  1. The day that I went to the "pie" house there were tons of folks there, so likely there was some kind of event, tour, open house gallery thing going on. I just ignored the people (and likely the sign they were in front of on the right) and cammed into the building. Since I have never gone or been in any of the event tours, I wouldn't recognize any signs anyway. I kinda like the alternate reality explanation though, much more fun.
  2. All I can say was that the sign I saw was on the other side of the walkway, was white and plain like with a simple black "metal" border. I may have been hopping over to that other reality I visit quite often (not always handy) but that is what I remember. I "MAY" have seen an extra sign for a "tour" maybe? I guess that is a more likely explanation than the alternate reality. I did NOT take a screenshot :D. Glad it has always looked classy.
  3. Sorry I was reading your comment to "say" (which it didn't) that "A****" wasn't part of the parcel name. Seems likely the maker wouldn't want the store name as the parcel name. THAT would be confusing in search unless it said "demo house" or something. Still MUCH more tasteful sign IMO. A good thing!
  4. It USED to say "A**** Pie". You can fill in the asterisks. I may have the date I was there in my teleport history but maybe two weeks ago? I didn't bookmark so have no idea what sim it is in :D. This is much more tasteful I think. The other sign wasn't all that impressive aside from the obvious store reference. Edit: While I remembered the name as "A**** House" my landmark tells me it was "A**** Pie" so one or the other. Nothing else on the sign as I remember.
  5. OK. NOW I am very confused. "Shapes" is right there in this screenshot of yours. Maybe I missed the whole point. On with the day.
  6. Shapes have always been under "body parts". For some reason (I am guessing the viewer used) "body parts" isn't showing up. My screenshot is from Firestorm. While that customization search USED to be in the Linden viewer, I don't see any way to get to that now -- but I almost never use the Linden viewer so it may be possible. So YES you do need to be able to customize the search. I guess I just wasn't clear enough.
  7. Actually I think the demand is pretty even now (although houseboats were certainly in demand before this last launch). Of the folks that I know personally that got plots in this last rollout, all wanted houses and "took" houseboats because that was all that was available. The next release (we are thinking maybe in a monthish but no official time estimate) will be a mix of both so hopefully THAT will help solve some of the issues with boat people in houses and house people in boats LOL. Good luck. Hope you get just what you want eventually.
  8. Shapes show up under "Clothing/ Body Parts". Your screenshot looks like you are using an 1.23 3rd Party viewer so that may be part of your problem.
  9. I think pretty much everything has been said by now but I did want to ask -- Did we ever get an official OK or "no" on the tip jar question? I remember a thread asking for clarification for DJs and such for their "club". Did we ever get a clarification on the "club" thing? It really is difficult for folks to follow the rules when they are murky (even if they are the kind of folks that DO follow the rules). My only bit of info is that when LEA began long ago "commerce" was excluded in the land tab (still is). Any items for sale must be for $0 lindens. Tip jars were OK for a time, then banned -- but CURRENTLY are now only for special occasions: So it would be good in the long run for the Belliseria continent to spell things out a bit better I think. Note also that the very top of the LEA lands covenant reads: The LEA is not affiliated with Linden Lab ...
  10. I hope you realize that the "little blue houses" represents a HOUSE PLOT and that you can change the house on that plot to any of four styles. Same with the houseboats. Also if you do actually see a houseboat available on refresh you need to be VERY FAST or another person can get it before you do. Just putting that in here for folks who may have missed those two important points.
  11. Really? REALLY!!!!??? One if the things I enjoy most about our new continent when looking at it on the map is how much BETTER it looks than the rest of its neighbors.
  12. Well "I" am one of those names always off gals. I like my screen EMPTY like a canvas. Those names spoil the view for me. I have turned them on when teaching classes, but most of the time I am in IM or I know the folks I am chatting with LOL.
  13. The typist is so VERY glad that Chic is not a joiner and isn't in any Bellisseria Home groups - (have to smile - really). That being said, I am obviously on the fringe here. But for the record (and folks can believe me or not as they choose) except for my last building which was a request, all the work I have done in the past month were things for MYSELF. I have given up making products, given up the Event rat-race (one only now and not nine). Things now are either for ME because I want them and can't find them already made -- or they are for LEA6. Do I sell my creations afterwards? Certainly. But I am sure a few creators will understand the difference here -- and it is more of a physiological thing than a business choice. I am WAY happier and get much more enjoyment from the process with the the new (and this actually was my old method for many years also) plan. I am perfectly fine with whatever the decision is made -- IF one is made (I am doubtful that it will be). I can easily make a mock up house and put my add-ons as demos on my own shop land. I have plenty of prims available to me. I think it is NICER to see things as the are naturally, but not a big deal for me at all.
