  1. I've reached a point where when I buy something, I'll right-click/edit the vendor to see what system they use. If they don't have use a system that has redelivery I don't buy the item. It's not fool-proof, as we've seen previous vendor systems vanish before, but I'd like to think Casper Vend will be around a long time. Any store owner/creator who can't be arsed to provide good customer service will not get my money a second time. Luckily, the problem I had last week with color HUDs in jewelry was repaired quickly, and I received the working replacements in a timely fashion.
  2. It's not so much types of things I buy more frequently as it is the stores/creators themselves. If one of my favorite stores puts out something new, I'm likely to buy it. Basically anything Ison puts out for sale, especially if it's out for FLF or TSS. Harry Hyx owns my bank account in world because he puts out original mesh in a classic style that's just a tiny bit sexy without going overboard. I used to be terrible about buying hair, but I've made it a rule to only buy new hairs if they look nothing like something I already have. Magika has been getting most of my hair money this year. Jewelry. Kunglers is to jewelry what Ison is to clothing in my inventory. I no longer buy a lot of furniture and plants. Nobody comes to my house to see my decor and garden, so I don't change up very often. I've also cut back on makeup purchases, as I've got plenty, and it all starts looking the same.
  3. She sent me replacement copies of the items, but I'm still getting those error messages. What I can't understand is how these pieces are working for the creator, but not for anyone else? I would assume that now that she's aware of the problem she's putting them on and testing them on herself? How would a script act differently between two separate avis? Surely I can't be the only one having these problems? I've never heard of a script failing because a creator uses one viewer and the customer uses another (like the SL client vs Firestorm). The *BoSH* resizing script in the jewelry itself IS working, but the scripts that communicate between color HUD and jewelry is where the problem is.
  4. Peeve: Creators/stores who do not thoroughly quality test their items, including HUDs, before putting them out for sale. I'm disguising the store and item names below just to show the messages I get when I click on the color HUDs for two separate pieces of jewelry. [09:08] xxxxxx - xxxxx Earrings [Gold] [L]: ATTENTION: This object not genuie, you should contact to object creator [09:08] xxxxxx - xxxxx Set HUD: ATTENTION: This object not genuie, you should contact to object creator I've been in SL since 2008 and I've never seen a scripting error like this. Genuine? The items are what I paid for, as I'm looking at them in world, so how are they NOT genuine? Scripters, any idea what this is about? They are *BoSH* scripts fwiw. Oddly enough, if I detach the HUD and put it back on, I then can't even click on it. I've also done redelivery. Same issue. And yes, I have contacted the creator. This is just happening more and more frequently and is highly aggravating.
  5. I can't speak for all of SL, but I can definitely say I'm less social. I'm a terrible introvert, so I rarely get chatty in IMs. Sometimes if a stranger IMs me, I kind of panic and log off because I'm just not in the mood for sussing out someone's motivations for IMing me in the first place. If it's a simple compliment with no intentions of trying to pixel sex me, I will thank the person and move on. I hang out at a club on weekends where people tend to be chatty in text, not just gesturbating. I'll talk then if a topic comes up that interests me. I like to be a comedian when the opportunity presents itself. I've had a couple people there send friends requests which I accepted because they're regulars too, but I tend to think people are busy so I don't want to bother them outside the club. It's very rare that I will send a friend request, especially to male avatars as I don't want to give any impression that I'm looking for romance/sex. I just like group chat more than individual chat, so I don't have to try to carry the conversation.
  6. For those still using Belleza Isis, Venus, and Freya, Hilly Haalan is having an 88L sale this weekend and quite a few of the items come in those sizes. More are in Freya than the other two, but they're worth a look. All of Hilly's outfits come with large color HUDs, so it's a bargain. Some of them also offer a size M for classic bodies too.
  7. I have 180. Only 3-4 are objects. One of them was in Belli when I had a neighbor who left their piano running 24/7 and didn't restrict sound to their parcel. My blocked avatars list consists mostly of: 1) People who have behaved poorly directly toward me in IMs or local chat, mostly thirsty males. 2) Gesturbators and poofers 3) People who, while in stores or shopping events, use annoying sounds like cigarette lighters, spankers, and probably the most annoying ones are the orgasming ones. I don't go to stores to listen to a lighter click on every 30 seconds. If you're smoking cigarettes like that, be sure to buy an oxygen tank to be realistic. I also don't go to stores to listen to people spank, moan, or orgasm. Leave that crap at home or at sex clubs. I'd say at least half of that 180 is from this category. 4) Griefers. Thankfully I haven't seen many of those lately.
  8. I've sometimes had to turn off my AO to sit properly.
  9. Then I would probably recommend Avalon. Almost all Glam Affair skins come out with a vendor picture made on Avalon, so it's the most versatile of the bunch. I've used it with different skins/tones and I can easily make her look different when my mood changes. That Rory skin in the photo above is on the Avalon head.
  10. Glam Affair has a skin at Uber right now (named Roxy) that's a reasonably good match. The ad shows it on Avalon, but their skins are supposed to match all of Lelutka's EvoX heads.
