  1. Actually I understood that. Just thinking that would be the closest topic listed in the choices for support. Hope you get there. Look for the mesh sandboxes. They are quiet. Mesh Sandbox 2, 4 etc I think.
  2. The last time I checked people with old accounts could still get to Aditi without issues but any newish SL citizens had to send in a ticket. Not sure what category you would choose but something technical like unable to connect? Not sure if this is still the case. Been very quiet over on Aditi for quite some time. Good luck.
  3. If it was my choice (obviously not knowing all I would need to know to make a REALLY informed decision) I would put the extra traditional houses and the extra houseboats (promised today by Patch) on the original Pickle. I am guessing from what we have seen on the SSP map that there are supposed to be DIFFERENT house styles in the empty areas between the mountains on the main continent. Adding more of the very same houses in that area would make things pretty darn boring. I still want to see "the trailers" and the green roof houses with chimneys LOL. NOT just fleetingly on the SSP map :D.

ACTUALLY I think the most foolproof method for knowing when it is TIME is to simply watch the map. The closer we got to noon this time the more likely it would be "any minute now". I was refreshing the screen before the announcement (I never actually SAW that announcement) came out. About that time the houseboats and some houses started showing up and the website started giving out continuous error messages. That was a hint there. One look at the map and it was obvious that the game was afoot :D. Having thoroughly enjoyed the first release last month with lots of chatting and laughter and congrats and such from other citizens, I have to say this was much more stressful and I didn't even want a houseboat :D. But there really isn't any other way that I can see. Eventually things will even out and plots won't be so difficult to get ---- but until then, it's going to be tough.

Nope. Checked. I did get ONE from Patch's thread but not in a timely manner. But not today's. May have been "server overload" as we all seemed to have major issues and continuous error messages. But if people are counting on that message to alert them when it is TIME ..... Edit: Actually I don't have a spam folder and the new ISP that now has my email seems NOT to filter either. Happily I spent over a decade getting RID of all my junk mail, so not an issue for me. Thanks for the thought.
  6. Long day -- mostly good day. Welcome new Bellisserians!

