  1. Hey I was just counting green dots over on the new "atoll" at SSP (five folks there now) and I noted something I don't THINK was mentioned about those red and green boxes. If you look closely all the RED boxes are inside 1024 plots next to houseboats while the GREEN dots are in the center of the regions. So it seems LIKELY that the red dots are about houseboat rezzers not working correctly and the ones where they are all working are green. So that doesn't necessarily mean that the REGION is all finished (some have been missing flora for awhile and folks have been working on those empty areas). Not sure why it took me so long to notice that :D.
  2. Looking at this from a sim design point of view, why not add the hot springs INTO the snowy lands? There ARE places like this in the corporeal world. Take away most of the spring look (flowers, mesh grass etc) and find a "snowy early Spring" ground texture for that area of the build. Use STEAM instead of waterfalls and have snow around the hot springs but not close to the steamy water (fitting in with the RL theme). Seems like that approach could work for everyone AND be quite engaging. Good luck. And yes I agree the season change is certainly not against any TOS. We (unfortunately) have dark green dense grass in the middle of the beach sands with trees that would NEVER grow in that climate LOL. We happily also have fences where I live so it isn't so jarring.
  3. Did you try loading into a different region? Just in case, that is typically the first move. Try Plum or Smith for example.
  4. Yes I remembered that but they were just out there for everyone. Bay City also. This seems different but I don't remember reading anything about "use".
  5. I didn't want to start another thread so putting his here. Calling @Abnor Mole with a question that hopefully can be answered easily. I had a friend contact me just now wanting me to send her the texture pack from the Linden Traditional Homes. I said I wasn't sure if that was the plan and that only the folks owning the houses could get the house textures, etc. So my question is, are the house textures just for the home owners are are they for all SL citizens? Long ago some similar textures were given out to anyone who wanted them. But this current method seem more structured. Thanks for any input.
  6. I counted the new ones in the staging marina at SSP, nothing to do with the current number on Bellisseria. No idea there.
  7. I don't like fixed landing points either --- but I currently HAVE one at my shop. This is because I have a TON OF LANDMARKS out going to the ground level and I have moved to the sky (mainland - breedables at groundish level). I also put a BIG "CHIC" silver sign on the ground hoping folks that come from the Places Pages see it and buy the landmark for 0 and get to where they want to be. I will eventually put it back to land everywhere, but for now that is my best solution. It has nothing to do with rezzing (I designed the new shop to rez REALLY quickly ) or ads (hate those). It actually is about trying to help folks. And my place is small so it isn't a big deal to walk to where you want to be. Hopefully that is an "acceptable" reason for the OP LOL.
  8. 695. I counted and added twice a couple of days ago and posted. So likely that is VERY close. Only counted slips with houseboats, not empties There are still empties on Bellisseria so some I guess just don't get used (ambiance? LOL)
  9. While avatars are separate entities so far as Linden Lab is concerned the GOVERNMENT doesn't look at it that way and so far as REAL dollars being moved -- LL must comply with government rules. If you cash out over a few hundred dollars a year (I thought it was 600 long ago when the new rule came into effect but support can tell you exactly) you need to prove who your are for tax purposes. I DO KNOW that money earned in Sansar gets added to the money earned in SL for tax purposes since both platforms are owned by Linden Lab. And LL can easily see that you sent money to your alt in order to cash out. And yes, LL almost always knows who your alts are :D. If you try and work around the cash out limit this way it might look dishonest. So I would definitely do some research and ask some questions (billing) before trying that as red flag waving is NOT a good thing. I can tell you that they look at three months of cash out before raising your rates; when you apply for a rate raise and don't get it -- that's the info you get back (or at least did). So let's say you made 1200 and could only cash out 999. You have leftover dollars which get added to the next month. You cash out 999 again and now have even a larger surplus that you can't cash out. This "in theory" needs to happen for three months to show that you REALLY need your limit raised. You might be able to get it raised before that if you have a long history of making money and they can see that you are "legit". If you think about it, you wouldn't be asking if you didn't think it was somehow wrong to try and circumvent the process.
  10. I am one of the VERY select few that has no cell phone. THAT is on purpose LOL. Hopefully timing will be good for you.
  11. Take your notebook or your phone with you if you can. You do not need to be IN SL to grab a houseboat. You only need to have access to the website. Even a library would work LOL.
  12. We all have to learn, but honestly it would be better IMO to advise those residents to go to a school and get some basic building skills -- which really, everyone should have. There are just SO MANY WAYS this linking trick can go wrong, I shutter when I see these advisory threads. Yes, for folks that build and understand it is easy, but many have forgotten how hard it was to learn those skills. But feel free to put some steps down. The folks reading this thread have been warned a few times. ONE more thing that is pretty important here and hasn't been touched on. The MORE you put in your house (unless you really understand how the viewers work) and the heavier the mesh is --- the more you are increasing LAG for yourself and everyone else. Put too many small heavy mesh objects (the greatest offenders normally) in one area view and you can watch your framerate plummet. This ALSO affects your neighbors. So MAYBE using more optimized mesh and remembering that empty spaces are important to design is a key point. :D.
  13. Well, JUST LIKE LAST TIME (a reminder there) everyone has the same chance :D. I think the houseboats will be easy enough to get (again for those paying attention)--- IF people aren't terribly picky. If they start rerolling to get a better spot then they may lose out. I can't imagine anyone giving up a beachfront house for a houseboat (well we know where MY choices lie) but I did see a really nice beach lot that still hadn't been occupied so I guess it is a possibility. I know at least two people who are trusting that "I" will inform them. LOL. It will certainly be interesting watching the race. To be FAIR, some of the folks that signed up on the Update post may have lost interest again by now. Happens.