  14. Since we KNOW the covenant for the new homes has changed since the Expo and since we first moved in, I am going to paste the land covenant below for HISTORICAL REFERENCE. Note that ANY SCRIPTED ITEM even if not for sale will have information on mouseover for folks that have their settings that way. While I personally think that the the "show homes" (I only know of two) that only use the items of one creators (the home owner's) is a little "tacky", I don't see that it is against the COVENANT. However, when you go to OK your home you see THIS screen which includes NUMBER 8 -- so it is questionable. I haven't seen the list of "show homes" and I am not on the "Parade of Homes" although neighbors on both sides are LOL. Presumably I am not on that show home list. I do believe that there is a subtle but important difference between creators that took a house to show off their items and creators that LIVE here and use items from other retailers as well as there own. This is just my take on the whole subject. IF Linden Lab wants to ban the show houses as being against the covenant, I am sure they will and those that feel it is wrong have the ability to complain via AR. 15. With my framerates back to my normal -- months in the reversal -- I have been doing a happy dance, almost continuously. I decided to see if my scooter worked better with a doubling of those important digits. The not so grand tour went from my nearest rez area back to my home. Not that far, but I still got into trouble a time or two. Happily the folks with security seem to be following The Lab's rules and I made it back on the street (oh so not gracefully) before I was booted home (whew!). There are some lovely areas along the route. I especially like the home with rock steps leading to them. I headed west then south and fairly quickly found myself at my home region. The crossroad leads to the neighborhood rocky park which was my cue to get off the main roads. Navigating the PATH was much more difficult and I ended up on one neighbors yard trying to get back beyond the fence line. But eventually I DID make it home. No way could I navigate back through my tiny gate opening so I hopped off and let the server return my scooter.

  17. Well we can't see the elevations all that much from the map, so likely it is a placement starting point (I am hoping as the regions they picked are not some of my favs :D). So moving the roads to compensate with the land and such would make them different automatically. Hopefully there will be some more lovely but different community areas. Those really DO let the regions have different characters. So kind of like picking out a template from Blogger (or Wordpress most likely) and then moving things around a bit and changing colors and such. Even using different trees would make them different. So likely a good workflow idea.
  18. Glad you enjoyed the tour! :D. Yes the wave sound is excellent and really add some ambiance. I bought it WITHOUT a demo as it got such good reviews and gave it lots of stars. Now that my framerate is back after MONTHS (very painful) I am going to try out scooter again. I did much better with the little bug car than the scooter, but may have been the framerate. I have never been the best driver here, although on Opensim I practiced on a friend's bike at his track every day and got VERY good with one of the best track times LOL. Priorities. And the scooter is low LI so makes a nice prop too. A bonus there. I think I ended up with the wave sounds WAY up in the sky (and invisible happily) as they were too loud for me when on the ground.
  19. Nope, you need to be MUCH older than that for the $500 (even for the $400). You need to be almost 13 years old for the $500 and almost that old for the VERY brief time when it was 400 before going to 300. .
  20. Late last night after a long but fruitful day I just felt like taking some photos. 32 days in I "think" I am pretty much settled in. Lots of building and rearranging. I likely have the most outside "clutter" of anyone (well anyone that I saw on my grand tour the other week LOL. But I am primarily an outside gal. Still need a few things for the upstairs and still have some land impact points. So over time things will change slightly no doubt.
  21. The grid has gone to mesh bodies for the most part. You can likely find some legacy style shoes on the Marketplace. Most current designers have tossed theirs out long ago. BOOTS will be easier to get to work. Don't buy anything made for mesh feet though as they will not work. Both alramura and eBody have FREE (limited) mesh bodies if you want to try those out. Good luck.
  22. To celebrate my framerates returning after MONTHS (whew) I bought that gorgeous plant fro ROIRO (I typically don't shop so a big deal) and put it in the entry of the dance studio. Perfect. I alsod ventured over to the ROIRO store where there is a very nice gift on the counter. Seems like the shop had a redesign since I was there a few weeks ago. AND I made a flower bed for my very bare looking garden patio area. MUCH softer now. You would have THOUGHT I would have one, but no! And I am DONE for awhile. Ten Land impact points left but I have two "primmy" things that can disappear as needed.
  23. New dance studio -- which as a bonus really makes the area more private and cozy. Needs more plants. Inventory digging time.
  24. I logged in this morning to find my framerates (store, home and LEA) all back to their norms --- double what I had been getting since I made this post long ago. Whether it was the recent Network adjustments or a Windows security update (the 15th) or a combo I know not. Seems more likely that it was the Network tweaking since I didn't notice an improvement until today. But either way it seems like NONE of the things I tried on my end were the problem. Textures still loading and blurry (actually got worse for awhile doing the Network fixes with them reloading and reloading while I watched) but I am getting use to that. Happy to have my framerates back!