Noting again that did NOT happen for me today. Could be that the web server was in cardiac arrest, as we know how all that went. So counting on that instant update isn't the best plan it seems. In theory maybe, but not in practice. Also my alt who was looking at houseboats (not to keep) was supposed to get an email about her new home (and the email address is correct) and that didn't happen -- ever. So something to think about when folks ask about the next release. There are better ways to handle that overload but most likely not a priority.
  8. I just spent most of an hour getting my shop back into shape. Vendors had moved MANY meters away from their original spots, some apparently going off parcel and disappearing. Not only did they shift in both X and Y directions, some changed rotation (not many). The "Z" access seemed to be stable. I had to derender many walls to find all the helter skelter vendors. Some had moved well over 6 meters in one direction and one meter in the other. I only found this because a customer wrote wondering where a demo was. I went to the shop (where I had put up new items two days ago and all was fine) to find a HUGE mess. So, dear merchants, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go check your vendors and such. Mine are non-scripted old fashioned prim vendors so nothing to do with scripts. EXTREMELY MESSY AND FRUSTRATING. Good luck to everyone. I am on mainland and main channel.
  9. Agreed. I am just hoping that folks will stop writing as if things were FACTS and OFFICIAL when there is no evidence to what they believe :D. I think they made the correct choices, but each choice changes things.
  10. Can you please source your info on that or is it just your opinion. Kind of important for folks to know that. Thanks.
  11. Glad that it IS on the Marketplace although I had to go to Mad Pea store and then search there as terms listed didn't show it in main search. A sign WAS on my todo list but I had a LH customer write with a request which I thought was an excellent request and so pulled up some prims so I could make a mock up this afternoon. But thanks for reminding me about the sign. With all the atoll excitement I am blurry today. Will write myself a note in INK on PAPER so I don't forget. And I "thought" I was finished building! LOL. EDIT: Sign pretty quick. Other build not so much. Will work accordingly.
  12. I never lived in an old Linden Home but from what the folks that I know well have told me it wasn't very community oriented. I think at the VERY beginning there may have been some comraderie going on, but certainly not in later years or now. Mostly empty and not used places that aren't visited often or mostly used for changing rooms and the like. That has been mentioned on these forums several times. Hopefully the new continent will thrive and be more "homey".
  13. Quicker could not only relate to timeline, but "could" be a number of plots ready within a certain time period -- as in a "we are getting faster but there is also more to do" theme. And yes, as far as I know pure speculation possibly started by some "leaked" info. Not willing to say more. VERY happy to have someone point to an official comment suggesting the SL16 preview.
  14. Agreed. Note that the "SL Birthday Bash" idea has never been confirmed (or even stated official at any time as far as I know -- if someone has a quote, please add it to the thread). I know where I first read that claim, but that post seems to have been edited (long ago when I was attempting to source) so will not point to that now. The question now that we have some official info again (woot) is whether our earlier assumptions about SL16B are still relevant. I am guessing that The Lab WANTS to have a preview of new themes at SL16B but all the effort to get those 709 houseboats out AS WELL AS newly dedicated time (see Patch's post of today) getting more Traditional and Houseboats out for those still waiting has hampered that goal too much. Only a month until we will know if not before.
  15. Well 709 official houseboats (they evidently snuck a few extras in after my countings :D) isn't all that small. For the folks that don't hang out at the forums much it is REALLY important to pay attention to the OFFICIAL INFORMATION. For example, in the update post today Patch said: " We know they will go very quickly, but as time goes on we will get more out, and hopefully faster. Our next focus will be to bring more Traditional Homes plus more Houseboats in another smaller launch while working in parallel to a larger launch and an exciting new theme. As usual, stay tuned here for more updates!:" We DO know officially now that there will be both more TRADITIONAL houses that we have now, some more houseboats and (eventually) some new styles of houses. A few month's ago at a talk Patch said that nautical themes would be in the mix but that of course could change over time. So yes, there will be more styles and more houses, but that doesn't appear to be NEXT on the agenda. You can watch the SSP staging area to get an idea of both timeline and what will be offered.
  16. Well on the PLUS side, the more people that get homes, the less that will need them. So eventually (and that might be a very long time in the future) the supply should catch up with the demand --- or maybe some folks at The Lab can get shifted over from things most citizens don't care about or want LOL. That would be a double plus. There will likely still be some folks abandoning boats and houses as the move over to new places, so there is still a better than normal possibility of getting a plot. All is not lost.
  17. It is good to know that they are going to be working on MORE as well as NEW houses. So there might be some new areas of the old stuff in the next month, but unless there are more folks working than previously it doesn't seem like they can get BOTH done on the same timeline. I will be happy if they get some prototypes out for the birthday (only a month away (ish) now. They could maybe work on the original PICKLE area as that has both houses and boats planned.
  18. So we know now what to tell folks I guess when new places come out LOL. I NEVER received any notice about Patch updating his thread, even though I have "instant" notifications turned on. I may get it tomorrow ^^ so likely that isn't the best advice for the future. Like some noted, I went out to make tea (about two minutes) and came back to find that the atoll was full of green dots. Like pretty much everyone all I got was error messages on the website and a few "out of stock" and those green dots might have been there longer while I was busy refreshing. I then went over to my notebook thinking that finishing the process would be faster with touch and got a houseboat. Turned it in, got another, turned it in. Never planned to keep it -- just wanted the atoll experience. BUT I have two friends that now have houseboats that WANTED houses. Good to know they will have a chance again (maybe in a month since it took that long with this release?). But honestly if you weren't RIGHT there checking your computer you lost out (no notice on the SL blog) and even if you WERE right there all the website errors were beyond frustrating. VERY HAPPY I was part of the much more fun original release. That was a super fun stellar day. And congrats to those that got their plots.
  19. Well I have a FAIRLY good card (GeForce GTX 980/PCIe/SSE2) but more likely is that I have been working with Windlight since it came out. Not my "tag line" in profile LOL and I have taken tens of thousands of photos over the years. Practice helps. Of course the environment rules will (may?) be changing in the future with EEP. Happily I can apparently move my Windlights over to the new system. Hoping I just get to KEEP them. We'll see. I made this setting just for Bellisseria :D.
  20. Agreed. What we don't know NOW is how much time has been added to the next release BECAUSE of the houseboat atoll which took a full month. Logically that would put them behind their original target by a month. We have seen a few baby steps on new areas at SSP but that birthday bash preview may not make it. Hope it does.
  21. Couldn't find it even with area search so it may be gone --- or not have "sign" in the name which would be kinda odd LOL. BUT a great idea and very easy to make. So big thanks. Actually I have something already like that made and can redo a bit. Great tip.
  22. Grumpity just said that the network guys were unplugging and plugging back in things tonight but that it should be a short time issue. Hopefully it was. Don't forget network changes through Thursday.
  23. They are done building I am pretty sure. Did that at the SSP sims before the houseboats moved over. They have been TESTING. No one there now and hasn't been for awhile. And likely not much to see. Looks like they are pretty much done. All the floating text and markers seem to be picked up. Definitely boaty over there!
  24. Patch said "within 24 hours" which leaves about 18 hours or so to go -- unless they hit a snag which also may happen. So waiting for an announcement might save that pushing finger :D.
