading the texture without alpha. There is a long running bug that a body texture with alpha doesn't react well to projected lights. It's most noticable about things like neck shaders, but it also happens on the body if the texture has an alpha channel.
  8. Mm, I missed the first week, so didn't bother from then. A pity, but RL makes it hard for completionists. Quite a few runners of advent calenders at Christmas time are friendly, as a gesture of good will they throw open the calender to everyone on the 26th so people can complete any parts of the collection they missed.
  9. Well, it's my fault for just nomming the files and not doing a ... (wait for it) gitkitten plush 1 file(s) plushed to gitkitten
  10. hehe - best part of SL is talking to people from other countries and finding out they have this to improve on Santa's coal!
  11. Meow!~ I read that as GitKitten! (it really looked like katerchen) gitkitten nom filename.cpp 1 file(s) nommed {+++++--+++++}
  12. It would be far more noob friendly. Age orbs are a shock to that 1 day old avatar who finds themselves "banned", gets upset at the exclusion, and leaves SL forever. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-216168
  13. Burnout is a terrible thing, and something we all feel from time to time. Hopefully Chic's time alone in Sansar will help cure her of this feeling and reinvigorate her creativity. I know we all value her input and all hope she eventually feels happier about SL and the community. When she returns maybe she will see there are still a lot of nice people left in SL Only the derps are left
  14. Soon™ At the first announcement Ebbe was saying EEP, Animesh, Bakes on Mesh, Last Names would be this year, but now in October he seems to be backing away from all this. We know that last names will be quite a bit more restricted then was originally thought (will cost, will be a premium only benefit, choose from a set list) and that it's proving to be more problematic then expected as Marketplace, forums, my.secondlife and in world all need to be changed. It won't be this year. There are some thoughts the SSP continent might be 1024M homes, although from the looks of the roads in place there wouldn't be so many of them unless this 380 or so region continent was duplicated a few times. Again, Ebbe has said in the September town hall meeting that work progresses but won't be this year. Both EEP and Bakes on mesh have needed changes to the simulator code, then the viewer needs to go through the proper test and release process and be picked up by the TPVs. I can't see this happening in two months, especially with Christmas coming. Animesh is closer, maybe that will be the only thing for 2018.
  15. Charities are something far better done in real life with real money and not inside a game with fractions of a micro-transaction and huge overheads eating that away. Individuals and many businesses, especially the largest, will already use donations to reduce their tax liability. But if they do or don't doesn't matter, I believe it is *wrong* to demand others give. That's not what charity is. Charity means you need to put your own money where your mouth is, not demand others do. And not just a piddly percentage on your L$100 micro-transaction. A proper tithe or at least a very generous donation, in real life, to a charity that matters to you. Supporting Médecins Sans Frontières in SL might seem noble, but the money they will get from this is small change, a few pennies from each person, and worse, some people end up thinking that by spending L$1000 they are doing great good and totally absolve themselves from a decent donation in real life. Send Médecins Sans Frontières a large and meaningful donation in real life instead, the money will not be eaten up and the organisation will be able to do far more. I'd rather all this inside SL charity stopped, people shouldn't get warm and fuzzy for a few cents.
  16. Restraints... Training... I wish I was better at YCH searches
  17. They are great observations, but they are better made in the other thread. It's better to make one thread, and only one thread. It keeps the discussion together and in the one place. Otherwise you get people making suggestions in one, and others making suggestions in the other, and never the twain shall meet.
  18. Dwell is 1 point for every minute someone spends in the parcel. They need to be there fo 5 minutes for it to count.
