  1. AHHHHHH. Most of us missed that (well I don't think that same info is in the LAND TAB Covenant as I just reread that so I guess it depends where folks are getting there info) BUT we have been wondering what a section of the SSP map is ---- it looks very much like a commercial area and YOU may have the missing key there. Good sleuthing.
  2. I just had another thought. Yesterday someone wrote for a redelivery of an item. While she had definitely purchased the item (I did the redelivery for her at the end) she was NOT able to do the redelivery on her own. The page showed that she had purchased and gave her the date but it wouldn't let her redeliver. So there may just be a Marketplace issue at the moment.
  3. I remember the tip jar statement. That is true on other Linden properties. I see that it is not in the current covenant and I also see a new thing that I don't remember being there -- so maybe the covenant has changed. It certainly COULD be that the "tip jar" rule was on the Linden Preview Home land tab at the Home Expo (which I read many times) and that was changed when the region opened. Don't no that, just a guess. Maybe someone official can comment. But it wasn't just you. OR it is both of us and we were over in Reality 9757B LOL Edit: I went back to the Linden Homes preview site which was still up not long ago but now I am not allowed into that region. It seems to still be there though. ALSO "I read" the non-commercial as not being able to take money from sales (and tip jars can sometimes be included or not). There are certainly some decorated houses that were set up for commercial purposes, but they aren't SELLING things, just SHOWING things. Would be good I agree to get a more concrete idea on what the covenant was meant to impart.
  4. This actually to the person LittleMe was replying to, but I didn't want to backtrack Folks "advertise" deals and sales and "what I got in XYZ hunt" all the time here. Their posts are seldom deleted. What the rules actually say (this goes for the wiki and sometimes the knowledge base" are not always what is accepted at the current time. I don't know what these comments were in relation to, just pointing that out. It is more about SELF-PROMOTION than naming brands you admire. Of course saying BAD things about brands and creators is a no-no.
  5. Nice memory. Thanks. I had a friend who lived in one of those "back in the day". I imagine it is much the same now. Pretty timeless and definitely not "now"
  6. Copy your purchase history into a SUPPORT TICKET with MARKETPLACE as the choice of topics and ask that things get fixed so that you can review. Plenty of things can happen. Databases are fickle little devils.
  7. For me the mouth position is to high making him look "off" (again, to me LOL). Hair is really tough. I helped a RL friend with a makeover recently. Tweaking the shape was key in this case for what he wanted. I ended up with Exile hair which he liked very much. It all really depends what you want -- and of course what head you are using too. Good luck.
  8. And it seems like that is the plan as Abnor said they were working on new buildings and we have seen new roads being put in over on SSP (as well as some mysterious section :D). So work is going on. I haven't kept up on any "community group" chatter but from what I have read from others, at least one group isn't all that inclusive --- so possibly a certain mindset going on. On the PLUS side of the empty houses, they help with the lag although not tons. :D. It is certainly WAY more important to get more houses out for others than to try and "improve" on the areas that are already built; personally I don't see that happening except for fixing some technical issues.
  9. There was indeed a time before the houseboats made it over to Bellisserria when the SSP ones ALL disappeared (and not just for a little while but days -- maybe someone will remember how many but not I). Then they came back. Abnor Mole said that they had a lot of testing still to do and there was an obvious meeting there at SSP437 this morning -- then apparently over and now two folks there again (or their avatars are camping -- either way green dots).
  10. For those that might be interested I made a list of all the sims and linked to Mole-made content. About a week in the making and with plenty of photographs it will get updated as more regions become filled. And I certainly have a better understanding about the diversity of our new continent. Get out there and explore! Find the page link up top in the sidebar of my blog. If you don't know where that is, Google does
  11. Sure. I now use Corel Painsthop Pro 2019 BUT I am pretty sure that I made my garments using PhotoImpact (now gone sadly). These aren't fancy programs so it seems like other software would have that feature. I can't find anything in Paintshop Pro that would be equivalent and their "warp" has no way to to adjust manually. What Photo impact did was to place a grid (looking much like a UV grid so transparent with lines)on top of your graphic and then you could move little squares at each of the corners to sort of drag the pixels in that area over to where they needed to be. I would assume powerful programs like Photoshop would have something similar. I was trying to find a screenshot of the tool but Google is sending me FAR FAR astray. Hopefully someone will write with info on a more current product. Good luck. I know it is an issue and most fishnet things do NOT match up at the seams. Usually folks make another seam where you would have sewn the fishnet together. So it doesn't need to match. That might be a way to go.
  12. You can use something like the "warp" tool (my software) to move the ends of your fishnet to the appropriate line and match that line on the other side. This is very time consuming and as far as I know, no way to make your new texture into a "template" that could be reused. I HAVE done this LOL but long ago when we all wore texture clothing. It is a tedious job so if you are making it for profit rather than love, it might be more time spent than you want. There may be another way, but I don't know it. Good luck.