  11. A club I visit has this little stick figure that wanders around and will talk to people who talk to it. It has mentioned that it uses machine learning, but I really don't know much about it or who created it. It's called Mr. Sticky, but google-fu failed me in finding anything about it. All I found were sticky buns. 😜
  12. This would be ok, but I'd prefer that they eliminate forcing me to listen to uwu babygirls orgasming and/or being spanked and then orgasming first.
  13. In addition to BOM underwear, some stores offer modesty layers (Izzie's is one of them,, I believe) that tint out nips and crotch. They come in multiple skin tones and can be tinted. I usually wear those. Anyone derendering my clothing is just going to see a Barbie doll. I don't like see-through clothing so if I end up with an outfit that is slightly transparent, I will wear the modesty layers. And y'know what? Perverts in SL are going to jack off regardless of whether they have people nakie on their screens. I'm pretty sure there are some who have a kink for nipple-less avis. Heck, there might even me some who have jelly doll fetishes. If they're willing to work that hard for their jollies, I don't care.
  14. Are you running a laptop with onboard graphics (like Intel's chipset)? I found it virtually (bad pun) impossible to run SL's client and Firestorm using onboard graphics. I had to have a dedicated graphics card to be able to hang out in world for any length of time. Even a screaming desktop PC that can handle the most intensive graphics demands the big video games require struggle with SL's viewer. It's just the nature of the beast.
  15. In short, the lesson I've learned is that it sucks trying to dress a male in SL on the cheap while still looking professional. Most of the weekend sales are nothing but sweatpants (with built-in bulges), t-shirts, shorts, and things specifically created for gay men. It's difficult enough finding men's clothing in SL at full price. Forget bargains.
  16. This is my main and original account. I have one male alt that I created just to see what it was like to create a male avi in world, and I tried to use freebies and cheapies to kit him out. I have 4 other girl alts who were intended to be freebie only girls, but the newest one wound up becoming premium so I could score a stilt on pier that I wanted desperately, but I wanted to keep my waterfront Vic too on my main. Stilt girl is now a bank account of sorts. The other 3 rarely come out to play unless it's Christmas advent time. I try to put each of them in a different body so I can experience what it is to shop for the bodies I don't have on my main. The bodies were full price, but everything else has been free/cheap. The guy and the other girls don't socialize with anyone.
  17. Monso has a hair specifically made/named for Daenerys. It's several years old, but if you want something built specifically like a Dany hairdo, this is it.
  18. I wouldn't touch anything using blockchain. That's just someone searching for a fool ready to part with their money. Ryan Schultz has discussed these scam virtual worlds on his blog before. They never show video from in world. Eventually, after they've milked it for all its worth, they take the bitcoin and run.
  19. I've had this going on for at least a year,, maybe more. I don't think it's a system catch-up thing, as the amounts are usually NOT the amounts that have been transferred between my main and my alts. The amounts seem random.
  20. I noticed that at least one store offers a gift card that won't pay for a SINGLE item available in their store. This store only sells fatpacks (both at S&H and at the mainstore) so the XXXL offered in the gift card isn't a gift at all. It's a discount card or coupon. I deleted that particular card because I'm not buying a fatpack of anything. A few other stores offer gift credits or cards that will pay for 1.5 items at their regular store prices. I also find that a bit ridiculous. I'd be perfectly fine with the amount of a single item available in the store (if the vast majority of items are say 299L each (random number, not picking a specific store), why offer a gift credit of 400L when there's nothing in the store for 99 or 100L? Just offer a 300L card. The 1L left over is irrelevant). Most of these cards have expiry dates for that amount, so it's not like I can save up my credits for additional items. At least one didn't put an expiry date on their store credit, so kudos to that store. I get it. It's more likely it's just a ploy to get us to spend that extra 100L to get a second item. Doesn't mean I like it though. I return and purchase a lot of things from stores that don't play like this, so in the end they're losing more money than they're gaining because I'm not the only one who has noticed this.
  21. I envy people who can use VR headsets. Every time I've tried, they've made me sick as a dog. I don't know if it's my astigmatism or something else, but my brain refuses to process the incoming visuals, so I get sick as if I were reading in a moving car.
  22. At this point, what I want out of Premium Plus is for them to release Premium Plus. It's curious that they're dragging their feet on this. Either it's going to suck and they know they won't make bank on it or they bit off more than they can chew with what they're planning on offering.
  23. I'm pretty impressed with how well this head matches up to Glam Affair's skins without even having to alter the existing shape I had for Lilly. No post-processing.
  24. I haven't read the entirety of this topic, but I do know there are a few sororities in SL (not affiliated with any real life sororities). I haven't heard much that is positive about them, as they just seem to be like most motorcycle clubs, full of the dramaz. Is Tiny Empires still around? That seriously was as close to a cult as I've ever seen. Some people took it SRSLY and built kingdoms with other players/RP. That was as closed to a MLM as it could be in SL. Then there's the nuisance that is Bloodlines, that got most players banned from some regions for running around biting people willy-nilly.
