  1. Yes. They broke it again. https://status.secondlifegrid.net/incidents/v9lgydwdw591 Forum's gonna be busy for a few hours now.
  2. So I was at an impromptu dance party at Campwich Station, and we noticed something lurking in the forest nearby... Top left, circled in red... let's take a closer look... creepy. From his profile: It ended when Mystic ran him over in a freight train, but there was no sign of his remains... ETA: It came back. And now there's no sign of Mystic...
  3. For female hair, my favourites are Magika, Truth and Stealthic. Exile is a worthy mention but IMO is not as realistic as the other three. For male hair I'd say Stealthic and Exile, though its worth checking out Magika and Truth even for male avatars, especially if you like longer hair. Rowan from Magika (a style with a long loose braid at the back) fits male shapes very well.
  4. This isn't due to the viewer, it's due to the object being mesh. The outlining feature does exactly the same thing it does on a prim object; it outlines each face/triangle. It's just that a mesh object has so many more of them. You'd get the same effect if you had a prim object that was made up of 4,000 prims (if anyone had the land capacity to rez such a thing).
  5. No idea why, but I've had this song stuck in my head all day.
  6. The best part for me is the ability to use system alphas. That's opened up a lot of classic/standard size mesh clothing that doesn't work with the hud alpha cuts. It makes saving outfits much easier too. Just toss a system alpha in there instead of messing with save slots and "usb sticks". Although I do wish that a foot alpha would hide the toenails too...
  7. There are four crucial items that you must always wear; a shape, system skin, system eyes and system hairbase. Change all four of those things. The cause is usually that one of them is broken or missing.
  8. I'm starting to wonder if you have some kind of sponsorship deal with Heineken...
  9. Good idea. I am feeling kinda sick all of a sudden. *reaches for the Tums*
  10. No. But the kind of clubs I frequent are ones where fun, friendship and good music are more important than money.
  11. There's only one person in this thread with an attitude problem and it sure ain't Alyona. Or Garnet. Or Syo. Or Bitsy. Or me. It might be Orwar but we always knew that anyway, and we like him regardless.
  12. The annoying thing was that Blizzard did their maintenance shut-down on World of Warcraft on the same day, at the same time. 😡
  13. Yes. Creating such a system layer would make it a system layer created by you, not by the original creator of the texture. It would also be a full-perm system layer, as is normal with assets created by you. This would circumvent whatever permissions the original creator intended, which are usually no-transfer.
  14. I dont read blogs at all, and I only watch SL related videos if I need a tutorial on something. The last time I watched one was a few months ago, about BOM.
  15. I think it can; I've used it on occasions when I've been dancing on someone else's HUD (not a rezzed dance machine) and forgotten to stop before teleporting home. Whether it works with all such huds I couldn't say, but it definitely works on some of them. No. The in-game report is the only way. Any other method will be ignored. They will also ignore any report where an actual breach of the TOS has not occurred. And discussing methods like this is not a breach. Building such a tool isn't a breach. Even building it and using it as a demonstration isn't a breach. It's only a breach if the tool is built and actually used to grief people. So yes, filing an AR at this stage would be "terribly worthless". You'll have to wait until you witness these people actually doing something that breaks the rules.
  16. That reminds me of the olden days when everything was down while the gorillas "bang on things".
  17. My system is almost the same as Alyona; same cpu, same ram, but my graphics card is not quite as good, nVidea 960 I think. Can't check right now cos I am not at home. And Black Dragon works just fine, certainly no worse than Firestorm in Ultra, even with most of the graphics options turned way up. I haven't noticed any texture thrashing in either viewer and fps is not much different between the two. However I wouldn't want to go to a busy club with BD any more than I would do in Firestorm at Ultra graphics, and BD won't be my main viewer while there is no inbuilt AO.
  18. Ladybugs? We definitely need pics. And a list of everything in your "worn" list.
  19. Me with two new accessories I seem to be wearing all the time at home now...
  20. I used to do that, except I'd stop playing them after lvl 90 because I couldn't stand Warlords of Draenor. I did finish it once, and swore never again, and never went further. I had a Blood Elf in every class, and at least one toon of every other Horde race (except Undead, I can't stand those either), and a handful of Alliance ones too, mostly range DPSers of one sort or another.
  21. Legacy content fits Ruth/Roth2.0 anyway, as its BOM-enabled, and uses alpha layers instead of a hud, and it can fit standard sizes in mesh clothes as easily as the classic avatar does. So even if Ruth/Roth2.0 were included with the default starter avatars, nothing prior becomes obsolete.
  22. On the other issue of being unable to detach an attachment, this is an indication of a "ghosted" attachment, which is actually really detached, its just that your viewer hasn't registered the fact. I see it most often with huds. The solution is to relog, it will be gone when you log back in. If it isn't, and you still can't detach it, you will need to file a support ticket.