  13. I did remove most scripts from my household goods (didn't have many mostly texture change from other creators) I have some no copy items that I can't really take the scripts out of. That being said, I couldn't see any difference in my FPS which has dropped significantly since neighbors decorated :D. Patch also mentioned during the Home Expo exhibit that the regions BORDERING affect FPS as well as the folks in your region. I know there are a few folks on here that know a ton about scripts and effects on viewer and such so hopefully they cam put in some helpful info. I have been visiting every region in Bellisseria lately (a project) and the FPS are all over the map. The EMPTY sims run fantastically, so it is the STUFF for sure. How much of that is scripting I don't know.
  14. Likely you can find some full perm ones very similar on the Marketplace.
  15. Green and red markers have disappeared from SSP "atoll" this morning. Folks working over there or maybe testing.
  16. Materials don't display in the SL uploader. And you need to upload both the model and the textures and apply the textures onto the model inworld. There are some other possible problems that can arise of course -- one being using too many materials (you can have 8). Lots of info for Blender 2.78 and 2.79 in my tutorials. https://www.slartist.com/browse-the-tutorial-chic-videos-1-date.html Also in playlist form on Youtube. Good luck.
  17. Down to seven land impact points - OH MY! But since my parcel is packed to the gills (or fence line) and looking great there are no big worries. I only need decorative clutter in the upstairs bedroom and that will present itself over time. Meanwhile I decided to move the pottery bench and decor into the little guest house or whatever and make a pottery studio. The old pottery area became a 5 o'clock visiting area. All good.
  18. I am going to agree with @Sasy Scarborough that the VERY OBVIOUS gaping whole in SL fashion is "ordinary clothes for men". I have a couple of friends that I was helping update (they are not fashion=wise by any means) and it was REALLY REALLY tough. Cut out the folks that don't make things well and you have a handful of brands to pick from. So, definitely that is a market to look at. If I liked making clothes it would definitely be my target. Also note that in order to GET the bodies that you will need to be able to create for (guys or gals) you pretty much have to run a gauntlet and prove that you are a great creator and are worthy (yep) to get the pack so that you CAN make things. This is reasonable really from the body maker's point of view, but it is a big stumbling block. My suggestion would be to test the waters here slowly and not to give up your "day job" Good luck!
  19. Know at least part of the story but happily wasn't affected even in secondary mode -- at least so far. That being said another person "happily not affected but could have been" had an immediate answer, "that is WHY I have my store on mainland and always have". Sometimes we need to move (up in my case) because of neighbors from hell, but unless LL goes under we are safe. A good point.
  20. Have no clue what this means but I don't think I care either. Enjoy your private island.
  21. Working on a new project I found a sim up north with only THREE houseboats on it. So 3 to 26 seem to be the current range for number of plots per region. Just passing that along.
  22. I know you didn't mention "100 houses" but that number isn't even CLOSE to the number of available plots --- I forgot how many but between 2,000 nad 3,000. Abnor was going to tell us but if that happened I missed it. BUT ---- to your comment above. Wanted to put in here again that Patch did tell us they were going to run out and he also advised that folks NOT leave their current Linden home until they checked the status of the new homes (very much a paraphrase but I am pretty sure I quoted precisely on my NOTES on the talk which should be somewhere in the SSP thread). This was at the radio show presented at the Home and Garden EXPO where the demo houses were shown off first. Granted, very few folks attended that event, but I did and I did report all the salient point here on the forums so that folks reading the forums would know. So while there wasn't a giant blog post to the masses about a need to get your plot in the first hour ---- there WAS information available. And there were houses for a couple of days (houseboats went faster) so it wasn't really that you needed to log in and grab one at the VERY moment they were announced. You didn't even need to be able to log into SL; you could just get one via the website -- so that opens up notebook and phone possibilities away from home. Grab one on your lunch or coffee break. It was easy for the first day. The empty house thing --- it is true that some folks may never put anything in their house OR in the sky and just log in there to change clothes. And yes, they do have that right --- they paid their fees like everyone else. On the plus side they are helping to keep the lag down. I think the bigger issue is for the folks that are looking at "community" and want everyone to take part. Obviously that isn't going to happen, but I can see how empty houses would bother them. I was looking at those houses as interim places for some folks that were waiting to get one of the new houseboats coming up. Probably it is a mix of several things. It will be interesting to see how many empty houses are left after the reroll.
  23. Depends but I have gone over and LOOKED physically where the new place is "supposed to be" LOL and it hasn't been there. I seem to have a a later map that some folks as things get reported here and I don't see them for a few hours. Not sure how all that works. Only one person there now possibly working on flora and rocks and beach umbrellas as the map shows empty sand at the moment. Getting there. Hopefully my guess of "Tuesday" last week will be a good one, but if not we will just wait and see.