    Shopping

Putting names in post as you have here is against the forum rules, so you need to remove specifics == so "a product" and "the owner" instead. If the seller has a redelivery terminal you can use that to get your item redelivered. If it was from the Marketplace you can now (in most cases) get your item redelivered from the Marketplace without contacting the seller. It has only been a day and it is the weekend when many folks don't log in. So waiting another day or so would be appropriate, then write again (both IM and Notecard unless there is special contact instructions in the seller's profile" would be a smart method.
  15. I posted this earlier on another thread recently (we are obsessed it seems with saving LI LOL) But here is how you TELL if you can link something together and get it to SAVE (and often it wont). There are THREE parts to the land impact equation --- download, physics and server. The LARGEST one is the one that is counted. You can see that info by selecting an item and then clicking on "more info" in the build menu. IF you item (as seen below) has low download, physics and server numbers you can link to another item with SIMILAR numbers and get a "bonus" in land impact. So in this case all the numbers are below one. Good! If I linked TWO of these vases together they would become ONE land impact. Any two items with the highest number that when LINKED add up to 1.5 or less will become ONE. Anything above the X.5 (any number for X) will round UP and sometimes can be MORE than the items are separately. It is also important to note that you shouldn't link scripted objects together -- this is more for decor pieces. IF you link three objects together it will ROUND UP to "2" even if the download and physics are very low. 1.5 in the SERVER setting rounds up.
  16. According to Patch Linden, inventory is NOT an issue, but LARGE GROUPS can cause a significant difference. Also a LARGE FRIENDS LIST. He stated this recently and I immediately got rid of some large groups that I didn't need anyway. My friends list is at 20 so not an issue. So look at those and see if you have any wiggle room :D.
  17. Some VERY popular designers are currently making VERY heavy mesh items (also with many large textures but that's another story). As many folks have found you need to balance THOSE "primmy" items with low prim (and still very good if made correctly) furniture and decor. 351 prims is A LOT. I still have 24 left and have added --- carport, sheltered patio, front porch with "widows walk" balcony, greenhouse, guest cottage and tons of furniture an clutter. Feel free to visit. I am at Heathstone on the beach and the only "moss green" house there with TONS of stuff in the yard and a big garden LOL. Difficult to overlook. So as folks have said -- or at least hinted, you need to start shopping more wisely. We all had to learn that (or we have the same problem you have). But looking at the other photos of what people have accomplished with those 351 land impact points --- a LOT of folks really figured it out. You can to!
  18. In Sansar the person in question had their account removed. VERY likely that would happen here also, so I don't see any giant threat of future trouble with THAT avatar.
  19. Stolen lindens - stolen credit card to buy the lindens used to buy from you? This happened to a ton of us (well a big percentage of a small group of creators) in Sansar. So looks like you sold something on the Marketplace that was 250 and they are removing your part of the money from your account. Nothing you can do about it. It's the law.
  20. That is all that was ever planned (and they made some huge improvement of that level idea over what was at the beginning. So I don't see more than that coming. Of course that is just my guess. I am avoiding EEP as long as I can. It's that ostrich thing LOL.
  21. I use all my own Windlights and Whirly assured me I could upload them under EEP. With a charge of course. And hopefully they will look as good as they do currently in FS (one never knows). BUT there is also the editing of settings for photographers which isn't getting rave reviews (although it WAS added so that was a plus). It often puzzles me how often the lab overlooks the simplest everyday things -- like rez zone on the new continent and the NEED for photographers to be able to change the environmental settings on the fly. To their credit they DO fix these things, but still it puzzles me.
  22. Some are as low as 6 (this is also true in the new houseboat "pickle" area) and some (at least in the new easy to count pickle) are 26. For all practical purposes most homes are on MUCH larger VISUAL plots when you count in the buffer areas. Mine is 53 x 42 meters before it becomes "someone else's" land. Some parcels are much bigger VISUALLY AGAIN than mine. I don't think there are any with 30. I went and counted a few sims that seemed to be the most dense (no water or giant public areas and more designed in a square (and not as pretty LOL) and they were 20. The "Trailers" ? which were MUCH smaller homes had 26 so I am guessing 26 is the top number and maybe 6 the bottom number. NOPE. I went looking and found one with THREE (and better FPS and it is on the water) LOL. PRIME real estate - Jacinto
  23. They have made a LOT of changes since I wrote the post (and honestly I had to go back and look as I didn't remember writing). I use FS and have the current one and aside from the clouds being "flat" to my eye most of my Windlights(R) are very similar and I am going on as usual. But as you say, while folks WERE interested in the beginning, not so much now with all the issues. So most are planning on "working around EEP" if it ever becomes the norm. BUT the new Linden Homes were a big hit and the Marketplace is making great stride with cleaning up and refining. Not EVERYTHING works out as planned. IF we get EEP even though it is pretty obvious folks don't want it (wouldn't be the first time we had things forced on us -- like no last names LOL and see how well THAT worked out) then the third party viewer who does the best job "working around" will likely pick up a lot of new followers. I am pretty sure that the TPV devs can see this and hopefully have some plans to save us.
  24. Just to note, there is a SAVE feature with AVsitter so that anyone can save their poses depending on the avatar which is very handy. Just adjust using the menu in the chair or couch or whatever and then use SAVE and the next time that avatar sits, it is perfect -- unless they changed their hover height of course :D.
  25. Orange ghosts.... Many MANY orange ghosts. What's up?
